So, because I basically defined my bracket on The Show as "pick Xenoblade to win Div 4, pick Witcher>Skyrim, and call it a day," I decided to look at the cookie.

The cookie missed:

Oh yes, good timing.

That makes your bracket the 3rd most cookie bracket to ever win a guru, with a risk/match ratio of 7%.

The only winners with chalkier brackets were BKSheikah, in Years, and SND, in Rivals, with 3% and 6%, respectively.

But since both of those are small, gimmicky brackts, yours is the most cookie winner bracket in a normal sized contest.

Nice! Just curious, what prompted you to put Xenoblade above Fire Emblem? Thats the result that was most unexpected to me. Everything else makes a lot of sense. Well, that and Rayman beating Celeste.

What's a Fire Emblem?

I mean, on a more serious note, I've never heard anyone laud how great Three Houses is, and it's really new for a game that's supposed to be a 2-seed. The closest anyone's gotten (that I've heard) is heralding some of the music, but XBC has fantastic music and quite a few people are willing to go to bad for the game. I just figured it'd have the greater draw.

Oh, I certainly noticed it's presence in VGMC noms. But if picking a site contest based on VGMC nominations was my basis, why wouldn't I be taking Zakuzaku Actors to the quarterfinals?

Since I started submitting brackets in 2013 this is definitely the best I've performed so far, where I managed to get on the leaderboard at some point and would've gotten an extremely high placement if not for Witcher 3 > Skyrim. I'm quite proud of it.

Thank you to everyone who has congratulated me. It's really touching. However, I'd like to take just a moment to acknowledge that I think there's another guru who's at least as deserving and who I think should also be recognized.

@JONALEON1 outplayed me. Plain and simple. He had fewer misses (8 vs 11) and was absolutely dominant throughout the contest. Between the tail end of round 1 and the first half of round 2, he got ahead of me by SEVEN points, and remained nearly flawless for the rest of the contest. That's an absolutely tremendous performance. Unfortunately, 7 was also the magic number, because when he had his single miss I could capitalize on, it was worth 8.

If JONA picks Dark Souls rather than TLOU, not only does he win, but he has a considerable lead over 2nd place, has maintained his position atop the leaderboard from somewhere in round 2, and did I mention he also absolutely nailed the tiebreaker? This guy did basically everything right except for one pick, and it only opened the door just barely wide enough for one person to slip through.

So yes, I won. Go me. Rah rah. But please, if you would, it would mean a lot to me if you would also give Jona credit where it's due. Honestly, if you'd rather pay homage to him in your sig instead, I'm fine with that, too. He deserves it.

Who the hell was COVlD? It has to be someone here, because getting on the leaderboard for such a long period of time is really hard to do, even knowing as much as about the contests as Board 8 does.
