Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Between all the other big games that came out this year I played (Zelda, Stormblood, Mario, P5, Nier) and me slowly going through Witcher 3 as well, just no time to add another open world adventure to the backlog. And Xenoblade 2 is coming soon so it's even less likely.

Oh and Uncharted: Lost Legacy, which I only played for two hours before it took a backseat to other things.

Shallan definitely suffers at times from Sanderson thinking his dialogue is WAY more clever than it actually is. His banter needs some work. She's also racist as hell, but at least that part seems like an intentional arc. She's solid and I like her overall, but she's not one of my favorites.

My favorite part about Sadeas is how the Kalinar POV in Book 1 hypes him up without even being there. You see how appalling it is for the bridge crew, but you're led to believe they're all that bad until you get snippets from other perspectives. No, it's just Saldeas's that's absolutely despicable, and he's been using it to great profit. It's horrible, and ruthless, and perfect. But more than that, he's the perfect foil to Dalinar, which made the thing with Adolin even more insane. Really enjoyed him.

Speaking of villains, I have high hopes for Taravangian, even if mostly because I'm itching to see more of that person.

TopicI didn't tip my delivery driver just now
HeroDelTiempo17
10/29/17 11:03:46 AM

Special instructions are one thing, but people saying they should be calling on every order are ridiculous. That's gonna add 1-2 minutes per delivery, which doesn't sound like a lot but if you have 5 orders, last guy's order is now 10 minutes late. This guy fucked up and sounds like he doesn't care (or just forgot) but also shit does happen. I've been stiffed/yelled at more times for being slightly late than not calling, so I'm in any sort of hurry, guy who wants a call is probably going to deal with a knock or two before I go for the phone.

But as you pointed out yourself, real reason not to tip for bad service is that he'll just think you're an asshole. When I got a 0 tip I usually have no idea if the person is just a jerk or if I actually messed something up. Writing a note on the receipt or calling to complain is much more effective. You still look like an asshole, and maybe they still dont give a shit, but they can actually fix the issue or chew out the employee. With feedback, no tipping is fine (UNLESS it's tipshare, unlikely for delivery) but without you're just saying you were slightly inconvenienced but don't actually care that much.

Personal anecdote, feel free to ignore, but when I worked delivery, there was a regular customer who would always get a Dr Pepper with ice in a separate cup, plus some other custom order. Every delivery driver there ended up memorizing her ordering ticks and address so that the order went well. This wasn't for the tip, because she would only tip small amounts randomly when it was convenient for her. But if anything was wrong, she'd call to complain and waste everyone's time. No one liked her but we got her weird orders right most of the time because the squeaky wheel gets the grease in the service industry.

This might be a physical/digital thing because it's baffling to me. I also don't think you should have to memorize the cards you and your opponent played! Other games have graveyards you are allowed to look at whenever you want. Hearthstone doesn't. You have a play history but it's not comprehensive. The UI essentially marks each card for both players. So you get these little memory puzzles as a byproduct of having simpler design, which seems like a weird consequence. It increases skill, but for me it doesn't do it in a particularly interesting or fun way. The optimal way to be competitive is to take extensive notes, be really good at the memory game, or use a deck tracker.

On a related note, the game is a little bit inconsistent with revealed information. Handbuff effects actually are tracked while in the hand, but generated cards are not. The Death Knight card that steals a minion from the deck reveals what it generated, but other cards do not. Generated cards say "created by" when played, except secrets which have to be revealed first. I'd rather they track all this stuff the same way.

I like being able to track things like "he has a babbling book spell, a Murloc and Dragon from Curator, and a reduced cost spell from Glyph," bur I think it's incredibly silly you can track individual cards using their positions in your opponent's hand.

Pls give me the ability to shuffle my hand just like in a real card game.

Lancer? Prepare for Impulse Drive.

Also some tips for leveling: try to get into a free company (guild). Most of them constantly have a buff up that gives a boost to EXP and there's usually a few shouting open recruitment in city centers. You can also eat food for another small boost (I think fresh water from tradecraft merchants is cheapest). And if anyone here is on Behemoth they can refer you and get you a head gear that boost EXP until level 25.
