I still wear a mask because I haven't gotten the vaccine and outside of friends and fam members who have, I do not know who has or hasn't been vaccinated.

I'm vaccinated but I still wear a mask when indoors. Especially when I'm out with my kids as they don't qualify for the vaccine yet and are supposed to wear a mask still. I'll wear mine to set an example for them

I wear it whenever I enter an indoor public place that's crowded. Restaurants I'll wear one when I enter and take it off when seated. Outdoors I never wear one.

I've been vaccinated since January.

Being vaccinated doesn't magically make you, and other people around you immune to all potential strains of the virus.

But it does magically make you highly resistant (by extension protecting you and other people around you) to currently extant strains of the virus

Because that's what vaccination is

You may carry it, at an extremely reduced viral load. The odds of symptomatic infection are very low; the odds that symptomatic infection causes severe symptoms is very rare. Second-hand symptomatic infections from one vaccinated individual to another would be exceptionally rare.

The virus cannot persist in a population of vaccinated individuals. And with few hosts, and existing at low viral load within those few breakthrough cases, the population mutation rate crashes to nearly 0.

The difference in effect size of mutation, total infections, and total deaths due to vaccinated individuals going with/without a mask is nothing compared to the effect of people refusing vaccinations entirely.

Despite the ratio of unvaccinated to fully vaccinated people in the US being about 1:1, covid deaths are over 100x more likely to occur in unvaccinated individuals. (Most of the rare severe covid cases amongst vaccinated people is likely due to the vaccine not fully providing protection in the first place due to weakened immune systems, evidenced by 3/4 of severe breakthrough cases occurring in those 65 and older).

The virus is circulating amongst the unvaccinated and spreading to other unvaccinated. If you are vaccinated, your choice to go without a mask is of essentially no consequence. That is not to say you can't wear one if you choose (do whatever you want).

I just got my second shot two days ago, so certainly not. Even once I hit the 2-week period, though, mask mandates are still in effect around here (as of the 3rd, my province was 71.8% with one dose, but only 28.3% with two, though I expect that's gone up quite a bit since then because there have been a lot of second doses made available in the past two weeks), and I'm not enough of a self-important prick to argue with minimum-wage store staff over something they can't control, especially when it's something as trivial as wearing a mask. Once they're lifted, I'll probably stop, but then it'll be a judgement call based on personal comfort levels with local vaccinations rates and whatever concerns I may have about whatever variants are floating about at that point.

We are required to wear them in pubs, stores and stuff unless seated so I just stick it on.

Yep. I have them in my car if I need them. But I go places without it until directed otherwise

I picked up a pizza yesterday and that was the first time I had to wear a mask in well over a week, including at work

We'll see what happens with the Delta Plus variant, but for now it sounds like the vaccines are working

Yup but I still carry an extremely used one in case some place requires one.

Vaxxed and masked. Better safe than sorry, and it's just a piece of cloth so there's no effort or inconvenience involved anyway.

I have one that I use to check my oil with. I don't know where the others went. Dust rags and trash long ago.

I rarely see masks anymore. It's been a couple of weeks.

I don't even know where mine is anymore. If we had to start wearing one again, I'd have to buy/make a new one.
