Mass Effect (Steam)
Got the Legendary Edition when we had that huge sale, had a moment where I could barely play it but finally finished it back on Friday. Second time through so not much to comment, when I get to it it will be my first time in 3 though.

Next:
Fire Emblem Awakening (3DS)

What I had been playing for most of the year before I had a problem I had to wait a little bit for. I could have beaten it months ago but I stalled out wanting to break a bunch of my hoarded weapons and then finally gave up doing that. Granted, I levelled up enough that I had the disappointing one-rounded Grima so... kinda made the ending of the game underwhelming. Plus many other problems I've addressed to other people that puts this game in my bottom half of FE games.

Oh, after checking the doc I realized for the first time that I haven't even beaten a game thus far this year. Oops. Well, time to start beating things. I started with something I finally have pushed through other things to actually play:
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (3DS)

My first 3DS game beaten due to other things I won't mention here really, I was working on a few games throughout the past half a year, some games I won't really ever consider beaten and then the 3DS games that include a game I have a deep run in but am waiting to finish it up. As for this one, since it has a totals screen... 17448 rupees and 7 deaths comprised my first run. I skipped out on collecting 7 heart pieces which I'll head back in to collect another time. I also got 90 of the maiamais, so a bit more to collect when I decide to cap the 100% run out.

It's an incredible game, the reimagining of the Link to the Past version of Hyrule and gave more of a story to the back half. Also the sages were a fun shift, bringing back actual personalities for them like OoT was a bonus. Puzzles were incredibly creative at times and I couldn't tell you how many times I got stumped on something when the answer was just "merge with the wall and cross this gap." A lot more to say but this is already a long post, gotta get more done.

Listening to that visit to Platinum Flats trip after the recent visit to Gateway City sounded like walking the line between fun and tense too. Nocturna is certainly something.

As for this vis not drafting thing, it actually made me think of Kid Karnevil.

I've put off an extra scene with Nanaue for a while. There's just an intriguing nature of where Minerva has been falling in terms of adopting a partial supervillain identity and skirting around the idea of imitating Ocean Master that will eventually bring her back to Nanaue. Whom fought Orm and wound up with a scar because of it. Something that demonstrated early on the power of Ocean Master and made him obviously not a foe to tangle with until we were stronger.

I'll still never forget Minerva first meeting King Shark, tapping into him and explaining her powers to him. He thought she sapped his powers from him, but then after he calmed down he agreed to give over some of his power to Freddie Freeman. Just as a reminder to myself and others that it wasn't Minerva's obsession with Aquaman that lead them to the Aquacave (where we came across AJ and Nanaue), it was us following a Captain Marvel Jr riddle. And it was Minerva's connections with allies of Arthur (particularly Tom Curry) that gave them the answer to go there.

Fire is a case of a character that could have been a lot higher this campaign with a change of direction from me before the campaign started. We know about my character being Minerva, a princess of Tritonis. That wasn't entirely the guaranteed plan prior to this campaign. When creating my character I settled on an idea of being a princess and asked Scar where realistically I could have a princess come from. He gave me 10 options, one of which was Norway.

Norway was one of my three finalists, but I was definitely being nudged towards Tritonis. Had I picked Norway, this alternative character would have been the sister of Ice and would have met a contact of hers immediately in Fire. Everything surrounding Fire, Guy and Tora would have just been that much more of an insane situation for my poor little princess.

I'd also be remiss to mention one of the Devlin Davenport scenes included us at his house. I'm a player that struggles to just do... simple actions during a scene but Devlin had Minerva make... Martinis was it? Either way, I had to have Minerva slowly contemplating taking his gin bottle since he told us to help ourselves. One of the few times I decided to be proactive in a scene without being a main talker in a scene.

As for Doctor Light, not much to add to the topic. Kimiyo Hoshi was one of the contacts I put on Minerva early on to give me an excuse to be connected to the character. A connection that the reasoning behind it may become clear later on. They're truly mentor and student, as Minerva was once in Japan for extracurriculars and ended up babysitting Kimiyo's two children. A shock Minerva would suffer when she learned that the children were murdered in the time she was in the tanks that we woke up in.

I can't wait honestly to have one of my characters meet Lucifer. With both having their own curious connections to demons of Hell (most particularly Neron) and Lucifer is... just such an interesting character. It's just a wonder if they get the chance to even ask about some particular situations or something else.

I also don't really think Barragan should count. He has the skull face but he's merely a ruler over death. More like a devil than a reaper. He in fact planned to order hollows (which are undead creations essentially) to fight and kill one another.

Eclipso and Plastic Man were the two MI picks that I definitely scraped away from my mind due to them debuting after the list would have... essentially been cut-off. I still thought ignoring her debut that Eclipso could rank even essentially as a mention. We'll see about Plastic Man.

Because I didn't remember War's guess while I remembered yours.

Scar mentioned that we (though it was directed at War) wouldn't guess who it was which was people still speculating someone huge that that wouldn't be among the top 10 guesses that he'd make. I pretty much said in response "I highly doubt it's going to be something like that. It's going to be someone we either don't even realize is a character." Even that was wrong, but I was closer than the likes of suggesting Donna Troy or some other thoughts.

I really enjoy that Minerva has really only reacted to Jaime in sessions thus far. It makes for a slightly different dynamic if the two ever had more of an interaction on an rp day. Although I also like keeping his interactions with the likes of Pepper, Brennus, and Lush. He has plenty of people his story can continue with so I don't need to add him onto my list pushing back characters that... Well, are my characters to bond with.

Minerva not really being as connected to the magic world makes me have less reason to go to Fate. I feel like if she saw Mordru a second time herself she would go to him perhaps, since she talked to Alan Scott about that whole thing.

As for this, yes. When I visited him during RP bingo, Alice took on Arion's magic (I think his magic) and shoved Minerva into the crystal. Where he downright begged Minerva to let him out of there talking about how scary and lonely it was in there.

I, too, thought of him but figured he'd be low on this list if on it at all. Still higher than my Bane pick, but I was accurate.

I'm stalling on any follow-up with him. He deserves to fester for a bit.

I can't help but generally play Minerva a bit timidly since I myself am a bit timid when I'm walking into general chats. Bane is one of those characters were I can see the full reason of being scared of and his convo helped me find a little more of a confident place for Minerva. That confidence is NOT TALKING TO BANE.

The Sortofgin for Brennus was so fun to get to see into the mind of Vertigo having to flee from the League is great with the little pieces of the power struggle in the League we've seen. It'll be great to finally see Vertigo for real.

Happens with these lists, once we got all the major stuff it became clean out a few really big old films and stack on basically everything that aired after the previous one.
