I think I have it on 3? 1 seemed painfully slow.

At speeds higher than 1 you lose a lot of time to input lag even if your reflexes are great. If you're having trouble with a battle going to 1 speed takes a lot of edge off even if waiting for atb to charge can be a bit slow at times.

Make sure you're playing on speed 1. Main cause I see for players failing on easier content is they've got the speed cranked too high and are giving the baddies extra actions for no reason. Like right now the soul breaks and stuff are so power creeped that new players should be whomping d140s no problem with like 2 relic draws

Wait mode also works but ideally you wanna learn how to play on speed 1 active as wait mode wastes a lot of time for damage optimization

Going with Edward + Sazh + Rikku based on input. I'll keep Gladio in mind for later draws but I think my earth phys and FFXV are too weak right now for it to matter much

So having trouble deciding between Sync and Awakenings

Sync options are down to
Warrior of Light
+ Have his awakening
+ FF1 and Light Phys need help
- They might need too much help for this to move the needle much
- Don't have his Dualcast LMR

Sephiroth
+ Have his awakening, both of them, as well as most of his stuff aside from any source of empowered dark
- Doesn't slot on my Dark teams currently, which doesn't need a lot of help anyway as they beat both 6* magicite. Possibly not wodin viable yet but I'm actually thinking they may be.
- In FF7 team I use him as fire

Rikku
+ Have pretty much all her other stuff
+ Phys water and FFX are two of my stronger teams and she may push them over into the next level of beating dragonkings/wodins
- Not sure? Leaning her anyway

Awakening on the other hand is way more broad. Are there any top tier awakenings out there I may not be thinking of?

My FF2 is stacked. I can probably do dragonking easily if I put a draw or two on this banner. Thing is I need to use Yuna or Mog (I drew his Awakening on the Sync dream select which was nice) as on offrealm but they might be good for it. Mog in particular seems great since it's a magic heavy realm

I guess my only real hesitation with Squall is while I'm sure it would help on Ice and Cerberus a lot, on a fire team I'm not sure he slots with my Sync + Awakening Genesis, Auron (I use Balthier as my chain holder instead of Auron, cause Auron with all his stuff does good damage), and Locke. Like if Wodin doesn't do the fire infusion gimmick that the 6* magicite do then it's worth considering but otherwise I don't really have the infusions on Squall to make that work all that well.

So what I've got considered on the Fat Chocobo Awakening select

Garland - I have Garland's Apex and he's in my FF1 team. He's only borderline worthy for my dark team even with this.
Snow - He's a staple in my FFXIII and ice teams, and I basically have every relic for him but this one. Though between his other awakening and sync I may not meter for this.
Maria - I have her Sync and no awakening, and like Snow have most of her other stuff. She is a core member of my magic earth and FF2 teams, which are both two of my stronger teams and could help me push through the dreambreaker or the earth wodin.
Celes - I have a lot of stuff for her, including her Apex. She's generally my Ice Chain holder, but I have no Awakening or Sync for her, so her damage contribution is somewhat limited. She probably wouldn't fit in a FFVI team even with this though.
Squall - I have him fully dived and with ice sync + fire awakening, so dual awakening + renzokuken would be fun. Also ice awakening + ice sync makes him a bit less awkward to run than fire awakening + ice sync.
Cinque - I have her sync and she's a good one for my earth physical team (not one of my better teams) and type-0 team (not one of my better teams)

Any thoughts? I'm thinking it's between Maria (slots in two teams I'm close to being able to beat the next level at) and Celes (increases her power probably the most of the characters I actually use), but Squall over Celes has some appeal too.

Also I'm pretty amused that it's between Maria and Celes. Little FFVI reference there. Hah.

Managed FFIV dreambreaker so I was able to get the 2 scrolls this time around since I can beat Sin. I know it's said Yuna is questionable to counter full break because she doesn't heal enough and that Zeromus has relatively lower damage output, but Yuna had no problem keeping my party healed as Fusoya was just using Holyja not helping with healing but he did put up some small barriers and give us shell

Easier than Sin despite having less stuff to use. I did need to make Ninjutsu for Edge for help with rage breaking. Only had his Awakening, Limit, and Arcane but he did quite some damage without Sync.

Did T Gilg for 9 of them. Decided to move onto 550 Gilg rather than going for the remaining clears, even though there is some use left.



He wasn't too hard. Just seemed like more damage. Would have done it way earlier if I hadn't just left Auron paralyzed for the last 20s of the fight. I think FFII, FFIV, and FFVII seem doable so I may do two more for 250 more lenses. We'll see.

A bit surprising how easy it was. I actually made Starfall for Emperor as well and I have both awakenings for him so he was unexpectedly the strongest DPS. But Kefka and Jihl both had Syncs too so yeah just a lot damage flying around

Honestly Minwu rank ups are some of my higher priorities so not terrible. Think I'll probably start storing em now though.

Well they don't get any higher "penalty" than the usual. You get 25% potency out of that third layer of empower but I'll take +3.75% elemental damage over +2% HP personally.

Basically 3 layers of Empower has imo always been worth it. Getting a free source just means you run one instead of two.

I'd probably just cut Empowers from 2 to 1 and Dampens from 1 to 0 if I did that. Still think Empower x3 is good. More damage is a good thing to have. I wouldn't wanna stack 4 HP Boons per deck too many diminishing returns there

So maybe HP + Single Empower for each Magicite I'm thinking with that in mind. Darn. Wish I'd known Wodin worked like that going in. Oh well.

To be clear my actual setup is (and there is probably a reason this isn't exactly optimal with Wodins but it let me get the configuration I wanted on the 6* decks-- one of each ward, 2 hps, and both def boons, with 2 madeens giving me offensive stats and the 5* elemental giving me the wards/empowers)

Ramuh HP + BWard
Leviathan HP + SWard
Ifrit Def Boon + Res Boon
Titan HP + SWard
Valefor HP + Def Boon
Shiva HP + SWard

Diabolos HP + SWard
Alexander HP + BWard

But in terms of keeping things simple you can always use empowers to start then change them over to something more optimized over time. Empowers are easy to get since you can get empower 15 on a 4* magicite (and they give you a bunch of fully loaded 4* magicites to boot if you didn't already use em and had them vaulted like me) and in terms of optimization it doesn't change a ton

Eh if he's gonna Mega Man it then he'd definitely want more HP on Titan for Ramuh since he hits hard and has that radiant shield~ish counter, and he's not that bulky for a 6* magicite so the extra damage isn't as much as a priority.

Though Ramuh has been powercreeped since he came out before record boards so having more HP makes his a lot more manageable.

I'm not saying forego HP boons. You Def want at least 2x. I put them on Madeens to start

Speaking of first clears



Feels kinda bad not using Seph but I don't have any Empower stacking on him and Dark Cecil Sync C2 was fine for avoiding the instakill in phase 3.

Setzer Awakening was good for countering the stupid aegis def buff and I had both Shadow and Dark Cecil with syncs which was plenty of damage output for an easy sub 30.

Now I've done all the 6* yay! Actually kinda looking forward to tackling the other versions of them for lenses. Though I should probably go for a Wodin first

Oh yeah for min max you definitely wouldn't I'm just saying if you want to braindead it it's an easy starter inherit. Not like it's hard to get more Empower 15s you can just overwrite them later

I have a complex setup for my 6* magicites

Basically try to get BWard + SWard + 2x HP Boon + Def/Res Boon in every deck as well as offensive stuff, but because the defensive ones don't matter per party composition I basically alternate BWard/SWard and Def/Res Boon along with 1x HP each (playing around the forced wards and boons from the sub magicites so I don't double any of them, since they are needed for the empowers since I don't put em on my 6*s)

But the keep it simple stupid way to do it that's almost as good is just to put your empowerx2 on the 6*

I'm awfully tempted to do the Tidus banner just because it has a lot of stuff I like

A lot of death dupes too though. Is there any sort of resource where you can search when relics return? Like I really like that Tidus Sync 2 and I like some of the support items, but there are some dead items like Yuna Awakening 2 (mine is rank 15) and like 6 of the items in total just do nothing for me which seems really high.

Like you can like or dislike a wrestler all you want for any reason you want but sometimes you're reaching so far out of bounds that you pretty much are objectively wrong and need to have a little humility about it and maybe realize you know maybe there's something you're not seeing and it isn't always because the other person likes this wrestler is a simp or whatever random word you picked up off b8 that day you know? (Or that you're an Eva Marie simp look anyone can do it so fun)

There are some things you can objectively measure just like most subjective mediums

Like I hate Shadow of the Colossus and lots of people love it and I don't get it

Hell I like Hydlide for the NES more than the game

But if I said you know Shadow of the Colossus it's just a worse game than Hydlide I'm just wrong and that's okay because I wouldn't enter a topic and tell some Shadow of the Colossus fan that hey Hydlide is better and then when someone says "what you're crazy" leave my retort at "nah man Hydlide is better cause there's less pointless wandering and who cares if the colossi look epic they're just passable man"

Like I've seen whole divisions that are probably worse at certain points in time. The character is bad as a heel because she does babyface stuff-- so was Alberto Del Rio and I doubt you'll find many people saying he was bad. Overrated sure but not bad

(Editor's note obviously ADR is Leagues better than her in the ring)

I mean I'm just saying to say she's Eva Marie level is a joke. She's probably not even worse than half of the AEW women's division. I'd argue she's not even worse than Riho by any appreciable amount. Note this is not high praise as the AEW women's division has a lot of mediocrity in it and only based on one match so it's entirely possible she could in fact be worse than it appears, but yeah.

If you're in the iceman boat saying "she's not great, and may not ever be great because she's had a lot of time to get good and hasn't" that's a completely reasonable viewpoint. But I'll take charismatic wrestlers with passion that can at least probably be carried to fill roster slots all day as long as you have some Shiidas and Statlanders around to be in your headline positions. I'm not saying put her in main events but she might get better and isn't bad as is.

But when you frame things as you've done it really feels like "well this person has a following on the internet I don't feel she deserves so now I'm going to grossly exaggerate things she's bad at" in a great attempt to be cosmic wrestler fandom balance arbiter more than an earnest attempt to actually say how good or bad she is. It's just being a little silly.

I watched it as well.

Not sure why we hate on Itoh here. It was completely serviceable as a match and Itoh seemed completely fine and imo better than Riho in the match (but I've never thought Riho was very good). I feel like this is "I don't like the gimmick now I'm going to pick apart everything the wrestler does rather than give an honest critique" rather than being genuine. Blame frequenting the politics topic for that.

The gimmick is silly and I'm not sure how on earth it's supposed to be a heel gimmick but it's fun. The only particularly bad thing was one of Itoh's punch volleys-- wanna say it was in the corner but in general it wasn't really a problem.

But yeah even if we're just talking the striking it was fine. The submissions were dare I say good (the lion tamer late and the rolling half crab were good). The million dollar headbutt thing was funny.

Also Itoh is 2 inches taller and I'd estimate a good 15-20 lbs heavier than Riho so not sure why Biscuit is claiming she's smaller? She's not. And that's a good thing.

She's not on par with the better women on the roster or anything and the match wasn't amazing but it was serviceable-- she's got enough charisma that I'd absolutely want to try to get her to be better.

I can't imagine strikes from anyone who is smaller than Riho being anything resembling fine.

Just because you can throw a strike that doesn't look clumsy doesn't mean you should-- at some point the stature gets puny enough that they're literally impossible to believe as credible offense. It's exactly why AJ Lee was a wretched wrestler rather than a passable one.

But again, can't actually pass judgment haven't watched yet. Just morbidly interested now.

Like you wouldn't put Lamar Jackson in that offense because the WWE Performance center literally doesn't run any plays that aren't short 4-5 yard passes.

No long bombs from the QB. No rushing plays whatsoever, from the QB or otherwise.

Just move those chains in the way that is safest and least likely to injure anyone or cause a turnover.
