Probably the super bowl because they make such a huge show out of it. The National Anthem with the Planes flying over the stadium & the half time show makes it seem like you get the most bang from your buck. Just seems like a big party.

Just got into stocks this week and spent 1000 for starters. Bought one stock of Microsoft, some Facebook, some Airbus and then some tourism shit that I think will rebound as Corona gets better. Im in it more for the long run and just dont want inflation to fuck the money thats just layin in the bank. Having said that, I went to reddit and checked out wsb just to see what the hype was about. Bought some SNDL for the hell of it to see what happens and of course it fucked me. Only spent 60 thought so not really a big deal. Gonna keep it to see what happens. First and last time doing that. But a fun experience.

It's risky but definitely something to consider for long term. The airline stocks in particular are good since domestic air travel is still happening. Cruise stocks are a lot more risky but I've had friends made decent gains off those stocks when they bought them around March/April of last year.

I am looking at companies like the German Company TUI. They have travel agencies, their own planes, hotels, cruise ships and have been getting government subsidies to save their asses. They are at 3,64 now but up to 12 when things were going well.

Whats the general opinion of buying stocks of companies that were effected by covid, ones in the tourism branch for example. So many stocks are just shot to shit at the moment, but many reputable companies will surely recover over the next few years. Seem like safe bets. Any thoughts on this?
