Castlevania: Harmony of Despair

so damn fun to play. i played on and off from like 2010-2015. tried a few times to get on and play the years since, especially after they put them on ps4/xbox one but they only had the base game and not chapters 8-11 which sucked. been hoping they'd bring that back and partner it with iga and bloodstained to revive it and add more characters and levels to it. but that's just a dream.

i miss the older GDQs they definitely fall off a bit the last 5 or so years trying to always hit $2 million+ every event. i'll still watch the VODs when it goes up on youtube. at least for the more interesting runs. i do enjoy quite a few people that tend to show up each year. and usually enjoy the rob the robot block and awful games block.

what's the annual fee on it? definitely more for like sports team owners and stuff paying for travel constantly for their team or some rich people traveling for business dropping like $10k a flight for some special first class with a chef and massage and crap.

i did that with switch 1 to buy the super smash bros special edition one and then had to wait a couple months for smash bros to come out. only game i played on it was golf story and then mostly just played my ps4.

had no interest in the swtich 2 yet. it does have donkey kong coming out but i'm not interested enough to spend $600 to get it. i enjoyed mario odyssey but i didn't even really play it and beat it till 2 years ago. i tried it like a year after it came out when i bought it and beat the first world or 2 and then dropped it cause i wasn't really feeling it. it's a good game but definitely found it overrated and i enjoyed 64 way more growing up and the galaxy games more as well.

so i feel like switch 2 still doesn't even have a system seller announced yet for me. mario kart i know does sell a crazy amount of copies since everyone has it but heard more negatives than positives about it and i didn't like the changes from the start. DK i feel like people are calling a system seller more because there's nothing else. only the snes games sold really well. most don't sell all that great. way less than mario games and mario kart. they're on par with the mario & luigi games and the mario sports spinoffs and nobody would call those system sellers. so we'll have to see what the 2nd 3d DK game can do and if it can sell more than DK64 which isn't a high bar since the 64 got killed in sales by ps1

so it's the mcu with an alternate identical timeline just where you randomly wake up with $5 billion. so basically you took a gamble and bought 50k bitcoin in like 2010 when it was 10 cents. $5k investment and then you forgot about it and say the deal randomly made you remember in the alt timeline?

guardians 3 easily. deadpool and wolverine is the only other good one i seen but i haven't seen thunderbolts yet.

captain america was pretty meh. ant man was bad. i think the marvels gets more hate than it deserves but it also wasn't good either.

is this like all the failed nick shows? i don't know any of these and i watched a lot of nick in the 90s

is space cases the one with the alien friend? and they had an episode with him and his dad at a stop sign and they legit stopped there for hours and never moved passed it? if so that's all i remember about the show and don't remember it being any good.

death stranding 2 being the biggest one which is ps5 only now. might come to pc in a year but nothing has been confirmed as far as i see.

but yea a lot of ps5 games come to pc and xbox but switch 2 has nothing worthwhile yet and i'm not sold on DK either.

that's what stopped me from smoking when i was younger. it was like $5 a pack of cigs. smoke them in a week or lot of people per day or i could just save that money and buy a game or something. the people doing it daily is $35 a week which you can easily buy a game on sale with.

vaping i only tried friends. really don't care for it. less so knowing people that have had their lungs collapse from vaping.

that might as well say price increase. the market for ps5 and xbox caused prices to increase in other countries and i'm pretty sure they increased in canada as well. xbox even increased them by like $100 in the states. sony just hasn't gotten to that point yet in the states. the market is tariffs.

i've owned the game for years since i got it on sale for like $10 or something. still never played it. looked pretty cool though and have watched some of the early speedruns for it. but been years so really don't remember anything on it. i probably should start that up soon. i've played a few roguelikes but not sure if i actually bothered to finish one. i mean there's moonlighter i beat and some decks in balatro i guess.

Just you wait till Iris(from Companion) is a real thing. They already do have dolls. Wouldn't surprise me if they already had an AI doll out there.

i just started it the other day and went high elf. wanted to do more of a magic build and figure that would force me to. i forget what i ran the first time i played but one of the warrior classes.

i've only listened to their first 2 albums and loved them. never did checkout their others. guess i probably should.

It's so funny because there's such an obvious solution. Just have separate online modes for people who want to play the 3 lap tracks. Instead, Nintendo saw that a lot of people (especially in higher ELO lobbies) were picking random because it was the only way to guarantee a 3 lap track and said nope fuck you

been saying this since the reveal when i figured online would just be the straight line crap. like i know whenever i do get around to buying a switch 2 i'll end up buying it but i really hope they fix it before then. but it's nintendo so they won't and will keep making horrible decisions like this.

i seen an article title earlier about it so i watched the episode just to see. the finale was a month ago so dunno why it's just now getting traction.

but it's legit just another future flash forward so it's not canon in any way. i'm pretty sure i remember an old one they did with them living in a futuristic house and stuff. but yea i know a few of them have had bart being a bum in the future and lisa like president or something.

the show has been confirmed for 3 more seasons to bring it to 40. i'm hoping that's where they end it. i could have sworn it ended back like 10-15 years ago and just found out like 5 years ago that it's still going.

came out in 1990(91 in the states) and yea it's well known as a battery hot eating 6 AA batteries in like 2 hours. but did color way before nintendo. 8 bit but looked better than gameboy games and could play master system games on it.

but think a lot of it was nostalgia cause a friend had it and i never did and i remember it looked much better but just watched a vid on sonic 2 and yea you can tell it's just good 8 bit graphics and doesn't look like the genesis version like i remember but still think it's cool for a color portable system ahead of it's time.

they had 2 kinds when i got them. think verde was the one i liked. the other one i didn't care much for but i could eat. i was definitely surprised with the heat. i love hot stuff but like flaming hot cheetos and stuff is usually as hot as stuff in the stores get but these definitely have a lot more kick than those. i have found daves insanity in stores and that's probably the hottest thing the average stores will carry.

depends on the game but usually i get hooked on 1 and play that the majority of the time. like i started mario wonder awhile ago and got halfway through it. then started up mario and luigi brothership and only played wonder 1 time during the like 50 hours or whatever i spent on brothership. after i beat brothership then went back and finished wonder.

usually i'll do like a game on ps5 and then one on switch or switch out one for something on pc. usually the switch i just play in bed before falling asleep. like i started up the castlevania DS collection and like an hour into dawn of sorrow and haven't played in a few days. did just go through and beat AC black flag and the DLC and just started up rogue since it seems like that's related enough and supposed to be short so figured i'd just beat the collection.

months ago i started metroid prime remaster but never really got into it and i'm only like an hour or 2 into that. then on ps5 i was playing balatro a bit when that came out free on PS+ but haven't touched that in a few weeks now but do plan to play that some more. helps to have a more casual game to play at times.

it would look good for a ps4 game. ps5 it's not great looking but isn't bad or anything. like if this was on the switch 2 it would look good for that. which is funny since it's not announced for that.

you should add in the original price when the game launched. i know lots of games back then were $50-80. so i guess it would also be nice to have the inflation price or what that would be today as well.

it looks better than the initial reveal. was iffy on it and now yea it just looks like a reskinned odyssey. definitely same engine and graphics. legit could have just released this on the switch 1. switch 2 will run it better of course but yea graphics are pretty meh on it. and yes i know nintendo doesn't care about graphics but why they could make it look better than an 8 year old game on an inferior system at least. just seems like this game has probably be finished for a couple years but wanted to save it for the switch 2 since there's no other system seller in year 1 besides MK if you wanna count that.

DDG sold out and is pretty trash compared to what it used to be. i just use google since it's what i been used to for like 2 decades. i just want one built into the search bar. i'm not gonna go to a website and then do my search every time i want to look something up.

they aren't hacked as far as i know. people dump their own legit rom to it and the mig switch is just that. a switcher. so instead of having to carry a case of 10 games. you can just have them all on the mig and not need to switch it.

now obviously the people doing it with roms they found online are dumb since nintendo detects if the same serial is used on multiple consoles. so it seems more like a false positive but then nintendo says you can't use any unauthorized stuff anyways so it's irrelevant.

i mean i'm sure people will probably buy like 10 half price and then throw them on ebay to make $100+ profit. so even buying it off ebay they could just randomly brick your system in a few months and you'd have no idea why.

didn't know that they cost nintendo $410. everyone was saying they were selling them for a loss. probably includes labor and shipping costs into that $410. so they're making at least $40 off the console. a bunch off mario kart and all their games and accessories cause no way a set of these new joycons cost them close to $95.

great game. not everyone's thing but if it interests you i'd get it. i beat that and the prequel before the storm and both were great. never played the 2nd game or colors but i think the 2nd one was free on ps+ so i'll eventually play it.

honestly with this board i'm surprised no is at almost 60%. not surprised with 18% thinking it's already started.

if it starts it won't start with the USA. would take russia or someone launching a nuke to start it.

Update: Someone sent mom.a link to a site where you can see who got arrested and for what. Said he was taken in and charged with arson, property damage over $200, and explosives. Nothing exploded and I hadn't heard of anything like that. I wonder if they're counting his jug of gasoline as an explosive or if he had something more than we realized.

probably just the gas can. but uh only property damage over $200? you'd think they'd have higher amounts than that. camper and shed burning down has to be over $10k. plus the gas on the house i'd be pushing to get him charged with attempted murder even if he stopped but that's still like premeditated murder at least.

B3 was pretty great gameplay wise. more i see on B4 the less i wanna buy it at launch. i carried a friend through like half of 3. he wants to play 4 at launch but the more i see the less i wanna buy it. especially with them having 2 characters and 6 areas in day 1 dlc have charging the price of a brand new game to get the rest of the game. i'll just wait like a year for it to be $10 on pc with everything.

i didn't mind lono. the games suck in general but she didn't but me. i voted clemont. i think all of them are fine but he's probably the most annoying of the bunch to me.

brian was great before he died. but like the last decade or so family guy has sucked.

I think it's terminal even if there are fair and free elections in 2028 and Democrats win because the cat is out of the bag that the system is broken and the next guy can just abuse it the same. Reform is obviously not possible because of the requirements for bipartisan support to amend the constitution. So you basically just have to wait for the collapse, whenever that is, and hope the replacement isn't some kind of authoritarian shit hole.

most people have always known that. it's why other smarter countries don't listen to the news or politicians. no idea why america is such sheep for it. no wonder so many people think our country is a joke now.

Metroid Prime 4 looks like it could be good, but I have the original Switch stashed somewhere for that.

pretty much this. prime 4 and anything i actually want to play is coming to switch 1. DK i'm not sold on and want to wait for reviews months after it comes out to see if it's actually worth it. big new zelda is most likely what gets me to get one. i can see another game in the LA/EoW style come out first that won't be enough for me to get. but a 3d one will get me to. still hoping for a ground up remake of OoT or something to happen or one to at least bring back that style more so than just the BotW/TotK style again. i'd like a more tradition one finally. smash bros i doubt we see for a few years but i bought the original switch to get the smash bros edition but consoles never really do special editions much anymore.

one thing i don't get yet is where is hank living now? i thought he moved back into his old house but the black guy is in the fathers day clip and it didn't show him move. it's been forever since i watched it. so is that his house or just a different house? looks similar to me but only watched it on tv and it's been like 15+ years since i watched an episode.

they been fine but i'm only in like 3. then i get added into random ones either by mistake or spam or some crap and i just leave those. funny this topic came up cause yesterday my phone said i was in a group chat from last year but never had anything come up. no messages in it or anything but it randomly was 2nd in my text list. random numbers i don't know so guessing somebody created it and then realized they screwed up whoever number mine was supposed to be so never said anything in it and then made a new group chat. but just weird it randomly alerted me to it like that after like 9 months. i just left it so oh well.

i been meaning to rewatch it now that it's all dubbed. i watched it 11 years ago. skipped all the filler and think i might have started skipping a lot of the partial filler eps in shippuden to make it go faster. i loved the original but shippuden was a mess. plus like halfway through shippuden they didn't dub it anymore and i watched the rest subbed but mostly while i was playing destiny so i was barely paying attention to naruto. just couldn't be bothered but i was like 500 eps into the 720 so i kept going just to get it over with.

so i need to give it a proper rewatch. been trying to get into one piece but i'm like 80 eps in and still haven't gotten that interested in it. naruto i at least did enjoy for awhile. just probably need to break it up a bit instead of trying to binge all 400 or whatever canon eps. definitely could use a kai version to it and i expected naruto to be it over one piece which i still find a bit weird since the anime is still ongoing although it will finally end sometime soon.

yes but don't have the patience for it and don't want to think 10 moves ahead for all the different possibilities. i do enjoy chess puzzles. but those generally have 1 correct outcome so easier to figure out then playing with a real player.

AC pretty easy and that was just the first game i never finished and then the ezio trilogy i beat. i got like 5 hours into AC3 back when it came out and dropped it cause the game just holds your hand the whole time and it was so damn slow.

took me like 12? 13? years to finally play AC again and i been playing black flag and having fun with it although it's definitely a lot different than the ezio trilogy i put so much time into. i'm close to finishing it and then plan to play the DLC and rogue since i have the collection.

far cry i started 6? maybe 5? only played it like an hour or 2 and never went back to it. rabbids i've only played with mario and rabbids but beat both of those games and loved them. price of persia i beat the trilogy on ps2. rayman i've beat a couple of the games.
