| Ngamer64 01/01/18 7:07:36 PM #57 | Okay here's my thoughts on everything. 1915 - classy look but I feel like this could have been worn any day post 1871; loses points for being too generic and not "of the era", still glad I picked this as the one to exclude 1925 - huge improvement and points for being the first attempted "modern" style but the Gatsy-style/flapper era isn't my cup of tea, leaves this mid-tier for me 1935 - surprised to see this performing so well. in terms of classy looks this is a nice upgrade over 1915, but we're voting for sexy and this outfit screams bored housewife; it's near the bottom of my tierlist 1945 - #1 for me, super stylish while pulling off both sexy and professional, a rare combo. props to B8 for their good taste in making this the Champ (or at least runner up depending how the final votes go) 1955 - just awful, looks like a rain coat and makes me want to apologize for all the mean things I said re: 35's takes on the bored housewife. easy last place 1965 - I love the classic Jackie O look and I'm shocked, shocked I tell you to see B8 giving this outfit no respect as it's my personal #2 choice 1975 - there were some really fun styles in the late 60s and 70s... but this outfit wasn't one of them. I do like the sunglasses but everything else drops it to second-to-last on my ranks 1985 - this particular dress is fine but in general I hate the big hair, big shoulderpads, big makeup style of the mid 80s so this is punished with a mid-tier placement. credit to B8 though, this shows the most skin so I thought this would win the poll but I was proven wrong in a big way 1995 - when it comes to 90s style chokers are a plus, and I appreciate that everything got more casual, but the rest of the ensemble here is a negative. a mid-to-bottom tier placement for ol' Ng 2005 - a top tier outfit + hairstyle in all respects, this is #3 for me and I'm happy to see B8 is in agreement 2015 - a strong look but too much a ripoff of the superior 2005, and yo might have a point about this not being super representative of the era (they did the shoot in mid '15, might have been more accurate if they waited for trends to settle by 2017) On the male side I'd go with what appears to be the majority in supporting 1935, '45 is also good and I don't hate the last 15 years either. None of those are the outfits a woman would have worn to a date, a club or a party. I'd say 25 and 85 were designed for the club, 65 was designed for parties (dinner parties though, not so much dancing), 45 and 55 were for work/walking around the neighborhood, but the rest would have been worn on dates by younger girls in their era.
