It's either tons of free keys (TONS) or $4000 / month which I can not afford at all. So it boils down to putting links in my signature because it's easy and free (lol) I did try and put up a post on r/roguelikes however the mods took it down because I had to wait 3 months between bouts of self-promotion. The last time I made a post there it was looking for beta testers. I didn't think this was self-promotion and they did. And they hold the keys, so what can you do? It has 1 of 4 classes and 2 of 6 areas unlocked but otherwise you can get almost every item and etc. It focuses on being easy to get into, and not having to memorize 1,000 key commands to play- this is the biggest barrier to these things for myself and what looks like many others! I wouldn't fault Metroid 2 for it because it worked well within the confines of the system. The game had to be more linear with more save spots due to the nature of handheld gaming in general, and I think it did a great job of doing that. Oh for sure- it's probably not a very fair assessment on my part, it's just that my overall experience with the NES game was a lot better and I played it a ton more often. I even bought the 3DS remake of Metroid 2 but kind of got bored with it after clearing the first couple sections. Dikitain posted... As much as I love the original SaGa (Final Fantasy Legend) games,Hey, was this the one where you were an escaped gladiator at the beginning? I thought it was Final Fantasy (something) but was an action RPG. I remember if you equipped an axe you could cut down trees that were in your way and stuff like that. I found BotW's open world to be a hell of a lot more engaging and lifelike than something akin to Skyrim and etc. Even something stupid like figuring out you can hold an apple and feed it to the horse you just fell out of the sky on and captured is handled really well. After taking out the barrier with missiles hop down into the lava and freeze those 3 cheerios, then jump back up and stand on them. Fire missiles into Mother Brain until the cheerios thaw then do it all over again. Getting accidentally hit by those little ceiling cannons or having trouble with the lava are the only things you have to worry about but they're not too bad. If you're purposely trying to win using the wave beam though this whole area is really hard to get through. I think I've done this two times ever. Lokarin posted... I mean, hell, Ridley is outright down a SECRET passage that you might never find. This kind of stuff is what I had the most problems with when I originally played this in the old days. Like I never knew you had to bomb areas that didn't look like those destructible regenerating blocks.
