This one should be the very minimum output of Mega Man's Buster.

Again my base reference point for Doom is the OG one but it's all the same universe point is you've got Plasma as an established weapon type and it's generally better than the ballistics there.

I'm not saying Mega instantly kills him, just that he will eventually (he should have no problem dodging Cyberdemon's rockets this is Mega's standard enemy type) with his base weapon not considering any of his other stuff.

Like Doom literally has a Plasma Cannon and it's one of the better weapons there. Saying Mega Man doesn't have the output to kill a Cyberdemon is absurd. His basic weapon should be more than enough.

Mega Man easily kills the Cyberdemon here. They do not need V's firepower whatsoever. Mega Man could take him out with buster only.

Sentry should still be two higher (and Shanna should probably be last)

I think Sonic dies but I think Sonic is 100% unnecessary here. Metal Gear?!? with regen + Mewtwo can't really be stopped by the enemy team. Mewtwo can basically pick enemies off at will while the Ray acts as a dangerous distraction. They just don't have the output to bring the Ray down and Mewtwo is too mobile to be taken down with a giant Metal Gear romping around providing him cover

Haven't seen any Valkyries since swapping decks. To be fair they arent as strong against other ones I have so maybe they're there and just being held. I'll keep you updated.

4 turns? Yeah that's not that great really.

I feel like Alucard just dunks on them when the stuff wears off honestly. Link honestly might too. Really not getting the hype here. Like what's setting them above generic RPG protags here. What does Joshua have that puts him above say Lloyd Irving (who to me is a cut above most RPG characters and Alucard would still whomp him).

Going with the Yeti. Vampires could be really tough depending on the interpretation (many don't have all the traditional weaknesses) as could Zombies (many aren't slow)

Yeti haven't seen anything that would make it much more scary than a Grizzly Bear. Seems like a big gun/explosives and advantageous terrain would win you that one.

Probably because the decks I run don't have colorful interactions with it.

I'm not even saying this is a "I'm getting played into counters" situation as much as its probably happening both ways.

Like Chang was saying he's seeing a lot of Galactus decks when running Prof X. Turns out I do too when I run Prof X. In this case it's the Galactus player being being hosed not us but yeah either way.

Due to the changes to Aero and Taskmaster, Shuri decks aren't hiding Red Skull behind Cosmo as much anymore (they can play around Aero and need to Armor Red Skull so Taskmaster can copy it), so Valkyrie becomes a viable option to counter it again.

Keep in mind I played many other games today with a Cerebro 2 deck (which Valkyrie also counters so if they had it they'd have dropped it) and my old Omega Red deck.

There is definitely something weird with the specific cards you face imo.

Is the duration infinite on the buffs where it's not otherwise specified?

Armor is fairly common but not that common.

I'm more convinced than ever that the game seeds cards that interact with each other.

I've seen Valkyrie 3 times in the last 5 games when I started using this Nimrod/Knull/Destroyer deck I threw together

That is more than I've seen her in the entire life of the game combined.

I feel like Alucard just wins here buffs or no buffs but what buffs are we specifically talking about itemized.

Also does Link have anything relevant here in terms of utility.

Hurt Hood more than Quinjet. May actually replace Hood with Coulson or Maria Hill at this point.

Gambit wasted his Knull but the funny thing is if he hit Galactus he would have lost by 10 power too. Galactus into a Dracula lane bad idea.

Chief and Squall

Really think Squall's utility is being underplayed here. Also think Chief vs Doomslayer on a large terrain is much closer than being given credit for. Tifa is also more likely to be eliminated quicker than Squall due to Chief's superior long range options. (These matches don't neatly pair off into Tifa/Squall and Chief/Doomslayer-- Squall and Tifa likely dont even interact with one another and are trying to survive the heavy hitters here)

A guy who just falls from space like nothing is not jobbing to the splash from BFG (Chief wouldnt be hit directly). To win this Doomslayer has to close before taking too much damage and without Squall hindering him too much/buffing chief too much beforehand.

I don't know 2b and frankly at this point I hardly know Sol. I haven't been up on Guilty Gear lore since XX Slash

Yes imo.

In terms of single target destruction, spartan laser is probably on par or greater than the BFG9000 unamplified. It can one shot any vehicle in the game aside from the human tank (Covenant Tank it will). What it lacks is the AOE of the BFG mostly. But it has greater range.

I'm not sure it can one shot Doom Slayer but it definitely one shots Tifa and can do a huge dent to Doomslayer.

That can't be what he's using otherwise he just fires it and it destroys the battlefield (including himself) in literally any mercs match

I just think if he rushes in he's going to get nailed with triple dispel into debuffs and suddenly Chief is better due to FF buff suite on him (and will remain better because he kills Tifa at long range before she can reapply them)

Keep in mind Squall has triple

He can basically simultaneously buff and debuff and dump a bunch of debuffs at the speed of one. He completely dunks on Tifa in terms of utility here

Tifa is killed at long range and is a non factor.
Squall casts Blind or Slow on Doomslayer

Isn't the match basically over at that point. If splash from blindly firing BFG becomes a problem Chief uses the gravity lift.

Big problem here is that Squall's buffs are way way better than Tifa's and Tifa getting to a range to dispel seems unlikely. Does Tifa even have haste? Like Doomslayer is going to outgun a Master Chief moving, aiming, and reacting, at double speed? Seems unlikely.

I will say Chief is easily tankier than a Doom Cyberdemon who takes like 3-4 BFG shots to take down.

BFG is presumably stronger here but how much. Order of 10s or 100s of times would be necessary to one shot imo

I just know people REALLY like Doom Eternal and it's easy to hype Doom's universe off of "omg hell" so I'm taking this with a grain of salt right now until I've investigated

Like I compare Halo power level to OG Doom (which shares a lot of enemy tropes with eternal so I dont feel it's likely a huge power jump occurred) I would take a large Covenant Force to conquer Doom's version of Hell pretty easily.

The problem with that interp is you have damage scaling baseline of a pistol and infested marines to extrapolate everything in Doom. It's easy to drink the hype that it's literally hell but you have to take it back to a level that space marines with pistols can kill stuff.

I have not played Eternal but based on the old games, and I do believe they I think you're overhyping the power scale of Doom quite a bit.

I don't think Chief jobs to a single BFG shot either lol

Gut feeling is Squall is a lot better than Tifa and Master Chief has more skill and armor but inferior weapons to Doom Slayer

I don't rightly know all of Doom Slayer's hype though

And I agree Lockjaw doesn't need to be changed. Leech should probably just work for 1 turn and get an energy cost drop to 4.

I feel the problem cards were

Shuri (lol no nerf)
Sunspot (lol no nerf)
Aero (nerf should help)
She Hulk (completely fine now I think)
Red Skull (5/12 with the +1 ongoing is probably more in line with other 5s)
Infinity Stones (Quinjet nerf and hit to space stone should hit it well enough)

You either do this and aren't aware or are a bad driver. Both are common.

The event guy gives you a huge damage boost to the monster just by being on your team so when your trial expires your damage tanks.

I quit the game when I saw how much my damage decreased. Just poor game design imo.

Link's build has has 13307 characters not including the battle write-up.

That's as many as two Dracula (TR)s, and that's terrible.
