Iono is very irritating.

People are going to have to explain why they're voting for Wattson to me. He's just way too "not a thing" for me to get why they would even care about him at all.

You may have answered your own question. People maybe just find the others more interesting or think the others stand out more.

Sometimes something/someone could be considered "worst" at something and still not be "bad"

As a character probably Clemont for me, as a gym leader its LT Surge by miles.

Yeah, but Iono is annoying AF so she should be automatically worse than "exists." And if you include the cartoon then Clemont also makes sense as an option. Wattson is just white noise, nowhere enough to actually be a real choice here.

I cannot stand Iono. Shes cringey as hell.

Yup, it's that for me. I can't even remember him so screw him.

Iono is fine with me. I don't mind the influencer thing and don't find it annoying like others.

Pokemon has plenty of bad characters and character designs, but none so horrible as Iono. I also don't get Wattson hate. He's just a cool old dude. Even if you actually like Iono, Clemont still looks dumb. Idk anything else about him tho.

I cannot think of a worse character in the games.

I'd rather spend a day trading with Mindy than put up with her for a minute.

I believe she is pretty much considered to be the most hated gym leader across all games.

Lots of people hate them. Or don't know what they are.

I didn't until I played SV, and wondered why Iono was so weird and awful.

I think it's one of those age demographics things. The polls aren't done on Youtube, where the kids into VTubers congregate, and are generally done on forums, where the average age is slightly higher and thus VTubers are less of a thing. Sure there people of all ages that like them, but there is definitely an enjoyment shift in the same way that all "for kids" media has.

His team in RS is terrible. Repeats and no Hoenn Pokemon.

I think the problem is that the way media portrays streamers is not what most streamers are. I don't know that I've ever seen a streamer character not be annoying af.

I never played the game she was in, but I googled all of the trainers. As soon as I saw she was a streamer, I voted her. And then I looked up her dialogue and it's just as cringey and obnoxious as I expected.

"Ladies aaand gentlemens! It's time for the Iono Zone!"
"Hey, hey, heyyy!"
"Your eyeballs are MINEcaught in my Electroweb! Whosawhatsit? Iono! I'm the Gym Leader here! 'Ello, 'ello, hola! Ciao and bonjour!"

"Anywho, challenger! Thanks for coming out to the Levincia Gym to see me!"
"I'm super happy you're here, but I'm also a bit of a celeb, ya know? I'm all kiiinds of busy!"
"So I can't collab with you unless I know you can bring in those sweet, sweet viewer numb Er, I mean, I gotta make sure you can bring some real passion to my stream! Nyohoho!"

Always forget that his RS version exists, his Emerald version is so much better.

I also don't think Iono is all that bad... I kinda like her

I guess my vote is for Volkner by default as I never played the Sinnoh games.

For the others, I guess Clemont is the least interesting though.

i didn't mind lono. the games suck in general but she didn't but me. i voted clemont. i think all of them are fine but he's probably the most annoying of the bunch to me.
