Honestly just give the Ewoks an extra foot of height and they're fine.

Its easier to overlook ewoks for me since they add to the story. If Ewoks are in a scene, usually something is moving forward.

JarJar is completely useless after they get through the Planet Core, so everything he does is potentially distracting.

There's also the fact that after Luke confronts Vader the rest of the movie is GOAT tier. TPM has a lot of other problems. >_>

Honestly the monetezation of video/streaming websites was the worst thing to happen to them. Now they're so oversaturated with over-produced, over-long videos.

People used to put out videos because they were passionate about the content. Now it's a bunch of kids scrambling to compete for crumbs of ad money hoping that a few of them will end up making a living off of it. <_<

I dont understand Japan's live-action adaptations. They try so hard to make everything look and feel like the anime, that they may as well just be doing animation. It always ends up looking like a bunch of cosplayers. >_>

Chapter Black was top-tier until the climax. It had the same creepy, dangerous atmosphere of early YuYu but with generally better writing/story. It wasn't until the climax that it fell apart for me.

The last arc was so lame, but I heard by then Togashi wasn't even trying anymore lol.

My favorite part of the Dark Tournament is Hiei. He has some great character moments lol.

Cell was great before he became perfect. Up until that he was this creepy, monstrous thing that came out of a horror film. The Z-fighters were chasing him down. I actually git chills when Picollo first encountered him. And there's the double conflict where they want to stop the androids, but also have to make sure Cell doesnt get them.

But then he became perfect and he got kind of boring. Gohan makes up for it though.

I rewatched the Buu saga a few years ago and it wasnt as bad as I remember. Feels a lot better when youre not waiting week after week for it.

Ah, thanks. Sounds cool.

Life called for a few hours, but I got the first three episodes in. So far, this is the most kawaii shit ever. The art style though...I feel like between the anatomy and the camera angles, there are some uncomfortable undertones of lolicon-bait.

Also, I never watched much magical girl stuff, so it's blowing my mind how many of the tropes I saw Madoka tear apart are being played straight. Still, it's enjoyable.

I decided to watch the series instead of the movie because I'm a hopeless completionist, also I have a free trial of Amazon Prime lol.

So far it's pretty fun. Next ep preview shows some rival blonde character. Looks interesting.

So we're rewinding to the original Godzilla VS Mechagodzilla.

Someone in the last topic said they always saw Mecha-G as Goji's true arch-nemesis, and seeing this it's pretty easy to see why. Godzilla gets freaking murdered. He takes multiple stabs and blood is shooting out of his neck. He ultimately only winning by making up a new power, and using his body's energy to create an electro-magnet that immobilzes his enemy, allowing him to tear off its head.

The plot is pretty much just there. A woman prophesied that a giant monster would destroy Japan. This sparks an investigation into an ancient statue and the legend of a guardian monster, King Ceasar. The monster is of course, Mecha-Godzilla, created by shapeshifting gorilla aliens. The protagonists try to unravel the secret of the statue to awaken King Caesar.

Not much to say here, except that King Ceasar may be one of the most underwhelming kaiju I've seen so far. Waking him up takes up an entire sub-plot and full-length song, but he doesn't accomplish much besides buying time for Godzilla to arrive. Feels like it was supposed to be a King Ceasar movie and the Godzilla plot was added in to make it sell.

Also, the movie re-used the exact same "alien has gun on hero, but secret agent shoots him from the shadows " thing like three times lol.

As much as can be correlated between radical right-wing ideology and this violence, I feel like bringing up his political affilation wouldn't help.

Was he violent because he was a radical? Or did his violent tendencies make him more likely to fall into a radical ideology? Is this political affiliation a motivation for his actions, or expression of them?

It's good that this tragedy hasn't become about Trump.

I never understood why fans insist on keeping genres so rigid and narrowly focused.

Smash Bros is not a conventional fighter, but it is still designed with the same general set-up and goal as anything else in the genre. Call it a "Party Fighter" or a "Platform Fighter" if it helps you sleep at night.

Some of the best or most influential games only happened because they added to or defied genre conventions, and in turn invented new sub-genres. Like "Metroidvania" or "Roguelike".

It just seems silly to be so invested in whether or not X popular game is Y genre. As if genres themselves cant advance, evolve, and diverge over time.

While I believe it's possible for a person to have mental and emotional clarity after performing such a terrible thing, it would probably be naive to let it affect his sentencing much. Take the death penalty off the table if his pentience can be proven sincere.

But if it can be proven, we have a psychological unicorn here. A person who perpetrated a mass shooting, didnt kill themself, and apparently is both lucid and pentient. If anyone could interview/study him and that research lead to the decreasing of future incidents, I'd be okay with him having a few years knocked off his sentence.
