I built mine for Christmas 2015 and it's showing its age a bit these days. wolfy42 07/16/21 7:15:54 PM #8:	I have a future proof laptop which is easily portable and already has steam and all my games on it. I even bring my xbox 360 controller with me sometimes. Why would I get a steam deck? Heck you could pretty much buy a gaming laptop at this point for that price (tho mine was $1500 base on sale for $999 when I bought it 4 years ago). Has 16 gig of ram 4gig GPU and a fast processor, shouldn't have probs running games for another 4 years at least....and then I'll just get another laptop. --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." Thankfully I live within walking distance of a Micro Center, but I haven't attempted to visit it since they changed their policies from camping out overnight to QR queues. Also, they seem to have more Ti card versions available these days and I don't want to spend that much more for like, 3-5% gain? adjl 07/19/21 2:31:47 PM #16:	Pretty much the only use I'd have for this would be to play Steam games on the TV (I've already got a Switch, and there aren't many Steam games I feel the need to play on the go), and I've already got a Steam Link to use (however imperfectly) on the rare occasion I actually want to do that, so I don't see much reason to get one.
