It's true.

People who buy scratch and win tickets don't even have to scratch the whole thing to see if they won because all you need to do is scratch he serial number and have them check it if you won or loss since that serial number is how it determines who won or loss and what amount.

That's why you'll see old people just pick tickets from a centre and have the person scratch the number off for them to see if they won and you waste no time....

Yeah. It used to have a circle around part of the number if you won also so you knew you won. They removed that for what I can only think is 2 reasons.

1. They want people to have to go back in the store itself to check if they won and thus probably rope them into buying more.

2. More people to assume they lost and toss winners away by misreading the ticket.
