Thats not the same. Battlepasses typically dont lock fundamental parts of the game behind them in a AAA game. Also you can level your battlepass up as much as you want without limit. You dont get locked out if not being able to level it up unless you win games

ithen play zombies and do contracts or better yet don't play the game at all

Cause they wanted a daily grind to keep people playing, seemed pretty obvious.

as to the progression system, you can just do the zombies dailies then farm contracts. 3 contracts = 1 daily. You can grind out a bunch of contracts within the 45 min period of zombies. You can also just pick up guns and equipment in zombies and exfil with it to unlock it in the main game. I literally only have a handful of weapons left to unlock and i'm not even level 55 nor did I play MW2 much.

Just make a mental note of the guns you want/don't have, pick it up from either wall buys, loot stashes, mystery box(this is a good one because it's relatively cheap AND gives you a high rarity weapon for bonus damage) or mercenaries that you kill. Sometimes reward caches drop weapons too.

They dont need to learn anything. Its making them money, and thats their sole criteria for success. In fact given the AAA game industrys well known contempt for its consumers, theyre probably happier knowing gamers are pissed off as long as the money keeps flowing.

Also how did these series take off and become iconic? I didnt need CoD, because I already had the best FPS (Counter-Strike). I didnt need God of War, because I already had Devil May Cry. I didnt need PUBG or Fortnite, because that genre can go fuck itself.

it was a console FPS available on PS and Xbox, and marketed as a somewhat realistic military shooter. Of course it got popular.

okay damn near the entire trilogy was iconic. Stakes felt real too because characters actually died. How many times did gamers replay the mw2 betrayal mission, or the finale of mw1 to try to save their soldiers >_>

at the risk of gatekeeping, it's a casual friendly game played by many who do not actually branch out into other games. Like how sims players mostly play the sims, sports players mostly play sports, etc..

Yeah I jumped in solely because it's about as close to MW2 2009 remaster as we'll get. I had no intention of buying it until I saw it was literally just those elite MW2 maps. Fully recognize I'm part of the problem there, spending $70 on old maps with a fresh coat of paint, but I'll take your flames in stride.

The campaign is totally rippable. No objections there. But I played the MP for a bit at release last night and was excited to be back. Loved the lobby chats of people saying how glad they were be to be back in 2009.

So, yeah. tldr anyone expecting solidness or buying COD just for the campaign is just delusional. You know what COD is about at this point.

the overly complicated gun upgrade system is one of my biggest beefs with the game. Remember when you just unlocked attachments at levels? Now you have to do weekly sidequests and shit to get a fuckin red dot sight

Although thats far from just a MW3 issue, whenever they introduced it is when i really started disliking COD. Although i have practically been retired since MW3. Played the hell out of 4, MW2, and Black Ops, then MW3 came and i was like "this is the same goddamn game" and got to like level 11 and quit. Never played COD nearly as much again.

i bought it on steam so i could get a refund if i played it for less than 2 hours. I put 73 minutes in and was unimpressed by the game. This is the first COD i bought at launch in a loooong time too. I normally wait til they drop down to like 20-30 bucks and out of curiosity i'll buy it, but i skipped vanguard and world war 2, very nearly skipped MW2 as well until i saw it on a deep discount.

Only bought infinite warfare because you needed it to play a much better game, COD4 remastered. Refused to play that DMZ/Warzone nonsense too

It's too bad it'll still sell a billion copies and Activision will learn nothing

Yeah, this is why I'm overly paranoid about food safety. If I cook rice in the cooker, I won't eat it if it's left out for longer than 2 hours. I generally leave it on the counter long enough to cool down and then I put it in a container and straight to the fridge.

I know several people who will eat rice that has been left out for a day and...while they've been fine, it's just not worth the roll of the dice to me.

It's not out till Thursday at midnight. I've been thinking about it though. Almost time! I'm stoked. I got Yakuza 7/Like a Dragon day one but I wasn't really around the boards much at the time. Though I am positive I looked at Cyric's guides for something in the games.

Yeah the concept is simple. The execution isn't unless you're just a natural.

Lining up the sights to aim and doing it quickly never came naturally to me. That said IF I ever used a gun it would be close range cause I'm not that confident in longer ranges with a hand gun. Close range unless you just suck you don't even need to use the sights really.

In fact that's part of my yearly training/qualification for work. Close range hip fire

If your state has it go get a conceal carry. Here anyways you have to qualify for one. So that way you'll know if you are competent enough. Get some practice rounds in at the range first. See if you can talk with the range master and have them give advice and tips.

There is all sorts of things that factor in like how you hold the gun. One way a lot of people tend to do cause their hand to slightly turn to the side when they pull the trigger which throws aim off. Need to figure out what your dominant eye is too.

my problem is i'm slow to load the mag, and struggle with correctly positioning my hands, which as i outlined earlier is probably due to me being lefthanded. It'll just naturally take me longer to do stuff unless I submit and just pretend to be a righty >_>

I've had dreams where I've been repulsed by my actions in the dream. Waking up wondering if I was fucked up in the head but people where able to give decent explanations of how things in my life could lead to a dream like that.

I think not all dreams have to have a meaning, sometimes it just happens. Most of my dreams are incredibly random and don't relate to me at all but it's peoples natural tendency to try to look for a meaning in everything

smart option would be to not take it. Accepting payment opens you up to an extreme world of hurt and no one thats on GameFAQs is about that life, you'll end up either dead or in prison.

i dont think it would be a fantasy, that would be terrifying to have happen to me and is exactly the kind of situation i was trying to get a gun for, so i wouldn't be defenseless.

it was probably just my desire to learn how to work a gun melding with my ability to learn in stressful situations and my mind combined that into one. I wouldn't mind at all if I never had to use the gun, in fact i'm hoping for it but with gun laws becoming looser in my state its a sad reality lol
