John Mulaney's great! I sae him twice at the Copper Cellar, fun sensabilities. His bit about overloading a jukebox with What's Up Pusdycat and his "Why marry the cow?" bit are what I usually think of with him.

This In Not Happening is a good show and I trust Roy Wood Jr. to carry the torch well. I sae that Howie-set...pretty funny how uncomfortable he was up by the stripper pole!

Katt Williams is one of my favorites. His latest special Great America's pretty good, but it's hard to touch him dancing and flipping burgers to EVERY DAY I'M HUSTLIN' HUSTLIN' HUSTLE

Jim Gaffigan is excellent. I used to listen to three episodes of Comedy Central Presents over and over again: Jim Gaffigan, Dave Attell, and Pablo Francisco...and he's gone on to probably have the best career of them.

I think King Baby's the special with his Hot Pockets-bit, right? Modern classic bit.

Exactly about C.K. It's one thing to make art about the dark corners of the mind that a lot of people don't want to talk about, but when audiences see it's based on some of his actions in reality it loses a lot of humor with those who now know.

I only started really liking Dane once other people were hopping off the train. ISolated INcident is probably my favorite special of his. His original Comedy Central Presents special was pretty good though.

He also deserved more credit for Employee of the Month. It's no perfect movie, but it's underrated.

Nah, I've enjoyed his stuff but I can't say he's stuck to my ribs like he has for a lot of other people.

EDIT: and fuck Leary -- best thing he ever did was the Asshole song. His stand-up is all attitude and weak on the jokes.

A girlfriend introduced me to Burnham when he was still just YouTube...didn't like him! Words Words Words is transcendent though. -- loooooved "Art is Dead." His next special was good too...think it was called "What" or "And" or something.

This conversation's got me thinking again about what happens to America in the times we're attacked during the Trump Administration.

I'm counting natural disasters as attacks for this conversation, so let's get hurricanes out of the way. Is there any question Sandy was handled better than Katrina or Maria? I'd like to see some newer comparisons between Katrina and Maria, but it feels like Donald found a way to be less concerned about it than Mr. "George Bush doesn't care about black people" (by the way, all the more odd now knowing Kanye supported Donald.....).

In terms of foreign terrorism, Dubya shot straight to 90% approval ratings after the worst attack in our nation's history. He messed that up over the years, but does anybody think Donald would receive uniform faith and support if a new 9/11 came to hit America? I think we'd hit new record-levels of partisanship.

Domestically, Charlottesville was completely disheartening to see Donald's reactions for...and more rallies have been held since then, and funding for anti-white supremicist groups have been stripped away.

As far as other attacks go, like Jakyl brought up, when is America actually going to do something about Russia's cyber-attacks infiltrating our voting systems? We can get into obstruction of justice too, but I fear that leads to the same issue.

Just...it's upsetting. I don't see where America would come together in our most vulnerable moments under Donald. Where do people learn to trust him in caae of attacks?

Some 1.36 million Americans are without power right now, and it isnt coming back any time soon. This is a national embarrassment.

Were talking about Puerto Rico. It is still in the throes of the longest and largest blackoutin US history following Hurricane Maria, the Category 4 storm with 150 mph winds and 36 inches of rainfall that toppled 80 percent of the islands power lines and flooded its generators last September.

As of February 7, about 30 percent of utility customers couldnt turn on the lights, refrigerate food, or run water pumps. That translates to 40 percent of the islands population, because customer refers to a power meter, and each meter can represent multiple people living in the same house.

Maybe ya'll can help me: I'm struggling to find easy-to-use archives for a lot of different news sites and I don't know why this should be hard. Right now I'm Googling the date + "news" and that's moving me forward, but I wish I could more easily do it with each site (and with their full articles too instead of this "preview the opening paragraph or buy access to the full article" I see sometimes).

I'm needing these because March 2017 and April 2017 are the two months I'm short on saved links for my project.

Finally watched this...pretty funny! I'm gonna sympathize a moment though and say when I recently hosted a game of Family Feud for a work party, we had the championship and I called out the wrong team as the winner. Not the wrong team name -- I was celebrating the wrong people, the losers.

Whoops! I really channeled my inner Steve Harvey, which I think was karma for making fun of his Miss America mistake two years ago.

Anyway, Donald is human and he's allowed a dumb stupid moment like this here and there like the rest of us...but also lol.
