Becky Lynch vs Alexa Bliss
Becky continues tapping people out. Ronda Rousey comes out to "show her how it's done" but Becky stops her from breaking more arms after Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville were crippled. Alexa whines to MVP about unsafe working environment and gets Ronda suspended. Becky wants to fight Ronda but Ronda was suspended for a month. Becky gets a title shot against Alexa for winning lots. Alexa now wants Ronda unsuspended.

The Usos vs Finn Balor + Seth Rollins
Usos continue to point out Finn having shady (near) wins, saying they're just here to reveal the truth about Finn, Uce. Seth Rollins comes to Smackdown from Raw to get his "dignity" from and flips out when Daniels won't give it to him. Daniels says there may be something he can do, and takes him aside. Usos mock Seth Rollins for giving a damn about having his dignity. Rollins and Balor have something in common here in their distaste of The Usos and agree to temporarily bury the hatchet to take em out.

King of the Ring:
There is drama on both shows about which show "owns" the KotR. They eventually decide to play nice and narrow down their fields of 8 down to 4, to make Four Raw and Four Smackdown, with the winner getting a title shot at their respective show's champion at the next PPV.

Preshow:
Big Cass vs Rhyno Career vs Career
They're both on losing streaks. MVP makes them battle each other for their careers. Very important pre-show match.

Misc Stuff that doesn't have a match on the card

Daniels encourages dicking over AJ Styles and basically gives Joe the title entirely for doing that, but is generally a 'good guy' GM otherwise.
Chavo Guerrero tries to organize a petition to make himself the Smackdown GM due to Christopher Daniels's incompetence in not giving him title matches like EC3's Aunt D would like. This makes him end up fighting dudes in filler matches more than getting signatures.
Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott have TRAINING MONTAGES for most of the month, with Ruby Riott being VERY INTENSE about training. They lose to Charlotte + Naomi in their debut as a team though, and resume MONTAGES.
Cedric Alexander continues to have matches with non cruiserweights, and despite starting strong starts to lose.
Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy have not reappeared since the lake of reincarnation thing. They've been mentioned a few times.
The Raw Tag Division is still complaining about no Raw belt.

Robbie E sustained an Upper Lumbar Spinal Cord Compression in a filler match with Kallisto, he's injured for 9 months. (dammit)
Lana has become pregnant with Rusev baby and will have maternity leave soon.

This is kinda weird. I dunno if this formula is going to work as booking all those shows was a bit of a slog, but I really want to catch up as this thing loses a lot of appeal to me being so far behind, so I'm going to try to just roll with this for a bit. Here are the builds to the KotR matches I'm heavily abridging.

Roman Reigns vs Asuka
Roman Reigns continues to press his case about how he never lost to Samoa Joe over and over. MVP gives him a title shot under PRESSURE from the ~investors~. Roman Reigns then complains about how he got a title shot without earning one. Asuka keeps wanting to fight Roman but he keeps wanting to put the match off till the PPV.

AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe
Styles continues to get attacked by Building Momentum (Prince IKEA and Bill Dingh aka The Revival), though he's very clearly superior to either one individually. Samoa Joe eventually helps AJ fend them off at the same time by being his tag partner, then chokes out AJ after the match. They basically just build off the TNA relation from there combined with Daniels being the GM, without saying TNA of course.

Braun Strowman vs EVERYONE (Zayn + Owens + Almas + Cesaro + ECIII + Elias + Gallows + Anderson + Rowan + Chavo + Fandango + Konnor + Viktor + Tyler Breeze + R-Truth + Sin Cara + Kendrick + Tye Dillinger + Itami + Primo + Epico + Mojo + Gran Metalik)
Strowman picks fights with random people over the course of the month who interfered in his match earlier. There is constantly interference from Zayn/Owens/Almas/Cesaro/Sheamus/Elias during matches with others from this group. Strowman resolves this by challenging EVERYONE to a Strowman invitational. Falls count anywhere, all challengers may arrive. Daniels eventually fleshes this idea out, cause Strowman didn't, by making it a 15 minute free for all, with the first one to get a pinfall on Strowman in that 15 minutes being the new IC Champ, otherwise Strowman retains. This draws everyone who has been attacking him to accept, along with a bunch of randoms who don't have anything better to do.

Kairi Sane vs Nia Jax vs Bayley
There is a woman's royal rumble to determine the number one contendership to Kairi Sane's Andre The Memorial Battle Royal, as there are no actual women's titles to fight for on Smackdown. It concludes with Nia Jax appearing to win, but no bell being rung. She's eliminated by sore losers Charlotte + The IIconics. Bayley then comes out to an empty ring, having drawn the last number, and is declared the winner to face Kairi at KotR. Nia Jax is later added to the match having a legit beef.

Charlotte + Naomi vs IIconics
Women try to form teams to go for the IIconics women's tag titles they've claimed ownership of, because the SD women's division is that desperate for things to fight for. No one on the Smackdown women's roster can really cooperate well, but Charlotte + Naomi come the closest, so get the match.

The Miz + The Miztourage vs The New Day for Miz TV
The Miz defeats Big E, Kofi, and Xavier individually over the course of the month to retain Miz TV. The Miztourage then challenge The New Day to a 3v3 for Miz TV at King of the Ring to get them to stop bugging Miz. Miz does not seem pleased with this but MVP, seeing Miz's distaste for this, makes it a match.

Jinder Mahal vs Rusev
Rusev and Randy Orton continue to interfere in the others shows. Daniels says Rusev must actually fight on Smackdown every once in a while, and defend the US Title against Jinder Mahal.

Yeah I would be highly against pegging anyone that's younger than the guys who were big in the 80s like your Hogans and Flairs and Andres in their 40s because it wouldn't really preserve relative ages as well as I'd like. Like if you had Bully Ray as 7 years older than a guy like Bret Hart it would irk me. Bret being 3 years older when he should be like 13 I don't find as silly.

Keep in mind I at least statted guys taking ages into account to some extent since the mechanics of the game are such that you get stat increases until sometime in the last 20s early 30s, and start decreasing at most stats in the 40s, so I was a bit more generous with the older types too.

Well it depends on what era you're doing, what age you're aiming for. I'm not sure I specifically used the table for the TNA guys but may have just eyeballed "okay this guy was one of the 'new up and comers' in TNA" and "this guy was a grizzled veteran in TNA" and "AJ Styles should be younger than Bully Ray" and etc.

Like I don't think Bully Ray should be 41 if that's what you're asking. If you're asking if my heart is set on 32 or whatever I had him at? Not really. You should probably try and put ages of wrestlers at some internally consistent scaling that makes something resembling sense across feds but doesn't have anyone but your 70s and 80s guys in the late 30s early 40s range, I'd say. If you want to tweak some ages for them to pass the eyeball test vs your WWF dudes or whatever have at it.

Dolph Ziggler vs Seth Rollins. The two have a high octane match as Roman Reigns eventually tries to hit the ring. He's bounced away by lumberjacks, Lashley in particular. Rollins capitalizes on all the chaos outside to roll-up Ziggler and grab the tights to win. Rollins qualifies! (79) The failed Roman is briefly beaten down by Lashley to close the show (69)

WWE Raw Week 3 May 2018

MVP is out to start the show, announces 4 more KotR qualifiers for tonight-- Cedric vs Chad Gable, Kofi vs Shelton Benjamin, Big E vs Robbie E, and Dolph Ziggler vs Seth Rollins. Smackdown GM Christopher Daniels shows up, says he's already filled out the bracket and this is unnecessary. They argue a bit about whether he could do this, and the two agree to have 4 Raw and 4 Smackdown in the KotR by PPV time, but MVP's still having his qualifiers. Seth Rollins randomly shows up, says he saw that Daniels had received Rollins's dignity from Finn Balor, and demands that Christopher Daniels gives him his dignity! Daniels is like "what" and they both mock him a bit. (81)

Becky Lynch d. Mandy Rose easily via submission (58) Becky is cutting a promo about how Ronda Rousey is dodging her. Ronda hits the ring, breaks Mandy's arm as Becky looks on in shock and Ronda shouts about how that's how it's done. (57)

The Edge Heads (better name pending) (actually what they're billed as) d. The Miztourage (53)

After the break, The Edge Heads, Miztourage, and Slater + Rhyno are in MVP's office demanding tag titles to fight for. Drew McIntyre comes in and says this tag division is PATHETIC and doesn't deserve a title. Hawkins and Ryder step up, and are laid out by Drew immediately. Slater also steps up, says it's time he knows his place-- Slater was always the leader of the band, babay!!! Challenges him to a match (59) Slater fights hard, but Drew kinda wrecks his former 3MB counterpart. (59) Drew keeps beating down Slater, who won't stay down, staring down Rhyno, who does not attempt to assist, as he does so. (72)

Asuka is in the ring, ready for a match. Roman Reigns comes out, challenges her to a Universal Title match, right here, right now! Asuka's down for this. But Mark Henry's music hits, and says he has an official message as the Commissioner: "No." He tells Roman to get the hell out of there or else. Akam and Rezar show up, and stare a hole through Reigns to get him to leave (74)

Asuka vs Ember Moon for the Smackdown Women's title. Ember again does very well. She does a flippidoo and misses terribly, causing Asuka to take control. Sasha banks comes out during the match, cutting a promo about how the women of WWE today are too concerned about 'stealing the show' and those risky maneuvers will always cause such failures. The true way to excel is healthy living, etc etc. Asuka is able to ignore her, Ember is not. Ember never gets back on track and Asuka beats her again, tapping her with the Asuka lock to retain. (63) Sasha continues her tirade about clean living, insisting that if Ember had eaten right properly prepared, she would never have tapped to such a weak submission. Angry Ember runs her off when she recovers (50)

Kofi Kingston vs Shelton Benjamin, KotR qualifier. A standard match, Roman Reigns hits the ring and wrecks both guys, causing the match to be thrown out. No one qualifies! (66)

We visit the Hardy Compound. Matt Hardy is escorting his brother Nero, who is still limping, to the lake of reincarnation. He goes on some Hardy monologue... finishing that Brother Nero will soon be WOKEN... aahhh yesss~ Jeff is thrown into the lake, and sinks(?) The announcers remark that Bray Wyatt still hasn't come out of there... (81)

Finn Balor vs Harper. Usos come out during the match to do commentary to scout tag competition in Harper. Balor tries for the 1916 on Harper, but he's kinda too big, goes for the reverse DDT instead. Pins, 1, 2... foot on the ropes, ref doesn't see it and counts the 3. Usos are like 'hell naw' and shout wildly at the ref to look at the rope. Ref looks, Balor argues with the ref, yells at the Usos, Harper hits a massive clothesline when he turns around. 1. 2. 3. Harper wins to qualify for the KotR. (59)

Styles is being escorted from the arena by medical staff. He's arguing, saying he can fight and he was hardly hurt. Christopher Daniels says he MUST be careful, and he's going to have to give AJ's spot to someone else... after... that savage beatings at the hands of... Bill Dingh and Prince... Ikea... He stifles a laugh. He wrings his hands and shrugs disingenuously as AJ is escorted from the arena (63) Viktor appears as Styles is leaving the frame, says Carrie deserves that shot in the KotR. Daniels says he doesn't really want to encourage intergender matches, Viktor asks if he's some sorta chauvinist pig or somethin bro. Daniels denies this, and lets her in. Kairi shows up a bit later... talks to Daniels in Japanese about a match. Daniels says something back, Baron Corbin is clearly audible. Kairi is like "NANI?!" (52)

Baron Corbin vs Kairi Sane. Baron Corbin tells Kairi to lay down to make this easy. Kairi fakes it, nails him with a backhand, goes for the flash pinfall. Corbin barely kicks out, but is on the defensive for the opening flurry. Corbin eventually gets his bearings back and hits the End of Days after a thumb to the eye, squeaking out a win to many boos. (57)

Owens and Zayn show up, yell at Christopher Daniels for not rewarding them for staying off Raw. Maybe they'll go help Rusev break in next time. Maybe they'll disrupt all of 'the fallen angel's' plans. Daniels doesn't care if they go to Raw or what, and puts them in the match with The Club. (95) Owens & Zayn d. The Club (75)

WHO WANTS TO WALK WITH ELIAS!?! Elias does his thing for a bit. Is interrupted by BRAUGHHHHHH! Braun runs him off as he has a match next. (75)

Sheamus vs Braun Strowman. Sheamus vaguely holds his own a bit but Strowman is Strowman. At some point the ref gets knocked out. Cesaro hits the ring, Strowman fends him off. Disgruntled Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn hit the ring. Strowman fends THEM off. A debuting Andrade "Cien" Almas hits the ring in the chaos, hits a flying kick on Braun followed by La Sombra, but also attacks Cesaro, Strowman, Owens, and Zayn. Braun is staggered. The ref is recovering. Sheamus hits him with a Brogue Kick and gets the 3 count, with Strowman kicking out just after 3. (65)

The 4, sans Andrade, continue to attack Braun, while Andrade tries to help Braun (despite just attacking him!?). Braun ROARSSSSS. They scatter. They may have hell to pay for Braun next week. (76)

I accidentally put Viktor instead of Vince Russo in that Kairi Sane segment. Decided to not fudge the writing and just roll with it. A plot development, perhaps?
Random as hell Andrade debut + turn that would get a confusing reaction at best gets good turn + gimmick rating. Okay then. I'm going to try to follow it up with something that makes sense though.

Smackdown Week 2 May 2018

We start the show with GM Christopher Daniels in the ring. He says he LOVES the idea of a King of the Ring. It's a great TOURNAMENT to show who the greatest WRESTLER is, despite it not being for a BELT. Smackdown's going to have one too. He announces AJ Styles and Braun Strowman will both have qualifying matches tonight. Strowman vs Sheamus, and Styles vs Baron Corbin. EC3 marches to the ring, demands a spot. He says this can't be the house AJ Styles built... this house... could only have been built by... A GREAT ARCHITECT LIKE HIMSELF, BILL DINGH. TONIGHT, HE WILL LAY THE FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS, WITH A FALLEN AJ STYLES SERVING AS THE BASE. While he's talking Dash Wilder hits the ring, wearing a tooth necklace and shorts that say PRINCE on one leg, IKEA on the other, brutally attacking AJ Styles from behind. Dingh continues, introducing him as the man who designs the furnishings to his great structures, PRINCE IKEA. The two attack Styles in a 2 on 1 as Disco Inferno cheers them on, Styles eventually fights them off but appears injured. (73)

Bayley v Charlotte v Mickie v Nia. Bayley is taken out early by Nia and sits most of the match. A massive collision occurs where Nia trucks over Mickie and Charlotte, but spills out of the ring. Bayley recovers at that moment and Bailey to Bellys Mickie for an easy win, that being about her only offense. (68) Charlotte starts to rip into Nia and Mickie for losing the women's title to Alexa, and goes on a rant about how Smackdown has no women's title. The debuting IIconics show up. They mock Smackdown's women's division for being so pathetic and not having any titles :( :( :(. They then reveal their own belts, say they were given these belts by women with class and talent, Leilani Kai and Judy Martin. They mock the women in the ring and call them uncultured swine for not knowing their history. Nia, bored, lays out Charlotte, IIconics mock them as barbarians and walk off (61)

Chavo Guerrero Jr d. "Jose" (47) Liv Morgan, still with her women's battle royal championship cup, suggests that with Sarah Logan sent off to Raw and no maybe they should just disband the Riott Squad. Ruby calls her an idiot and says those tag titles are the only thing of worth for women to obtain. Liv says she could defend her title cup but is cut off by Ruby who says they must begin training! (52)

Samoa Joe and Finn Balor show up to Daniels's office. They gloat about their respective wins at Backlash. Joe points out that Balor's was a fluke and Seth's foot was on the rope. Balor denies it, and points out that maybe Roman didn't quit. Daniels is bored, says he'll let Balor in for Seth Rollins's dignity, since Balor took it from him. Balor thinks a bit, writes "Seth Rollins's Dignity" on a slip of paper and hands it to Daniels. Daniels says he's in. Samoa Joe is LIVID. (92)

Miz rips into how MVP had a joke of a draft, how Raw no longer has tag titles, how the show has been total chaos lately, how Miz deserves a spot in the King of the Ring and a better IC Title shot. MVP gets sick of it, says The VIP Lounge was better, and starting next week, because Raw lost so many titles, Miz is going to have to defend Miz TV as though it was a title, and only the person who has the title can host a talk show from now on. Miz is furious! (100)

Dolph Ziggler d. Cedric Alexander (69) Ziggler grabs the mic, is about to say something, drops it, gives Alexander a stomp for good measure. (74)

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Randy Orton in a KotR Qualifier. Good match. Orton looks to have the upper hand, then a ref bump, and RUSEV JUMPS THE GUARD RAIL. HE'S FROM SMACKDOWN. HE MAULS ORTON. Orton gets his bearings enough to hit a low blow on Rusev to send him spilling out of the ring, just before the ref recovers. Bad timing, as Kinshasa! Nakamura gets the pinfall. (82) Rusev, still crazed and now recovered, hits the ring again, Orton bails and is run off. (85)

Carmella is pissed that Cass screwed up last night. Cass complains about his quad. Carmella says he'd better not lose this one. (65) Heath Slater vs Big Cass in a King of the Ring Qualifier. This is initially presented as a lay-up for Cass. Slater completely squashes him, though. Cass is never in the match. Carmella leaves before the match even finishes (51)

Asuka is out to defend her Smackdown Women's Title. She faces a masked luchadore woman in a fully bodysuit. The luchadore woman seems to have the advantage-- is this because Asuka is tired from her earlier match... or...? The luchadore has Asuka staggered, goes to the top rope... she unmasks... it's Ember Moon. Their eyes meet, she flashes a grin at Asuka, goes for the eclipse! Asuka, seemingly gaining a surge of energy, rolls through the move and almost instantly locks her into the Asuka lock. Ember taps (55) Asuka helps Ember up, gives Ember a "this close!" gesture and pats her on the back. Ember is practically SEETHING. (61)

Lashley vs Roman Reigns. Lashley has a strong advantage much of the match. Roman starts to do his comeback with superman punches. Lashley just blows through him with a spear. (66) Lashley celebrates, taking it all in like a cocky heel, but gets cheered anyway because he beat Roman Reigns (71)

Show Rating - 80. Popularity increased in 20 regions. (Probably would've been much higher if I placed the card better, oh well!)

Asuka starts the show, coming out with the Undisputed and the Smackdown Women's Title across both her shoulders. She grabs the mic, but before she can say anything, Roman Reigns's music hits, and he starts to complain about how he never said he quit vs Samoa Joe, etc etc, and how he wants a title shot tonight, never addressing Asuka directly. He continues to ramble a bit, as Asuka cuts him off, yelling "bring it, big dog!" and lays the championship down flat in the middle of the ring. Raw GM MVP interrupts before this can escalate, saying he thinks Roman did quit, and he's not allowing a title shot to take place tonight. Asuka will need to defend both her titles tonight, neither against Roman-- he's going to give Asuka some tune ups title defenses to prepare for needing to defend both each week. However, Roman may have a shot at a shot, as he is free to enter this year's King of the Ring... if he can win his qualifying match in our main event... against-- a debuting BOBBY LASHLEY slides under the ropes, blindsides Roman, obliterating him with a spear-- MVP finishes... this man, Bobby Lashley. (81)

Asuka faces her first title defense of the night, as we open with a Universal Title match. Her opponent is the most deadly of foes, Robbie E. Robbie is never really in the match-- despite his size advantage Asuka constantly leverages him into submission holds and counters, and eventually taps him with the Asuka Lock to retain (66)

A qualifying match for this year's King of the Ring is about to begin. Bobby Roode's entrance hits-- he's attacked from behind by a debuting Drew McIntyre. He's brutally assaulted before the match (78) Roode waves off the ref asking if he can compete. Drew carries this momentum to a decisive win to qualify for the King of the Ring (60) Drew cuts a promo about how he hates these "WWE Superstars" with their shiny entrances, glitz, all style, no substance. He's going to beat them all down and take command of the WWE by force (63)

Zack Ryder is backstage. Curt Hawkins comes up to him... says that while Braun Strowman may have left to Smackdown, he doesn't want to leave the tag team title hunt just yet. Zack Ryder, looks him in the eye, completing Hawkins's thought, and says "reunite the greatest team of all time?" They both shout "yeah, GO EDGE HEADS!!" and walk off discussing whether that team name actually makes sense. (57)

The Hardyz vs Benjamin and Gable. Jeff Hardy's enthusiasm has now completely expired, and despite Matt Hardy's cheering him on with much WONDERFUL! and DELIGHTFUL! Jeff can't get into this and Gable + Benjamin pull an upset win. (75) Matt helps Brother Nero to the back, shouting that Brother Nero's CONDEESHON has become TERMINAL. They must head to the LAKE OF REINCARNATION immediately. (84)

The newly reunited Edge Heads are in the ring. They explain that while they have not decided on a better name yet, they want a win, TONIGHT. They call out anyone. The Miztourage answer the call, saying they ALSO want a win, TONIGHT. (51) The Edge Heads seemingly capture their previous chemistry beat The Miztourage soundly (53)

After the break, we have a sight of Gable & Benjamin, The Edgeheads, The Miztourage, all at MVP's office, shouting about how there are no longer any tag titles to fight for on this show so what's the damn point! MVP tries to get them to calm down, they won't. Mark Henry instructs the Authors of Pain, who have been watching the whole time, to induct some new members into the hall of pain. Akam and Rezar lay waste to the Miztourage and the Edgeheads. Gable & Benjamin get the hell out of there (67)

Okay no excuse this time. I did put some time into the game but I didn't book anything. Mostly wanted to fix gimmicks + do some NXT callups that I'd been meaning to. I kinda hate WWE's roster it's so unwieldy. I can almost feel for the worst writing team in wrestling. Almost.

Thanks for the support. I'm fine now though. I mean, as fine as I can be. Still sad but you know, able to post TEW shows. I've had other cats die before and it always sucks but he was by far the closest I've ever been to a cat. At least I spent the last times with him like... just hugging him the whole afternoon. I think he knew, somehow, even though I thought he still had a good amount of time left since while he was quite old and it showed to an extent he didn't have any obvious ailment-- like he was always an affectionate cat but yeah I dunno, it was still kinda weird reflecting on it. Anyway yeah. Don't wanna dwell a ton cause it just makes you sad, but I did take it pretty hard, especially for me.

Maybe I'll post a picture or two of him later after the show. Not sure I have any that are easy to find and in good resolution/focus but we'll see.
