I tend to like messing with unique style runs in some kinds of RPGs, this run was a mounted-unit only run of FE7, so all the horse riders and fliers. It's technically called a challenge, but really the only thing challenging about it was having the patience to grind due to wanting Priscilla to have S rank Anima instead of Staves and grinding everyone to 20 on Cog of Destiny just so I didn't have to stall out in the end game at all.

Oh right, to state, it's the favorite game of OrangeCrush, who honestly I haven't seen post in a long while but he still counts anyway.

I had beaten the first two Arkham games, and after opening up City I realized it would not run on my computer, so it won't be making the 3 games in a series option. Guess I'll be jumping into beating the Oracle games for Zelda, to finish those for the first time.

Mind Reflection- Inside the Black Mirror Puzzle (Steam)

Was entertaining, a couple tough things, though be careful if you think it's interesting; the game is set apart in 7 sections of 15 levels apiece, and the second to last section has the entire puzzle rotating. Just as a warning if you might be prone to get headaches with the color scheme it has. I wish I remembered who my Secret Santa was since I would have pinged him to thank him for this game if I did.

As I said to the last person who asked me what I thought, I can simply say that it, to me, had the perfect amount of difficulty for a puzzle game. There's definitely things where since I'm not perfect at solving stuff, I had to look a couple things up. It takes a lot of thought on some puzzles.

On this day, 6 years ago, I made my backloggery account. Today, without realizing it, I chose to finally beat the final boss I've been prepared for, for probably two weeks now. Fun to beat a game on the anniversary of my backlog. Especially this one.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Wii U)

For those that know me, you'll know that The Legend of Zelda is my favorite series. And while disappointed at Calamity Ganon and Dark Beast Ganon, compared to some other bosses through the series... it doesn't change what Breath of the Wild did. It gave me an open world with a challenging way to exploring it without making everything you do overwhelming at times, unlike a game I get frustrated at whenever it's complimented. It gave me nostalgia of many games throughout the series with its music and locations. It gave a lot of character in both its NPCs and its generic enemies. It's easily my game of last decade... As long as something doesn't exceed all of that.

Finally me doing the VGL update, and lol one Pokemon level survived through things. I kinda voted mostly Ice over non-ice and obviously my castles over those. Some big ice non-factors died in top 20 to let Ariamis and Hulbury go through, but it was enjoyable. Grancel killed the other Hyrule Castle around the midway point.

I forgot about Torch because yeah, you run once by accident and the torch is gone. Plus you won't have the torch by the time you're out of the shrine regardless and there's two shrines in the cold. Unsure which Old Man appearance gives the coat as I ran into him a few times and he didn't give me one.

On a random note, Level 8 was the highest level obtained this year. The last time Level 8 was the highest, was the 2012 season. Despite having a new skip function, we didn't have many people getting enough TBs to skip the later levels and push higher. Plus Level 7 was just unlucky this year with some big names having harder times towards the end of the year (McCaffrey being the most failed pick, and Michael Thomas being picked pretty much every week and failing some people twice). Receiving TDs are just that much harder now that more teams are using more guys.

Then Level 8 pretty much everyone swept the easy picks, but one of those always had an upset in it. Might be a time to have a couple random weeks have two Tiebreaker questions, but regardless, that's a discussion for the results topic, which I'll make a bit later today.

HBJ had a very excellent effort, pushing an impressive 17 points out of his tiebreaker points, but alas, he finishes second as one man who anticipated this point had succeeded in 3 L6 tiebreakers in previous weeks. He put out a lot trying to get passed Level 7 and this week it paid off with picks of Jameis Winston (2 TDs and one Falcons TD, which doesn't actually count), Derrick Henry (his 3 TD performance), and Cooper Kupp (who caught one of Goff's 3 TD passes). Great Plateau comes with one problem for me, the trek to Mount Hylia. For every else there's no wrong answer to how you might try to get to an area, but Mount Hylia only has one way to fight the cold. Cooking. And you have to wander around the mountain to even find a pot after you see spicy peppers in the log cabin. Plus it doesn't even have all the tutorials. You still have to find the battle tutorial after you leave the mountain.

A better Zelda first level will likely, in my eyes, be the Forsaken Fortress. It gives such a different feel for a Zelda game, being Link in an environment he's not ready for and even topping it off with showing that even with a sword, he's powerless in the grand scheme of things. Then it becomes a place you return to to show how much you have grown on this journey.

That's what I was basing my thoughts on. I could certainly be wrong.

In any case I had written the game off after the Seahawks got that first down at the end. I just assumed they would run it in from the half yard line and then the delay of game happened.

The fun fact about this, is the rule for an Illegal Forward Pass contradicts this.

Item 1: Illegal Passes. Any other forward pass by either team is illegal and is a foul by the passing team, including:
(a) A forward pass thrown when the passer is beyond the line of scrimmage.
Note: It is a forward pass from beyond the line of scrimmage *if the passers entire body and the ball are beyond the line of scrimmage when the ball is released*, whether the passer is airborne or touching the ground. The penalty for a forward pass thrown from beyond the line is enforced from the spot where the ball is released.

>The first rule states that a forward pass made after the ball moves forward of the LOS is not legal.
The second rule assumes that the ball is under control of the passer, and in that instance, it defines what being beyond the LOS means (The passer's entire body and the ball must be past the LOS at the release point for the pass to be illegal).

Not a post about a beaten game, but man. Had the plan to beat at least one a month this year but the middle of the year came with some bad decisions and not enough focus on games. As I won't beat anything more in these next four days, I end the year with 6 beaten games. Still more than previous years. And I've gotten some beatable things this December.
