It does, actually, yes. But the EU made it silly by giving him a whole bunch of ridiculous combat feats. The whole notion of sending him out to fight the First Order and knock over a bunch of walkers sounds cool, but in the end, it's dark side shit. Using the force to nonviolently buy time for the Resistance to escape is 100% the most Jedi thing to do in that situation. I think that moment is what solidifies Luke as a proper Jedi Master. He used the force for defense--not for attack. I think that's very cool.

So the whole idea of debating whether or not he could beat this Sith, or that Jedi, 1v1...or saying he could have beaten all the walkers if he was as powerful as his EU counterpart...misses the point of becoming a Jedi Master.
But Luke didn't need to die to do everything he needed to do.

It was written as plot induced stupidity to sacrifice Luke when he didn't need to be sacrificed to accomplish the exact same goals of helping his friends in the Rebellion escape.

I think it's cool that such a feat could kill even a Jedi as strong as Luke. Obviously he wasn't in his prime, but I don't think that's why he died, necessarily. The projection is an abnormal power and looks physically taxing no matter who you are. If it didn't kill him, I bet even a young Luke would have been out of commission for weeks following the event.
When you force project over hundreds to hundreds of thousands of "Light Years" instead of several dozen kilometers from the other side of the mountain range. Of course it would be strenuous enough to kill you.

They wroke Luke to be incompetent in the use of his power.

Luke literally knew when & where to help his friends.

Yet he couldn't be arsed to get into his X-wing, hop in it; fly on over and park on the other side of the mountain range and make a easier "Force Projection" to accomplish the same thing?

It's literally plot induced stupidity for the sake of drama.

Yes, seriously. In the books he can destroy planets and pull the engines from Star Destroyers.

In the Disney films he dies from being kinda tired.
Because Luke was written to be dumb and "Force Projected" himself across the galaxy.

Instead of spending all that extra time to fly in his X-Wing to the other side of Ice Cave mountain range.

Then Force Project from the safety of the Cave onto the Desert Salt Flats.

Luke "Over Exerted" himself because he didn't use Force Prediction to realize where his friends should've gone to escape.

He could've easily lived and just have been waiting near the exit of the Ice Cave and Force Projecting across the mountain range.

Instead of wasting time projecting across multiple light years.

He could've just projected across a few dozen kilometers.

Luke was never on any kind of brand new level, force-wise, in the original trilogy. He was a competent force user and decent with a lightsaber, but that was always the extent of it. If Vader had been fighting seriously the whole time in RotJ, he almost certainly would have bodied Luke.

Then, Luke stood up to the Emperor only to immediately get clowned onto the floor by force lightning. It was like he took a chair to the back of the head, WWE style, and had absolutely no chance of recovering. He was toast. He didn't win the day by being stronger than Vader OR Palpatine...he won by expressing love for his father and refusing to surrender to the dark side. Which turned Anakin back to the light, thus enabling Anakin to be the one who hucked the Emperor down a reactor tube.

Luke basically did nothing but get his ass kicked by Vader and Palpatine, except for the brief moment when he nearly succumbed to the dark side in a fit of rage. The whole "Luke is the most powerful Jedi" thing just doesn't add up outside of the EU novels.
Exactly.

Even in "The Last Jedi", they make Luke look like a fool by doing an unnecessary action and dying for it.

It's like, seriously, you couldn't be bothered to hop in your X-wing and go save your family and friends?

You had to wait for so long that you remote in via Force Projection "Across a Galaxy" and do a unnecessarilly strenuous action that took your own life?

It would've been FAR less strenuous to Force Project from the other side of the mountain.

Sequel Trilogy Luke is not very smart
There was no reason for Luke to Force Project across an entire Galaxy instead of just Force Projecting from within the Ice Cave safe & sound.

That would've been far less Strenuous and he wouldn't have to die.

Luke literally could've taken his X-wing, parked it near the escape entrance of the Ice Cave, and Force Projected onto the battle field where the First Order was trying to break in.

Once Luke revealed that he was a "Force Projection", then the rest of the Rebel Alliance would've escaped and the First Order would've looked like fools.

The book canon of Luke would have destroyed all those AT-ATs

Luke was Force Projecting "Across the Galaxy" and fighting Kylo Ren.

The AT-AT Blaster Fire did nothing, because it literally went right through his Force Projection body like a Ghost.

The thing that killed Luke was how strenuous it was to Force Project "Across the Galaxy".

In the true historical records, Liu Bei could at very best be described as a typical Warlord, serving only himself and willing to pretty much sacrifice anyone to escape. In fact, Cao Cao was basically the only one of the major warlords featured in the book who, in real life, made any attempt at all to establish normalcy and return imperial stability.

One of the more common arguments made lately is that the well-deserved admiration for his strategist, Zhuge Liang (who by nearly every account was considered a legitimate genius), somehow retroactively made Liu Bei more admired than he deserved.
So basically, Cao Cao was a much nicer guy then what was portrayed in Dynasty Warriors.

Liu Bei was more of a scum bag IRL.

Zhuge Liang really went to town on propaganda in making Liu Bei look good and it seems to have worked for quite a long time until relatively recently.

The documents we received cover much, much more than just deliveries. They also cover $TSLA's accounting software, general ledger, safety issues, Autopilot, and more. Read Documents 178 and 179 (link above) in full to fully understand the scope of these revelations.

SMRs 'ideal fit' for Australian market, report finds
https://www.world-nuclear-news.org/Articles/SMRs-ideal-fit-for-Australian-market-report-finds
CEO Tania Constable's remarks accompanied the MCA's launch of Small Modular Reactors in the Australian Context, a discussion paper authored by Australian nuclear expert Ben Heard which provides an overview of SMRs, their potential role in Australia and likely operating costs. The 33-page document considers three of the "most advanced" SMR designs that are currently undergoing regulatory approval - NuScale's Power Module, GE-Hitachi's BWRX-300 and Terrestrial Energy's Integral Molten Salt Reactor - and their potential use in Australia. By 2030 and beyond, the levelised costs of electricity for those three SMR designs are estimated to be between AUD64 and AUD77 (USD46 and USD56) per MWh.

SMRs are an "ideal fit" for the Australian energy market, the report finds, citing their enhanced safety, lower cost than large-scale nuclear reactors or equivalent energy production methods, configurability, and lower waste production than current reactors. Furthermore, SMR modules have a similar capacity to many of the existing generator units that make up Australia's coal and gas-fired power plants so could easily replace ageing coal or gas-powered turbines without the need for additional grid investment, it says.

"Even with conservative assumptions that include higher than expected construction costs, SMRs could be Australia's lowest cost 24/7 zero emission power source that underpins reliable and secure electricity supplies," Constable said.
