I agree with you about all except Nami. I like her tomboy style. And she's a redhead.

Heck, I forgot about Forte. I would have married her, but I'm afraid the she'd become super domestic post-wedding. I love her because she's so badass.
Maybe she does. That kind of thing is disappointing to me. I've been kind of thinking of giving DS Cute a shot and I was reading about some of the NPCs. One caught my eye named Flora who sounded badass. Cute design, has a cool research job that she loves, digs around in the excavation site for artifacts. Martial artist. Then I read if she's married in DS, she becomes a housewife who barely leaves the house. It made me so sad

yeah good point. I'm pretty similar. I tend to have one save file and that's it unless it's been a really long time or I didn't do a lot of things in the first place.

And Neon, yeah, it's similar to Stardew in that respect. You can also turn any monster you fight into livestock, craft your own equipment, stuff like that. and imo it has a great cast.

It's automatic, you can choose if you want a boy, girl, or random. I don't think you can save scum, pretty sure it's a set number of days after your marriage.

I personally hate the aesthetic of the character portraits in SV. The characters themselves didn't do much for me either. Between those two, it's probably why I only did a few dozen hours in SV.

I'm trying to chill out but I'm still irate. Someone needs to whack Marvelous over the head for their oversight (or approval) of letting other events coincide with festival entry dates. This is the second year in a row now that I couldn't do the cow festival--one I still haven't won but CAN now--because of kid shit. first the pregnancy, and now her learning to walk. I'm really, really peeved.

Honestly, they could have pleased both sides by making rival marriages activated by player action. So you could either leave em all lonely forever, or all paired up if they wanted, or pick and choose if they hate Rick.
This would be a really lovely solution I hope they implement in the future. I loved rival marriages. The marriage and kid system is why I love AWL as much as I do.

Alisa was clearly the canon one has she was the only one with romance endings but they gave everyone a romance ending in 4.
She was hinted to be canon without actually making it canon. All 4 games (and probably Hajimari still) they dance around it so no one gets upset that their waifu pick that isn't Alisa doesn't win. It's similar with Crossbell with Lloyd and Elie. For something so extremely narrative and character heavy as Kiskei, it really bothers me that they started doing this after Sky.

It isn't racism lol. It isn't because he's the one guy that's black, it's because he's the one guy that Popuri is into and he's overprotective of her. Especially when Kai only visits in the summer and Rick would probably worry about him treating her casually or, worse, "taking" her away from town.

Nah, in this game you have to wait until the season itself to buy the seeds. At the general store, anyway. Huang sells them all the time.

A big festival gripe in this game are Valentine's Day/White Day. Why exactly does the game expect me to stay in my front yard literally all day long so I can accept the gifts from my buds? Why not have them go around town as normal and give me the gifts when I talk to them? Eesh.

For the cursed tools, blessing them went from:
Carter blessing 10 times -> Carter blessing 5 times
255 uses -> 50 uses
Leave equipped for 10 days -> Leave equipped for 5 days

And I read that originally you had to have every tool in mythril form before cursed tools showed up in the Lake Mine, but I read that now you only need 2 mythril ones.

As far as jank, like I said. I feel like dialogue trees are incomplete. I don't remember any recent entries that had so many characters that just say "Hello" or "What do you want?" with absolutely no variety. Maybe I got spoiled by ToT.

Like, I know Marvelous is small but everything about the game makes it feel like it was made by a team of 3 people lol.
oh yeah I know what you mean. In that sense I've been spoiled by Trio of Towns as well (and Rune Factory 4 lol). It's not incomplete, but it's intentional and does get repetitive. A lot of older BM games are like this and Trio/Towns was a huge step up in that regard. For better and for worse, SoS Mineral Town is a very faithful remake for the bulk of it and that includes the dialogue. It's part of what I meant last night when I said that while I love playing this game, at the same time it's also just giving me an itch to go back to Trio.

What's an easy way to get money? >_>

Also I remember the store had secret seeds for each season but I completely forget how to unlock them.
...how do you unlock them?
For the seed question, you have to ship 100 of each crop (not including the ones sold by Huang) before that season's secret seeds are unlocked.

As for money cheese, there are two main ways:

Derby - Happens in the Spring and Autumn. Save scum the horse races while pumping all your money bets to the horse with the best medal outcome. The 2nd and 3rd races are rng so just reload until you get the payout. Then use the medals to buy a crap ton of brooches or dresses (latter is unlocked after you get the power berry and jewel) and sell them to Huang (4 affection needed) for a massive profit. Best done after you have a medium bag at least.

Van's Favorite - For every exactly ten items you buy from a shop (buying in stacks still only counts as one, you have to close and reopen the shop menu for it to count), you get Van's Favorite in the mail the next day. You can sell it to Huang for 50k.

If the graphics for this game look cheap, that's a ymmv thing I suppose, but it feels janky? I can't wrap my head around that one lol. It feels like a complete game to me.

For Trio of Towns, it's a great blend for me of having great NPCs with fun towns and the amount of customization and content you can go through. The dialogue actually feels more varied for once, leading to the world feeling more alive (which even extends to the family you leave behind feeling like actual people, too).
