That Final Fantasy Monster Hunter wannabe game from a year or so back. They could've done so much with this but it was terribly boring.

Runner up: Diablo 3 when it first came out. Maybe it'd be impossible to live up to the high bar D2 set but it's like they didn't try too much. Years later and after many changes it's a much better game (RoS UEE)

I know this? Maybe that's why I like it.

And to erik, if that were the case, you'd be the one loving it. It's far from generic. There's an insane amount of heart and love put into these movies.

@FrozenBananas to the part I bolded.

0rfZqYZ

Thank you for the laugh.

Massive Trekkie here. I have been watching Star Trek for 29 years and I DO NOT acknowledge the existence of these fucking shit "reboot" movies.

"Oh look lets change over 40 years of established canon. Oh we'd better put it in an "Alternate Universe" to stop the hardcore fans coming at us with torches and pitchforks"!

The original cast is the crew of The Enterprise NCC - 1701 not these fucking joke nobodies.

J.J Abrams went to a convention once and was jeered and booed of the stage as the hardcore fans didn't want him there.

Wasn't it Into Darkness that was panned by everyone?

For me Star Trek ended with "These Are The Voyages" the final episode of Star Trek: Enterprise.

I would much rather be tied to chair, have my eyelids taped open and made to watch the freaking horrendous jokes that were Star Trek Insurrection and Star Trek Nemesis until I am doing a great impression of Captain Picard from "Chain Of Command" than ever watch those "reboot" movies.

THERE. ARE. FOUR... LIGHTS!!

I always liked Insurrection. They said it was like a two part TNG episode. There's worse things out there. Nemesis was pretty bad. Why was Picard at the academy in that picture bald? B-4. Dune buggies. What a terrible send off to a great crew.

I'm a giant Trek fan and though the JJ verse movies get a lot of poop flung on them I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy them all at least a bit.

But

Into Darkness should have never tried to flip flop Wrath of Khan. "John Harrison" should have been someone else. Alice Eve in her panties was pointless (looked good, but pointless). Spock all "KHAAAAAAANNN!!!" was not only laughable it somehow cheapened the movie it was trying to pay homage to. Magic blood? Transporters that can beam from Earth to "CHRONOS" because that makes sense now and let's just rename the Klingon home world just because....

The only good thing about Into Darkness was namedropping Section 31 from DS9.

Q Who?
Yesterday's Enterprise
The Wounded

The Offspring

There are also a great couple episodes featuring Worf and his discommodation within the Klingon home world with the Duras family. I can't remember the names though.

Try to get the five squirrel team!

Super spoiler about a S2 character that's super B.S:

Hi TC!

Finally a topic I can get behind haha. I am a huge huge Trek fan and can point you in the right direction:

Deep Space Nine: All 7 seasons are great. Worf from TNG joins the cast in S4. There is a prolonged war with the Dominion over many years, and the show's secondary cast is the best of all Trek. This show has the Defiant. Pulse phasers, ablative armor, cloaking device. 'Nuff said. There are many religious overtones but you're not really beat over the head with it. This is my favorite Trek series and probably the one that has aged the best.

Next Generation: Seasons 3-6 are excellent, with the series peaking in season 4. Captain Picard and Data steal the show but everybody not named Troi or Crusher is good too. Miles O'Brien started on TNG before he went to DS9 as a main cast member. TNG is hard to watch from the beginning (unlike DS9) because the first season is abysmal. S1 and S3 are like night and day. When I rewatched TNG with my daughter we started with S3 (barring 'Q Who' from S2 which is... very important later in the show).

Voyager: Had the best premise BY FAR however never really did much with it. Overall the writing quality is all over the place with a few standout episodes and a ton of turds. This show had the weakest first officer in Chakotay and that hurt the series. The best characters are the Doctor, Tuvok, and Seven of Nine later. Voyager also has the 'distinction' of watering down and overusing the Borg.

Enterprise: Sort of sucked. I could never get into it though I tried a lot. Trip is the only good character though T'Pol and Hoshi are good to look at (I guess?) lol

The Original Series: The holy triumvirate of Kirk, Spock, and Bones is unmatched. Kirk famously overacts in every scene but he's still awesome. Spock is probably the best character of all Trek overall. Bones is definitely the best doctor, he's a badass. Some of the best episodes are in season 1, which is strange since it's usually the weakest season for future Trek shows (especially TNG, yuck).

Look, if I can basically lock myself in my room for three solid weeks before ye olde Internet and win so can you haha.

But seriously it's one of those games like Zelda 1 where you have to try everything everywhere. The sheer amount of secret walls / bricks in LotW is nuts. Everything's this complicated maze with puzzles designed for (mostly) one particular character- and hopefully you brought that character down there to it.

Guardian Legend is a lot easier to pick up and play but aside from getting some of the corridor entrances to open up it's not too hard to figure out. Some of the corridors themselves are really hard though!
