Whitney Houston - I Will Always Love You Celine Dion - My Heart Will Go On PSY - Gangnam Style The reason I'd stick with more "English Speaking" songs is because we're far less likely to listen to foreign language music,awhile they are not as closed off to English music in the rest of the world comparatively. Now J-Pop and K-Pop have grown more acceptance in the West, but individual songs typically haven't reached saturation as older songs. On the one hand, I feel like it was impossible to get away from Gangnam Style a few years back. On the other hand, it didn't have the staying power of Whitney/Celine, nor did it have a movie to tie into. I think ultimately, without having lived outside of the country, I would never be able to gleam what is popular in other countries OFFLINE. --- I use Google...
