| CarefreeDude 02/16/21 11:10:19 PM #1 | Friday night an ice storm took down lots of trees and killed the power. Since I have well water I need to power a pump to get running water. We've had to get water from the creek until today. The power company has no eta on power restoration. Today I drove 4 hours up the road to Seattle to buy a generator and get supplies. Got a crap ton of bottles water and a ton of fuel and propane too. The generator I got was able to get the internet running and can run a space heater. Even after I got a job and received private healthcare, the state healthcare stayed and was able to pay for the deductible to my private healthcare. Thanks to this, I had my private healthcare pay for most of the cost of the birth of my daughter, but I also had state healthcare cover the 8000 for the deductible. Anyway I don't get why people say having government provided healthcare is a bad thing. It's really made a huge difference for my family when things sucked.
