| Lopen 02/20/18 5:48:39 PM #19 | It is definitely a lot more annoying in Miramar-- that's mostly because there aren't that many locations that have any drop appeal that aren't "everyone drops here." Erangel has a lot of places that are reasonably popular but not school level popular-- it does suck when you're the only one that drops there, which does happen somewhat often, but yeah. Ideally the super popular places would be a bit less of a scramble is all I'm saying so you could reliably get fights if you really wanted em without degenerate play being such a big part of it. There are ways to make it less of one but even landing at weird places in the hot drops there is more of that going on than I'd like on those drops. --- No problem! If you're isolated you're often not finding action until like the top 30. If you're in a hot drop the game is too often decided entirely by who gets a gun first. The ideal is somewhere in the middle but you can't reliably get that. Not really sure how to fix it but I do think "scrambling for a gun" being a big part of the meaningful gameplay on the hot drops isn't optimal and melee being a bit better would fix that, at the very least. --- No problem! The threat of it working multiple times is a big deal but it's on a squishy creature so it probably isn't getting that many attacks off. Probably too oppressive to be a 4 though you're right. I think reining in the drawback in some way would probably be best. Or maybe making it just a hair beefier. I don't know. Really tough one to balance. As for the fight wording I think you could've done it with an ability word that basically made a spell do the effect of the spell Radiate (I don't think this exists? I know there's Overload and Radiance but this wouldn't be quite the same thing) but there's no clean way to do it otherwise since otherwise you're like, bisecting the fight effect with checks which they don't like doing-- notice all the "fight" cards only fight one time. I guess you could also just hard code the wording of Radiate into the card too? You'd probably want it at Rare too-- kinda complicated card for UC imo. --- No problem! Vampiric Possession might be a little overloaded with effects-- maybe too much value when played optimally imo. Think Mill Kill's idea is awesome but it might be too good for 4 since it's basically a board wipe for the opponent only at 4 if they're running a creature theme and you've killed any of them. I like the rest pretty well-- will be interested to see if I think your set is better than the ones chosen and how many of them (we'll get to see all the creations of the top 8 right?) --- No problem! | Lopen 02/20/18 1:42:21 PM #12 | Ignoring the obvious buggy things It's kinda imbalanced gameplay. If you're in a super heavy drop zone it's frantic scrambling for a gun. If you're in a super light drop zone there's very little to do early. I think melee mechanics being a bit more snug would help a lot with the scrambling issue since there'd actually be a bit more of a risk of getting punched dead if you just run for a gun and ignore everyone. Also the melee weapons are garbage because of the melee mechanics being garbage. I'd like to see those improved at minimum even if punching continues to suck. So yeah make meleeing better is probably #1 improvement for me. --- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love! |

| Lopen 02/19/18 12:05:04 AM #77 | Yeah I mean I guess, but I'm weak on both Holy and FFT realm now so I'm still not convinced it was a terrible banner to draw on all things considered. For a different person sure but it had a decent lineup for me, a guy who hasn't been chasing the Ramza and Orlandu relics, and waiting 5 months to draw on the later Agrias banner isn't necessarily ideal considering I'll probably reach the point where I want to battle the Shadow Dragon before then. That being said if I hadn't lucked out and actually got the relics I wanted I'd be singing a different tune but that's true of every banner. Overall I think it was worth the 150 Mythril particularly considering if you look at the low quantity (which I mean, even on a banner with all good relics 5 relics in 3 draws can only be so great) I got. Especially since I have so much on the table to farm. I will say the only reason I drew three times though was getting Agrias's Legend Materia in the first-- this was supposed to be a one and done but I hated getting Agrias's legend materia with no decent soul breaks for her. --- No problem! I'll have to go look again later though. Was probably a mistake but can't complain about the results either way.
