As your average, casual GFaqs voter, it's Ultimate > Melee no question. Same way it's MK8 > any other MK game. (I remember feeling damn confident in Brawl > Melee back during whatever contest that was for exactly this reason.) The people clinging onto Melee are the same ones who cling on to MK64 or, god forbid, the original SMK. It's not that the older games in the series are without merit. Whether you're talking Smash or Mario Kart there are definitely some unique, fun things about each installment. But the average person doesn't really give a shit about that. As a major fan of the older games, the new God of War took a while to find its rhythm. It starts slow but the combat options really open up around the halfway point. Like you said, warm weather is going to force states to loosen things up, whether they really want to or not. The crazy thing is, of course they're more likely to get sick from an intimate family gathering! Contrast to a grocery run where most people are wearing masks and trying to stay the heck away from everyone else. Just think how shitty you would feel if you went to a family gathering, only to feel sick a day or two later. Turns out you were asymptomatic at the gathering, and while hugging everyone before leaving, managed to pass the disease to your parents and grandparents. And then 2 weeks later one of them dies. I know, I know, awful hypothetical situation and all that but still.
