I'm not sure why Smith couldn't just do his copy thing over each of the 666 beasts one by one.

Since I believe the reason you can't defeat the guy without continent destroying power is because you have to beat all of the beasts at once or they regenerate. Copying himself over the beasts seems like a strange alternate way to defeat them that I'm not sure they'd be able to "regenerate" from.

I thought the whole third place was to help weed people out. Turns out that's what the percent thing is for.

Now knowing that exists I wouldn't take any upsets and go for the 1% (or 5% if you don't estimate many will be ahead of you) range, unless you actually think one will happen.

I kinda wish I knew this percent thing existed beforehand. I wouldn't have given up in the middle if I knew I could triple my pointage by nailing a 1% shot.

If you're betting on an upset just to take one, and don't actually think Cloud has a chance, Cloud is the last one I'd bet on.

Why? Because it's possible enough people will jump off on Cloud/3rd place that you don't in fact have to bet on Mario to win. Unfortunately you won't be able to see how many drop on third place, but yeah.

Also if Cloud does poorly enough against Link you may want to put your money on Trainers > Cloud.

Keep in mind that this match is on a Friday, which means a lot of potential voters are probably like... doing stuff. It's about 1000 votes ahead of every other Friday match in the bracket. None of the other Friday matches were very good vote draws though, with the best being Mario vs Ike, so who knows.

Cody Rhodes - Forgetting that he already was one and terrible, no. His normal voice is too boring, and his deranged voice... well, maybe in a Randy Orton-esque face. I don't see the guy having the vocal talent to do much else and he certainly doesn't look very likable.
Alberto Del Rio - Yes as I said earlier in the topic he's practically more of a face than a heel already aside from his cheap heat gimmick and token post match beatdowns.
Wade Barrett - Not seeing it. Can this guy even smile?
The Miz - People say he can do it but I'm not convinced. He's just too obnoxious (by nature-- this guy is from The Real World) and has that douche face you want to punch. Then again Slater, king of punch-me, started as a face so who knows.
Dolph Ziggler - If he turned on Vickie right now and started feuding with other people he'd already be one. Just needs a CATCHPHRASE~ or two.
Jack Swagger (though he's bordering on jobber level right now, he's at least on television consistently) - Agree with Sytha that he'd be a lot better as one and that the Cole/King thing should've been used on him.

TNA's women's division was awesome a little over a year ago (or was it two?) to the point where they'd steal the show sometimes but now it's just dreadful. Give me juvenile angles involving models that can't wrestle over Karen "change the channel because of my voice but I get a 10 minute promo anyway" Jarrett and 10 minutes of women on women brawls where they shout "SKANK" at each other repeatedly.

Also they insist on blowing a quarter of every show on it which makes it worse. I suppose their talent in ring is a bit better, but emphasis on a bit these days with most of their talent gone and replaced with the likes of Tessmacher and Traci.

Final Fantasy Tactics is pretty tough to say. Even the game's slow parts aren't really bad-- probably why I like the game. I guess uh the "SAVE ____" missions in general cause the guest AI is a crapshoot unless they beast over the enemy and don't really need to be saved.

I was skeptical that the two would be able to keep Cole in line, and if they did it'd just lead to a lot of awkward silences for Cole, but if it supposedly worked for Hell in a Cell then maybe I'm wrong! I do think if Cole can be kept in line that's probably the strongest announce team for PPVs because all three guys are capable of getting into the action and screaming if something big happens which is really important for a PPV, and this is probably Josh's one weakness as an announcer (and one of Cole's few strengths-- nowadays these are the only three guys that I trust to be able to get sufficiently excited for things).

Basketball also has an advantage over stuff like street hockey and soccer in that you need less people to play. 4 people works fine-- even 2, really. Soccer or Street Hockey you're going to need at least 6 for it to be remotely interesting. 8 or 10 ideally.

Way too much Cole on these lists. JR/Cole/Booker especially seems like a trainwreck waiting to happen. I sorta see the logic, that a heel announcer seems necessary on a big show, but... yeah, I think Cole would be in nonstop "lol what did you say" mode with those two.

What WWE really needs is a heel announcer that can ignore the other announcers most of the time.

Basically any combo is good as long as you keep Cole away from anyone who says dumb stuff that isn't smarter than he is, and keep Booker T or Striker with Josh Matthews, and have JR or Booker T involved in any announce team unless it's like Superstars where big stuff that you need guy to scream for doesn't really comes up. ... which kinda limits Cole to the B shows, actually, since JR and Booker are both prone to saying stupid things.

So yeah I like that combo Maniac proposed but replace all instances of Cole with JR except NXT. Cole can stay on NXT.

Assuming JR absolutely isn't an option I guess Maniac's configuration works, though I think Josh/Booker/Stanford is the better PPV team.

Even short Del Rio promos are bad because all he does is shoehorn all his catchphrases in. Long ones he does that with some spacing so they all seem the same and since he's a heel he doesn't get the energy that repetitive face promos get so they seem boring. I still think he's got skill he just doesn't realize that's what he's doing wrong. Like I said, his vignettes make me think that's the case. Unless he's just really bad at improv and doesn't want to put effort in to memorize some good material or can't make his own good material because the WWE writers wrote his vignettes in full.

But yeah his facial expressions are awesome.

Josh Matthews/Scott Stanford/Booker T would be the best announce team I think. I see Stanford as being able to play off of Booker T's silliness without it distracting from the match, and Stanford being just weird enough that Josh can play off it but that the combined weirdness at the table doesn't overwhelm Josh like it would with say Josh/Booker/Striker.
