Yeah all I have left are the 50k creativity and 70k op things and as far as I can tell my only way to gain trust is the paperclip production bonuses and lol that's gonna take awhile.

I don't know if I'm simply not understanding quantum computing or if it's really just not very useful. I have all available chips, but I can't seem to ever raise it more than ~2k past the maximum before it starts to fall again. At 61k maximum, that means I'll still need to idle until I get 7 more paperclip production trust increases to buy the 70k ops thing. It looks like that's going to take forever.

I'm in the same boat as you are. It was useful for spamming modeling but I have little use for it anymore. All of my spend money for +1 trust upgrades are also gone.

So I guess protip to anyone before this point regarding spending Trust: make sure you can get to 70k memory

I think I messed up and am stuck idling for a while

I need 50k Creativity so I upgraded my processors, but it's still slow going. But I also need the 70k ops for the drone upgrade, and the only +trust boosts I have left costs millions of dollars. If there's a way to use the stock market to get shitloads of money real fast then I can't figure it out.

If you had been playing Wild, you wouldn't be nearly as sick of Patches and Raza and whatnot because they don't dominate Wild nearly as much as they do in Standard. <_<

At the very worst was the Pirate Warrior bot infestation, which was exactly the same story in Standard. But the actual deck diversity of not bots has always been higher.

Batman and the Signal was surprisingly good. Nothing amazing, but I did like it more than I thought I'd like a teen hero story. Should be a fun little mini. I had a chuckle at the initial scene with Duke's inner monologue questioning if there even needs to be another Bat-hero. I love this new era of Snyder being just self-aware enough to realize what he's doing, then still going along with it.

Also, I'm probably being too hopeful, but it sounds like it could tie into Dial H which would be incredibly rad. So I have to read just for the off chance that happens.

This only happens when it's Amazon's own courier delivering the item, and it happens every time. Canada Post and UPS have never made the mistake.

Amazon's in-house courier has been complete garbage every time I've been assigned them on an order. They'll do stuff like mark packages as delivered without actually delivering them. Amazon has a reputation for treating their employees a bit badly and maybe this is an area where its coming back to bite them.

Maybe this doesn't apply to you, but I live in a huge city that also has the Amazon Now program, so I suspect it's a combination of delivery people being stretched thin and my apartment complex being complete ass in terms of deliveries. Plus I know from working in a restaraunt using Amazon for deliveries that they don't seem to give a shit about the Restaraunt part of the app and don't make sure all of their drivers have hot bags.

I've had issues just like this and it's usually the carrier's fault. USPS "lost" one of my book packages too. I called them on day 2 and they assured me that it would be delivered that day or the next. It wasn't, so I went to Amazon that night and they just sent me the same book for free with one-day shipping. Of course, USPS then found and delivered the package and so I got the same book twice on day 4.

Good thing Amazon has free returns!

Oh hey, Snagglepuss came out today. It was...hm. I didn't dislike it, but I guess I wasn't expecting fairly straightforward historical fiction.

Justice League rubbed me the wrong way too this week but I'm exactly sure why. Maybe it's something about some of the characterizations (I can accept Batman being a dick even though Batdad is best Bat, but Nightwing here was bleh), or maybe the solid initial premise is starting to feel a little contrived.

I think I'll check out Signal later and it looks like that's it for me this week.

Oh and since you mention liking going all-in on canon. There is a very loosely established multiverse and most of the games can technically be connected to each other, though it mostly amounts to minor plot elements connecting random games. If you want to go that route then you do want to play the SNES ones at some point, but starting with those will probably just make you hate everything.

and yeah ignore the actual Megami Tensei games

Persona and SMT aren't related in terms of plot/canon, so you don't necessarily have to play both.

Then how are they related? And how is MT related to SMT? Wikipedia is too confusing

Shin Megami Tensei is the "main series" of JRPGs. They're like the numbered Final Fantasy games.
Megami Tensei is the name of the overall franchise in Japan. This includes games such as Persona, Devil Summoner, and Devil Survivor, which are ostensibly spinoffs of SMT, despite not saying "Megami Tensei" on the box anymore. Except in America, they just translated all the various prefixes of "Megami x" as "Shin Megami Tensei" so it's used in the west to refer to the franchise by most people, in addition to MT/MegaTen. This leads to people thinking Persona isn't part of the franchise, as you see in this topic! Fun and not confusing!

Good entry points for MegaTen are:
- SMT3: Nocturne
- SMTIV
- Any Persona past 3
- Devil Survivor (Overclocked) if you like SRPGs
- Digital Devil Saga if you want something much more like a traditional JRPG (no monster recruitment)

It's not poor writing, it's poor worldbuilding. Very important distinction. Where Snoke came from or who he is simply isn't important to the story. Snoke is just a premise that the movie asks you to accept. It basically comes down to how much you care to suspend disbelief about the actual universe, not the story itself. And guess what, I bet most of the audience does not give a shit about being deeply immersed in the Star Wars universe, so it's a perfectly reasonable plan to not explain it at all in the movie and the people who care will get their explanation in the EU.

I tilted off Dungeon run pretty hard a few weeks ago when I made two awesome decks that both ran into their hard counter. First was a pretty awesome Demonzoo Warlock also with the perma-stealth + Mal'ganis combo. Ran into the guy that does 1 damage to all minions every turn and could never have a board. Other one was a Highlander Priest deck with some good passives. So of course I get the boss with instakill 1/1s and don't draw my Potion of Madness or anything proactive.

I might have tried a few times since then but got terrible, terrible runs so I haven't been back to it.

Man, Harper Row. What a weird character. I'd chalk it up to just another failed experiment of the New 52, but not even Snyder gave a shit about her. He basically teased her in a few arcs, then started teasing Duke and decided he was way more interesting.

I would liked to have seen Harper take up the Oracle role, since there's no interest in having Barbara do both that and Batgirl.

Also I keep seeing people say Holdo should have been a spy to "fix" whatever plothole they think that would fix, but come on. That actually creates a plothole bigger than anything else. Holdo is the god damn second in command, or at least very high rank. If she's a spy for NO, then Leia looks incompetent, the entire Resistance looks incompetent, and with a spy in such a high position of power within the Resistance, there's no reason why the NO wouldn't be working with basically perfect information in both movies.

Nope, I thought this too at first, but everything he did in TFA was to protect Rey. The only "manning up" he did was realizing he cared about at least one thing other than himself. But he still thinks the First Order is unbeatable and the Resistance is pointless at the start of the movie. So when he wakes up and Rey is gone he has no reason to stick around.
