Is this in reference to trying to marry her or is there another benefit to it? Like a truth stone or goddess stone? I looked up her requirements for marriage and I do not think I'm gonna be able to achieve such a thing without letting my beloved Popuri fall into the hands of that blasted Kai. I just got my axe to level 2 finally so I can get enough wood to upgrade my damn house and get the kitchen.

There is a book on your shelf for the HG, and it lists all the cooking items, giving her enough gives you useful stuff.

I mean if the looks are the only thing turning you off, mods are an easy fix. Unlike the gameplay. Hell the portrait fix isn't really a mod you install, you just copy and paste the new files into the portraits folder or whatever. Takes like two seconds to make it look much nicer.

That's just it. I'm not looking to be snarky, but if it were just graphics, it wouldn't be too much of an issue. I don't like the portraits, the models, the animations - basically the entire aesthetic suite. It just doesn't appeal to me.

How different is Rune Factory compared to Harvest Moon? Is it literally just Harvest Moon but you can also fight monsters too? >_>

It's Harvest Moon where you fight monsters, but fighting monsters is pretty darn important. It has a lot of the same features, like a town of people you need to befriend and love interests to woo. I've only played 1 and 4, but I really liked both of them. There's no gay marriage in the series though, so decide who you're going to marry ahead of time lest you break your own heart like I did.

yeah good point. I'm pretty similar. I tend to have one save file and that's it unless it's been a really long time or I didn't do a lot of things in the first place.

And Neon, yeah, it's similar to Stardew in that respect. You can also turn any monster you fight into livestock, craft your own equipment, stuff like that. and imo it has a great cast.

There is also a much larger crafting mechanic in RF. But since it has all those extras, it really downgrades the farming if you care about that.

I personally find the waifus in RF4 to be a bit lacking. The husbandos though *chef's kiss*

I really like the waifus and husbandos in RF4. If I ever played a guy, I'd be tempted for either Forte or Margaret.

I remember that in the GBA version of FoMT, your spouse gave you the option of having them continue their previous line of work, or just chill around the house, being a house wife/husband. I hope they kept it here.

See, that kind of thing absolutely breaks my heart. I feel like the wives in AWL also mostly stayed in the house or around your farm too.
