45 just wins by default for having 90-minute episodes. its the only season that felt like it wasn't just paint-by-numbers survivor. they actually had time to develop every tribe, whereas on the other new eras a lot of tribes just got a bunch of generic "okay its the girls vs the boys!" "oh they're looking for an idol so they're suspicious" etc just the same plots every season. if you weren't in the tika 3 or a showmance in season 44 you just got zero development. an entire tribe got shafted in the edit in favor 1 person who got medevac'd 5 episodes in. jaime, kane, brandon, lauren, an entire tribe with no relevance until suddenly its their boot episode and they get built up a little bit right before they go. 60 minutes was fine back in the day but when they have to spend 10 minutes of every episode showing the latest advantages and idols being given out like candy there was no room to develop actual cast interactions (other than giving everyone a sappy backstory montage)

CE is going to get a 500-topic in less than 24 hours when we couldn't even manage it in over a month.

The text search for "small bombs" just gives bath bombs and war information, but if you click "Images" the top row is filled with Umineko memes. At least for me.

So, it seems like the patch has some elements that make the game harder as well, patching out a bunch of cheese strats. Too bad people are complaining about this without knowing all the details.

i don't know if that necessarily counts as making it "harder". i've never played this game but i know someone who was complaining about this because the devs basically patched out certain tricks that were so obscure that a normal player could never find them but that speedrunners were using. sounds like that's a major no-no to a large part of speedrunning community who don't appreciate being fucked with, to the point where they may just revert to older versions to speedrun the game. but this is all second-hand-stuff i was told, i have no experience with any of it.

i've only played re4 but i'd be shocked if anything could beat it for me considering how completely enraptured i was by it. i've never played a crpg, have no interest in spider-man, want to try the alan wake series (and control) soon and i've just trended more to PC gaming over the years so haven't played any modern mario/zelda.

didn't the show's original creators leave this project due to "creative differences"? to me that's a pretty good reason to not really have much interest in this.

i feel like if this was in an earlier season i might have liked it more, but by this point it just felt like "haven't i already seen this story on black mirror before?"

theme of the episode (i.e. the ultimate reveal of the guy's motive) felt simultaneously underwhelming and also too on the nose

like if the rating is for "how much do you like this character", and i really like this character, i like them, say, an 8/10 amount, just as much as i like other characters i gave an 8/10 to, and i want to convey that -

then why would i be like "oh but there was a time when i didn't like them... so i guess it's only a 7/10..."

i tend to rate most things based on their peak anyway.

i don't think my opinion of any ARR characters has majorly changed post-ARR but to be fair, that might be because ARR was just so boring that it left a permanent negative impression and i could never like any character i associate with it. alphinaud would probably be the only exception because he's, like, basically the main character of FFXIV and most of the past 10 years of story is a growth arc for him.

Don't most applications tend to include a question about if you would need any reasonable accommodations and what they are. Which means you would need to intentionally lie about that in the application to get this far.

that was addressed in the first post. it's the first paragraph after the numbered list. he had to lie on the form so they wouldn't discriminate.

i'm grading cecil kind of on a curve because while i don't really have any reason to like him, the dark knight to paladin idea is really cool, and i say that as someone who only played this game later on and doesn't have nostalgia for it. it's just pretty iconic.
