4th grade student Rhythm Pacheco and her mother, Naomi are outraged over an "offensive" math question that she had to do and have spoken out over it.

Rhythm Pacheco attends Grant Elementary in Utah and was doing her math when she came across a question that made her uneasy..

It said "The table to the right shows the weight of 3 grade 4 students. How much heavier is Isabel than the lightest student?"

She believed the question was offensive because it was asking a young student to compare the weight of 3 females sending the wrong message about body image

Naomi said "I was shocked..i was shocked..honestly. I feel like it's such an irresponsible way to teach cihldren how to do math. My daughter told me, you know mom, i'm not going to answer this question, i'm not going to do it"

Previous questions compared items like watermelons and animals like Saint Bernards as the homework was attempting to ask questions what these 9 year olds would relate to

But the question on girl's weights was unnecessary as she understands it was only a question but thought it was a demeaning message as girls shouldn't be comparing others

It came from Eureka Math used by the school district and they defended the question writing they never received complaints over the years as there's no value judgement in the question as it's merely a comparison

But Naomi said they were missing the point and said "I think we have other resources and other ways of our children math and how to weigh proportions, objects, people, without direct comparisons, especially little girls"

The correlation isn't about dying, it's about living that long and being unable to determine if things are or aren't important. Being offended at something so trivial shows that a person hasn't grown or learned anything about the world. Their life is clearly too easy, that they are creating wars because they have nothing else to do, and their stunted intellectual growth has caused them to take aim at total nothingness.
