I hate that, which is why whenever we play now we tweak the rules a bit so if you don't have anything and have to pick up 2 cards from the deck you stop and it's the next guy's turn right away.

No more of those hands where you're holding 30 greens hah.

It's in Clickteam Fusion 2.5, it's just me (I almost always handle every aspect of the games for good or bad hah), and why? Because it's a hobby of mine since 1987 and because it's challenging and fun!

Thanks man it's never a waste of time for new ideas!

I pretty much have the main story set up and as far as the actual game goes I have a title, start menu, introductory stage (this is side view, like Zelda 2 but there's no fighting here), and the first dungeon which is strictly tutorial. The tutorial has a special chest where you find one of the 9 God powers / items randomly. All these are passives so the trick here I want is for players to be able to pick and choose, and for no one power to be worthless so any build would work.

I was also thinking maybe you should keep the god items when you find them but only be able to purchase consumables from the shop. I have herbs, torches, and a magic flask that regenerates life so far for those.

Hello

I'm in the development stages of a new game and am trying to decide on something. You have currency to spend on items but I'm thinking on having the main items be 'to rent' between stages / levels kind of like how a link between worlds did it.

My main reasoning why is the guy has a limited inventory of 16 slots and can randomly pick up items on the stages themselves. I didn't want players to buy an item for big bucks at a shop and then find the same item later in a chest or something.

Any ideas would be cool, I like bouncing ideas off of people who are impartial. The theme is Ancient Greece and the stages play out like the first Zelda, the items in question come in 3 types (offense, defense, and aux) and are based off of Greek gods.

Thanks for listening to me blab!

While we're at it, people seem to think that DS9 stank before Worf (or possibly the Defiant, in S3) came along but count me as one who actually really liked the early seasons. S2 in particular was pretty strong overall.

I'm so glad DS9 had so many things the other series didn't (Dominion is a great example, and I think they were the first to feature Marquis in not positive). Aside from the pilot flashback, no Borg. As you can see with Voyager they took from the TNG way way too much including reducing the Borg to a watered down joke of their former selves (or should I say 'self'?) Even a good concept as Species 8472 was eventually neutered.

Voyager had hands down the best premise of all the series. SO much potential. 'Caretaker' is actually pretty good too. But they should've had most of season 1 with mad infighting between the two crews. VOY also had the worst first officer in Chakotay.

BUT

I agree VOY had some stellar episodes! Tuvix, Equinox, Death Wish, Timeless, Living Witness, Drone, etc etc and that's just off the top of my head. Way too many duds mixed in between though. They tried a ratings grab with Seven and surprise surprise she turned out to be one of the show's only 3 good characters alongside the Doctor and Tuvok.

Do it. Awesome game.

It has pretty glaring faults once you get past the awesome aesthetics and get a little further in.

Here's my review:

http://steamcommunity.com/id/dxfgames/recommended/262060/

7.8 hrs on record

Not for nothing, but you barely played the game.

Not in disagreement that the game has flaws. I said it was an awesome game, not a perfect game. But you can hardly say your review is at all comprehensive if you barely played the game.

In all honesty though, 8 hours should be more than enough time to criticize the 'reward' system for clearing a dungeon or the lack of healing facilities back in town. It's not like I said the post game sucks or anything nobody would know at the 8 hour mark.

Some of the negative reviews have a lot less time put in, with a lot less helpful info. There's lots to like about the game though otherwise I wouldn't have given it the 8 hours in the first place. Magicite for example I couldn't get past 20 minutes due to the terrible controls. I wouldn't spend 8 hours on a total dud after all :)

tng > ds9

TNG and DS9 are character driven shows

Easily the best characters on DS9 and TNG are O'Brien and Garak vs Picard and Data

O'Brien and Garak > Picard and Data

therefore

DS9 > TNG

embarrassingly shallow explanation complete

I see your O'Brien and Garak and raise you one Quark and Odo.

Still, can't argue your choices are bad.

This is the correct breakdown. You can disagree if you want, but you're wrong if you do.

I love Trek, and most of your choices!

DS9 > TNG > TOS > VOY > DSC > ENT

Could never get into Enterprise but I tried so much. Discovery so far is entertaining but it's all cake frosting and no substance. Give me an episode with flute-playing Picard over anything they've churned out so far any day.

DS9 is king. I took some pictures with Kira, Dax, Rom, Martok, and Gowron a few years back and they hang on my living room wall still haha:
