In 2024, perhaps they will once again favor candidates who "insult their way to the presidency" but until then civil discourse must reign. Just like people are willing to give Trump a pass on this whole "Sedition" thing, whereas if Obama incited people to invade Congress, those same Republicans would be calling for his head (rightly so). But your response to that would be "Same thing, both sides!' without any evidence that the Democrats would do the same in the Republicans position. It's this double standard and why I don't think Democrats should try to reach out to Republicans. Because Republicans don't want to be reached out to.
