I did the awakening pull and got 2/11 Gabranth Chain Meia Ultra. Gabranth Chain would be nice if I didn't already have Seifer's

I may do the Glint one and get Aeris Awakening + 6* Glint + some other Glint. Hoping that FFVII event shows up before these selects rotate out.

Yeah. I think right now I could probably do II, IV, VI, VII, VIII, Type0. Any of the rest I'd be surprised though most of them are probably one awakening away from being doable (no rush for rewards so not going to off realm any)

Related to what you're saying is there any reason to do both versions of the 6* magicite boss? Is it just for completion/challenge sake or do they have their own rewards?

Got through the FF3 D450 with a L80 historia crystal and a few picks from the anima shop (Refia's Dualcast LMR and Onion's Physical Hastega) with the team of Luneth Refia Desch Aria Onion

Not bad. Should get most of the investment in the historia crystal back from the quests. 5 450 Torments down now at sub 30 (III, V, X, XIII, T). Could probably get some more but I'm just gonna wait till the quests roll out.

Course some decks will give some of those slots for free so maybe can fit a Def/Res Boon in there somewhere. By the time I feel like farming those I may have a bit better team to kill that guy though

Very difficult actually. Edge Awakened Ninja magic is once again OP here and I'm pretty sure he did more damage than Alphinaud (in Alph's defense I don't have a ton of resources in him, though I do have his sync awakening and glint+ so should I really need to??). (I had Cecil for Sentinel Grimoire since I needed the RW Chain)

Luckily there's no point in farming him so one kill is enough. Onto the last one, Hecaton

Getting right through these. Kinda weird party that can be optimized I'm sure but no real risk of losing. I use Garnet's (middle slot) Lightning Chain to use Alphinaud + Tritoch with starting Soul Break on both to savage break relatively quickly, with my only healing being fabula healer (honestly using a real healer and the RW ice chain might be better but eh). Then transition into Celes's phys ice chain once she builds meter for it. It works despite only two damage units because two awakenings is overpowered for 5* magicite.

I'm just saying like using the guy who has the power creep item (Orlandu cause he is one of the only awakening users and you drew it) is kinda the opposite of what I was getting at. That's less evidence of a lot of viable options and more power creep gonna power creep

Ability double was strong but it's not like "crush things solo because you break damage cap and no one else can" strong. There were a lot of on par options with that.

But yeah the point is you can do a lot of things depending on what you draw if you just consider other options than the standard stuff. You don't have to have the absolute strongest option every time

Well it should be noted I used him as a mage with only his USB1, no awakening.

I think "having overpowered relics for a guy and using him for everything" isn't really thinking outside the box per se but yeah.

If you want dumb stuff that works radiant shield strategies are probably your go to. Which I did do that for Phoenix with a bunch of healers and NE radiant shield for my first clears.

Well to some extent I agree with you. There is some level of power creep inherent in the game, but that being said you can actually get really far just by using non-rng based resources due to the mythril selection draws and the anima lenses.

And on the other hand you literally just cited "perfect inputs" (which is a skill you can train) and I've beaten a lot of stuff I "shouldn't" with my current resources by thinking outside the box in terms of strategies and team compositions. I literally used Dark Knight Cecil as a mage dps to beat Madeen because he was the best suited for the task given the relics I'd drawn as probably the most dumb example off the top of my head of what weird things I've made work in this game.

Well to be clear Agrias doesn't have a Sync but she's pretty good with both of her ultras as an imperil monkey. But yeah triple syncs should make Dark Odin pretty cake I figure, even if I only have Warrior of Light Chain.

Both darks, both earths, wind magic, ice magic, holy physical

Some of these are going to be trivial. The earths I should handle with Alph and Bartz syncs. Dark magic should be easy with Minwu, PCecil, and Rem syncs. Dark Physical I have Paladin Cecil and Agrias.

The others three will be a bit trickier. My dark Cecil is super stacked and I have Seifer chain so I can probably manage the holy phys but the other two may be tricky. Gonna rely on a stacked Rydia with her Awakening to do a lot of work I think.

Just realized I also have Rem's Sync which Syncs off holy abilities rather than white magic like Minwu's Sync

Used that. Curada syncs, Protectga does not sync. So Holy Awakening would have to work the same way. Would be really weird otherwise.

Why does this matter? Cause I think I want to run a FFIV realm team that doesn't use Rosa or Porom and you kinda need those two awakenings to work with Curada for it to be viable.

No it definitely is that way it's just that healing abilities are specifically holy typed (since you can manually target enemy undead with them) so I figured they'd count

But I wanted to be sure-- Fusoya in particular seems weird cause awoken holy gives him like 3 abilities he can use with it otherwise lol.

So while I was waiting for that I found that I actually have Beatrix's Rose Finale Ultra which chases Holy abilities with Stock Raid and it chases Curada so I'm thinking that you're probably wrong?

Unless it's different with awakenings? Does anyone have either of those awakenings (or any other holy awakening) to test? I'm considering getting Fusoya's Realm Chain if his awakening functions with Curada but yeah I don't know. I guess maybe I can find a Roaming Warrior to be sure. Surely there's a Fusoya fan out there.

Do Holy abilities include Curada or not? I'm sure there are some other examples of awoken holy too that can be used to test this but yeah I don't have any.

Yeah I'm never going to use a margin account. Like for me the stock market can never be a source of expense because I only put what I can afford to put in there.

I try to be aggressive with "what I can afford" to effectively get some margin in a sense but it's too scary to be swinging around thousands of dollars and suddenly being charged interest on effectively nothing if I pick wrong. Selling in the red sucks but at least you see the loss and can deal with it.
