FFVII and MGS could be considered vital to shaping modern AAA gamings heavily cinematic approach to games. Doom pretty much started the modding community, right? Mortal Kombat created the ESRB and between that and Night Trap, popularized the idea that games could be violent or "sexy" (though lol at Night Traps controversy.) I'll also say Pokemon. Not for any huge move in the industry itself but because the franchise itself has become ingrained in pop culture in a way not even Mario can brag about. --- Sigs are for losers |
