Once you start to get them wrong he gets mad and chases you all around school with his ruler trying to wack you with it, you have to duck into different classrooms and hide under desks and such. People were getting in fistfights over toilet paper across the country, there were two hour lines to get into Costco, people were losing their minds and desperate to get any kind of "emergency" supplies. Saying "and you all need to wear masks every time you leave the house!" would have thrown fuel on the fire and ensured no doctors and nurses would have been able to find any for a month. Our question is How satisfied were you with the way Mass Effect 3 ended the Mass Effect trilogy? Please vote based on the original on-disc ending, not the free Updated Ending DLC that was added later or any of the aftermath paid DLCs. --- Last Week's Result * Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 3 - Trials & Tribulations earned an average of 3.77 In a performance that will surely never be matched, over 80% of the board graded T&T the full 4 points, smashing the old record for Best Ending Ever! The topic didn't receive quite as many votes as previous weeks (even here at Phoenix Wright's home on the web it isn't quite as popular as Star Wars), but T&T was so far ahead of Breaking Bad and Avengers that no extra votes were going to keep it from #1. As for discussion, there wasn't too much to be had last week... only because every poster agreed the ending was "pretty much perfect." Background: Disney paid an unheard of $75 million for the distribution rights and planned to do a huge theater rollout, but with theaters all underwater for possibly a while longer they've moved it to their streaming service instead. All we need to do is take away the license of the worst drivers on the road (once they get into their third accident or something) and force them to use an AI car instead, and the roads will be 35% safer overnight. For this 5th week our question is How satisfied were you with the way Ace Attorney 3 - Trials & Tribulations ended the original Phoenix Wright trilogy? --- Last Week's Result * Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker earned an average of 1.71 Over 45% of Board 8 punished Episode Nine with a dreaded "1"; that wasn't quite as bad as we blasted Game of Thrones, but GoT received more 4s and 3s to balance things out. In the final tally, The Skywalker Saga was narrowly able to avoid being named the new Worst Ending Ever. We thought EP9 had some good moments but was underwhelming overall, and that each film from the new trilogy felt like it came from its own series and they never added up to something amazing like the original trilogy did. Welcome to Best Ending Ever, the topic series where Board 8 will decide the best (and worst) endings in the history of film, television, literature, and video games. Each week we'll cover a well-regarded or controversial new entry. For this fourth week the topic title meant to ask How satisfied were you with the way Rise of Skywalker wrapped up the 9 film Star Wars: Skywalker Saga? --- Last Week's Result * Avengers: Infinity War & Endgame earn an average of 3.31 Over 50% of Board 8 awarded the original era of the MCU's ending the full four points; Breaking Bad did slightly better in that regard, but the Avengers films countered by collecting fewer low votes. I thought BB's strong score might earn it the BEE championship belt for years, but IF/EG came within one voter of stealing the crown in Week 3! Our general sentiment was that the films were pure crowdpleasers with amazing setpieces and only a few missteps, and a fitting finale for the original class of Marvel superheroes.
