Better still is that not only are they scanning your images against other whatever child abuse databases, but those images will be sent to Apple personnel for verification. I haven't touched computer forensics in seven years, but something tells me they haven't figured out how to get code to identify whether or not similar images are actually duplicates. Sure, they can look at the image syntax, but if they do that then something as simple as changing a few pixels would mean the syntax is different - requiring verification. In forensics tools that I've used, they had software that could scan for things like humans/bodies, but it was lightyears away from being able to use without visual verification of the images. It was only ever used for identifying potential images on a drive. At the end of the day, some Apple employee is gonna have to look at your nudes or hideously worse - actual CP.

Not only are they scanning your phones but they're also building a backdoor into their encryption. So I hope you don't like having rights against search and seizure on your phone because that's going out the window where Apple historically has said they literally could not unlock an encrypted phone if they wanted to.

It's an incredibly stupid and shortsighted idea. Imagine living in Hong Kong and having your real name attached to your posts while you try and unveil the hideous things that are going on there. If you think a company like Twitter is going to protect you, good fucking luck. They've long since proven they're not above bowing down to a place like China.

Whistleblowers and the like are protected for a reason. It should stay that way. Even if we have to deal with dickheads because of it.

Did you look at jobs prior to graduating? I don't know what the procedure is for grad school but when I finished my bachelor we were supposed to start looking around November for graduation in April/May.

Thats what I figured. It wasn't enough to make me hate the story but it was very deus ex machina and ruins the build up you saw with Sephiroth in the OG. If I recall correctly, you don't really see anything of old Sephy until the flashback in Kalm in OG?

But I enjoyed the Soldier stuff too. I'm hoping they become kind of a staple. I'd like to see more of their eccentric attitudes like the one was. Kinda like Megaman stage bosses.

Aside from the atrocious change to the story that led up to an even worse ending, it was a very good game. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that they were trying to aim for a clean slate deal with the story changes.

The OST updates/changes were incredibly good, the expansion of the existing characters backstories was great, and overall the battle gameplay was solid. But I think they overdid it with the a good deal of the sidequests - they're mostly just standard boring 'open world' sidequests. And there are parts that drag on. I'm also incredibly annoyed that I wasn't able to go into the secret room in the bar.
