Yeah it's weird they kept the 50 year requirement when they lowered requirements to other things. I just got done getting and blessing the curse tools and blessing them was eased up on a lot.

What else did they lower under interest?

For the cursed tools, blessing them went from:
Carter blessing 10 times -> Carter blessing 5 times
255 uses -> 50 uses
Leave equipped for 10 days -> Leave equipped for 5 days

And I read that originally you had to have every tool in mythril form before cursed tools showed up in the Lake Mine, but I read that now you only need 2 mythril ones.

I'm already missing those qol improvements from stardew valley. I hate that I have to turn to face each crop to harvest it, and it takes ages. Why can't I just move my mouse around and harvest things in my near vicinity >_<

Tbh I'd like an original entry next. Something more on par with Trio of Towns, content and dialogue-wise. FOMT is great but I can feel the age despite the new graphics.

If they did do another remake though, I think I'd want DS/Cute, too. It's one that I've never played.

This is the algorithm for the apple game in the GBA version. idk if it works in this version, but here it is in case it does.

Right now I'm still in the first half of spring, and I'm just trying to decide who I'm going after. I've always had an affinity for Elly or Ann, so I'm leaning towards either of those options again. That always changes when somebody does something particularly endearing, like Popourri visiting my farm and taking up the entire morning in a tour.

Really wish they hadn't taken away the rival weddings. It made it feel like the bachelors and bachelorettes had individual autonomy, and the game wasn't centered around the player character alone.

I'm going to probably end up doing this. I don't think you need to have everyone at red heart, though. Preserved flower is just to move beyond friendship and into courtship, if I'm reading correctly.

Lmao it looks like they actually kept the mines exploit. Back in the GBA days, I found out how the kappa/goddess jewels were generated in the mines after doing some tests. Turns out it was all RNG. One you generate a specific random number, the gem gets popped inside all the designated "gem" rocks in the room. All you gotta do is find one of those rocks and it's guaranteed to drop. This works for other random things in the mines too (ladders, mythic stones, probably tools as well).

The easiest way is to just generate a bunch of random numbers upon entering each floor. In the original, opening and closing your rucksack generated a new number. It looks like opening your menu in this remake does that too. So just TAB into your inventory 20 times, then start looking for whatever (ladder, jewels, mythics). You should find it almost immediately.

EDIT: Actually I don't think I ever confirmed that this works with ladders. Those may be static upon entering the room. I'm not far enough to check if it still works for jewels though.

I tried that apple chart and it totally still works lol. I just wish it was faster to get the million >_> It gets pretty tedious

A quick note, what Thomas asks for is random, you should be able to reset from the night before, go to bed, and it can be different. I *think* it's Winter 2, iirc. I've seen white grass, the AEPFE or whatever the fuck it's called apple, golden egg, and now a diamond that Neon talked about.

Will test it out when I get to winter.

But only give it to Van if you have 1 million G on hand, or he'll just sell you back the Van's Favorite for a higher price >_>

I save scummed down to floor 60, but I kept finding the goddess gem immediately, no matter how many times I reset from the previous floor. So I wasn't able to test it out. Are people still having trouble finding gems? It could be that the RNG was removed for them and they always appear. Since you're having trouble with the mythic stones though, I'd guess not.
