I remember a few months ago it was a contentious thing to say that BG3 was a shoe in for GotY. Now every anticipated game has came and went and it really is all down to BG3 and Zelda lol

I still haven't finished BG3, but it deserves what it got. My girl the Narrator should have won though. Her or Cid IMO
Sucks that Alan Wake 2 wasn't fully eligible because it really seems phenomenal so far. I think it's going to fly under the radar compared to some other games since this year was so stacked. It's very unique in terms of presentation. Seems to take elements of previous Remedy games and combine them into something greater. It's essentially Twin Peaks: The Return in video game form. Honestly, I've really enjoyed pretty much everything I've played this year. BG3 deserves all the accolades it gets. Im just 5rilles the $80 Breath of the Wild DLC didnt undeservedly sweep.

Hogwarts Legacy was the most "came and went" AAA game that released this year. All of the buzz for it was over the controversy and not the quality of the game.
