Not that either are what one should strive for, but there's exponentially more people who base their entire personalities around bootlicking for Apple. At least the "haters" have a reason, there. After all, Apple's awful design practices are slowly leaking into other companies.

Ah, keep the poor's unarmed.
"The poors" tend to be the most armed as is, actually, and usually to their detriment.

That said, the point is *no one* should be armed, as there shouldn't be a point in any place claiming to be a 1st world nation. Nothing he listed has any cost of merit, aside a gun safe, and that was only for those stockpiling (at which point the cost of the guns already is higher than any safe would be). Can't claim to be a responsible gun owner if you aren't ready tp pay for it.

Apu says hello.
APu went nearly 30 years without being an issue of note, until the blight that is Twitter randomly decided to make it such. And even then, the "issue" was that he's using a cliche Indian accent and mannerisms, which is all about writing, not casting. See Indian actor Karan Soni playing Dopinder in the Deadpool movies, yet playing a cliche Indian immigrant all the same. Casting the correct race changed zero about what was "offensive."

Last I checked, the whole point of acting was playing someone you *aren't*, and voice casting specifically on race is doubly stupid when the ethnicity, gender, etc. of the voice actor can be easily detached from their depiction.

That said, it's a moot point, since Hollywood has absolutely been tripping over itself to enforce affirmative action ever since the bogus OscarsSoWhite nonsense. So making sure everything conforms and matches is the new zeitgheist.

I feel that about somethings. Anything SW related these days I generally detest. I haven't been really into a RPG/RPG universe in a while (well, the Xenoblade games still kinda currently). The Elden Ring lore/world does very little for me, but the terrible mechanics of the games could be the driving force behind this. Otherwise, I have have my pleasures.

I have zero interest in The Rings of Power or House of Dragon, that said. I do want to check out The Sandman, that said.

I have zero respect for those cops in Texas. Actually lest a company or employer is royally screwing you, I have no respect for anyone who doesnt work hard at their job and do it right.

ParanoidObsessive posted...
It always feels slightly weird to complain about gas prices when you realize that Europeans have been paying closer to $8-10 a gallon for decades. Or that $4 a gallon is still cheaper than milk or soda.

But yeah, prices are obviously higher than they've been before. I still remember when I first started driving and gas was less than a dollar.
The lifetime breakdown of driving your car shows it to be even more silly.

For example, my car is a 2009, and has about $158k miles on it. While the it's max threshold is about ~420 miles before filling up, 375 per fill-up is more realistic.

This means I've filled up my car ~421 time, and using a $3/gallon estimate (filling up about to 13 gallons, so $39 a fill up), means $16,419 worth of money on gas spent. Or about $1,263, or $105/month, which I guarantee you everyone blows on Door Dash or whatnot more these days.

What's worse, is I actually got the car used in 2011, with 33k miles already on it, so my personal lifetime is closer to $13k flat, or about $95.50 a year.

THAT said, if one does plan on keeping a car that long, it definitely means most EVs will save you in the long run on gas along (never mind the other mechanical bills to upkeep combustion cars).

CyborgSage00x0

As a diver: Not well at all.

Any dive master will laugh at the idea of using a dive knife for this reason, and many are even blunted at the point (to kinda double as a flathead screwdriver/to open clamshells), and you a carry a dive knife primarily for emergency rope cutting and whatnot.

This concern is also almost non-existent, since sharks don't know what humans are underwater, and are curious/cautious of us, and we are too big to look like a direct threat or food (shark attacks on the beach happen because a shark is usually lost/desperate, and humans look like seals splashing around underwater). There's a reason why shark diving is an openly advertised thing, no extra steps or protection needed.

Hell, since sharks get paralyzed by swimming vertically, it's actually easy to deal with them if one gets frisky, such as here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQSP8Tn-mdc&ab_channel=TCZwag
(Note, that video is obviously situational).

Sure. Maybe not fair to the individual athletes, but the whole point of moving into a post-conflict world is to punish countries by making life at home uncomfortable, and this fits the bill. Not that Russia has ever had a good reputation for clean athletes...or that FIFA isn't shit itself, but sure.
