Alright, so say Aliens came to earth, and offered the world what we need: access to unlimited resources, free energy, cleaning up pollution, and easy solutions to basically every issue in our world.

In exchange, all they want is to harvest our elderly (age 80+) as old humans are a delicacy in their world. In a humane fashion of course.

Would you consider this a fair deal? Also lets assume that due to all the improvements they have given us, most people would live long enough to be harvested

on a first date with a lady, we were having sex outdoors next to a river, and then suddenly a police boat shines a spotlight on us. we were kinda frozen with fear and the police boat floated by, shining the light on us, and then went on their merry way. If it weren't for the threat of other people, we'd likely have the means and knowledge to survive indefinitely. The problem is our complete lack of any fortification, lack of means to quickly erect fortification, and sheer manpower required to defend a homestead of this size (80 acres). Best case scenario we would pull in a large number of like minded individuals to create a self supporting community. These people could work the land and defend it.

Depending on the circumstances, we will probably be fine. We are in prepper mode and we have stockpiles if food and supplies, as well as more than one water supply (river, lake, and well). We also have tons of farmland for crops, and livestock. Plus we have heavy machinery and a large stockpile of fuel. On top of that we are well armed to help defend against raiders, though I imagine a small handful of adults and children would likely do poorly against a large group.

Would still be a shitty life to live though

It's a possibility, but the extensive testing process means you're only partially responsible for any errors that make it into production. Realistically, you're probably more likely to kill somebody on your commute to/from work than as a consequence of the actual work you're doing.

I work from home so it would be a very interesting circumstance to kill someone during the commute

I write/maintain software that allows surgeons to use surgery robots. Sure, there is a huge extended QA and testing processes that should in theory catch any possible bug in the software, not to mention tests done by surgeons and all that, but as I work I keep having this these thoughts inside the back of my mind of "what if a bug gets through and the robot tears someone apart from the inside, killing them horrifically"

Say the following cases get convictions and jail time for each:

Stormy daniel case
Georgia election meddling
Classified documents

Does he have to serve the jail time back to back, each in a different place? does jail time in one place count as time in another place? Or does the federal case just "Trump" the others?

Also if he does end up in jail before 2024, but he runs and somehow wins the 2024 election from jail, what happens? I assume he could pardon himself from the federal stuff, but would he stay in jail for the state stuff? Does a state have to release a prisoner whos been elected president?

Roughly a year and a half ago, I got a big promotion, but they were still trying to get the pay increase taken care of due to my company being purchased by a bigger one. I've been working the new position for this whole time, but the only pay raises i've gotten are the quarterly percentage raises that everyone gets, and never got the salary i'm supposed to with my position. Plus if they had actually given me my increased salary, those raises would have been much larger. I think its time to find a new job.

I don't think I agree with this. I've had some really close online friends in the past, which have felt way more than acquaintances.

Coworker friends are usually cool.

Being sociable with others was a lot easier when I lived in the city. Currently just surrounded by farmland. Its true I do have my spouse and my kids, although I feel there is a sort of interaction and friendship that you really can't get from your spouse/family that we are both missing.

Coworker route is hard for me because I work fully remote, and I'm a "team of one", meaning I rarely have interaction with coworkers.
