Yeah, to my mistake I referenced that scene. I mistakenly believed that people bitching and complaining about FF7s remake and how they ruined it would have played the original.

Night shifts only work if you have a good support team there with you. I've done 2 types of night shifts. I worked security pulling 14-16 hour nights, and I worked retail. Management-wise they were the same. Assholes with more power than they deserve, and with retail, we had 4 of them all wanting things done in different ways. Security I only had to get my schedule from the guy and that was the limitation to our interactions. What made him an asshole is that he actually got fired from that job for overworking his employees. During the stint of a single month I worked 29/30 days, with 1 day off in the middle, pulling 14-16 hour nights.

I loved working security overnights, as most of the time I was working power service stations that only needed us there for write-off reasons. We were miles outside the city limits in the middle of the woods so I would just park my car, take a nap and play playstation on a portable dvd player and generator. But mentally I hated it because I very rarely had a day off.

So let me rephrase and say the base story shouldn't be touched in any remake to a game. You can expand on things, but keep the general story the same.

I'm well aware of that. The point is that its fine to change around things and add side missions, but keep the base story the same. If Aerith doesn't die when she's supposed to, that takes a lot of motivation away from the party to hunt down Sephiroth.

I don't think the concern was with the environments.... I think it had to do with straying away from the original story.

I was more or less saying that he was a 3rd option, not that he ran third party. Obviously we know that he was voted out by his own party, but had he ran as a third party it would have been interesting to see what the turn out would have been. Instead he stated his support for Hilary, which meant fuck all.

Thing is, the Switch itself is a fairly powerful machine for something as simple as Pokemon. I mean it was running Mario Odyssey with very little issues and that was a far more intensive game than Scarlet. Truth be told by now Gen 10 should look like Pokemon New Snap. But GF will continue to push out subpar games, while fan hacks continue to get better and better.

So you have someone who is the well known son of one of Canadas most respected Prime Ministers assuming he'll be just like his father, which clearly isn't the case.

But on a side note, I was watching the news the other day, and they actually announced that Putin had an 88% approval vote for him to remain as the head of Russia. Obviously its bullshit, that or people are afraid of voting otherwise for fear of dying. Probably the later.

As a Canadian I can't tell you how to vote. But surely there has to be a decent 3rd party.

Too demanding for other systems... that's a good one. Nintendo will never do that. They choose to be family friendly, knowing the market value of lower-mid class households. And in todays modern society, it won't stop hacking, if anything it will encourage it more, if only to prove a point.

I got one for Christmas, but because its currently 1 degree out and snowing, I'm going to wait until May to put it on. I live in a relatively safe province so most of the time I don't have to deal with idiots. I will say that my first transition to having a backup cam was a game changer.

What's with this modern trend of phones having protruding cameras? It makes some of them uncomfortable to hold.

I don't remember my first MMO. Either Ragnarok Online private server, FF11, Runescape or a weird korean MMO from like 2010.

I was riding a high, and I know anyone would feel the same after defeating what is considered the hardest boss in ER. Did I beat her by myself without help? No. I did not.

But I'm not 20 years old with the reflexes of a youngster anymore. I'm nearing 40, so for me to actually beat a hard boss, your god damn right I'll be happy about it. As I would expect anyone to be, and I would be just as supportive if anyone came in and said they beat Sephiroth in KH2 on their 3rd attempt. So take your holier than thou attitude elsewhere.

I was more or less just being happy that I killed her. Nothing more or less about it. Me beating her on my 4th try compared to the 80+ attempts I had against Radagon/Elden Beast before I even realized that Pearldrake talisman +1 existed.

Well, you used a S+++ tier weapon and the absolute uncontested best summon in the game (which also would've been using that weapon), in a series where bosses AI notoriously can't really handle multiple targets (though to be fair, Malenia's lifesteal mitigates this a bit), so yeah she'll definitely be a lot easier than most people who think she's hard say. Try her again 1v1 and see how many times you get your shit rocked.

I wouldn't say its uncontested. I've been using Tiche a lot lately and if I'm being honest here, I prefer it to Mimic Tear. Tear is great if you have a specific weakness your trying to exploit, but Tiche avoids nearly all damage, hits like a truck and drains bosses fast.

Going to be honest though, the journey to get to her? I died SO MANY TIMES.

My first time getting to her was in New Game+. Downed her in 4 tries. This isn't a bragging topic, as she destroyed me the first time I finished the cutscene. Rushed me before I could even summon my spirit, but she gets absolutely wrecked by Mohgs Sacred Spear + Mimic Tear+10. It's ability just drains her life faster than she has time to attack, and since most of her attention is on the spirit, I was able to freely use it on her.

The only thing is that I had to quickly equip a shield for the start of her 2nd phase. But past that, I've had more trouble with Elden Beast.

No, but it doesn't help. There are plenty of other factors, but its only recently that mangaka have been allowed to take a break for health reasons, as things like that back in the 90s/early 2000s it really wasn't a thing. If you didn't regularly publish, your work wouldn't get featured. So, it wouldn't surprise me if they were neglecting their personal health at the same time.

A combination of being overworked and neglecting health can lead into issues.

The early Medal of Honor games. They blew COD out of the water. And yes, technically they are an EA franchise.

If you know anything about Japanese businesses, they work their employees to the bone. There's a reason people say that make sure you work for yourself if you ever decide to settle down in Japan, as there is no 40 hour work week in Japan. Yes, the advertise it, but many people choose to work a lot more hours.

136 is light. I've recently learned that in the Asian continent that people say that 136 is normal weight. But to most of the world that's on the light side. And before you argue, I'm not American.

My first computer I believe was a DOS computer, we then upgraded to a Windows 3.1 computer shortly after that. But my favourite of the bunch was a Pentium 3 with only 3 gigabytes of hard drive space. What was so special about that is that I managed to nearly brick the entire thing by installing Diablo 2: LOD on it. For those that don't know D2 and its expansion Lord of Destruction take up 2.2 gb of space, so the remaining space in the machine was less than .4gb after we include the OS. Combined with 56k internet?

The first time we got dsl was magical. Little side note, dad did manage to brick one of our computers at one point. They didn't have built in protection like they do with modern systems. So dad was cleaning up the computer trying to make it run smoother. Key note that my dad knows near to nothing about computers. So he saw 11,000 files in the windows folder and deleted the entire thing. Yeah.... took a while to get everything back.

probably. I'd have to lose a few lbs, but I was a 2nd dan in TKD in my late teens, and practiced submission style wrestling so I do have some knowledge on how to defend myself.

another one I have strangely enough is that Buldak noodles taste like ass. I love spicy food, but that's just heat for the sake of being heat. At least with Shin Ramyun Red there is some sort of pleasant taste to them.

Naruto vs Pain. That said my favourite fight in the entire series is probably Shino vs Kankuro. It's an extremely simple fight that doesn't last too long, but something about it is just so enjoyable to watch.

I don't particularly like Chicken Wings or Chicken Thighs. A chicken breast can be just as tasty with the right preparation. Will it be as moist? Probably not. But any preparation that can be done with Thighs/Wings can be done with white meat.

I also think that Chicken Hearts are absolutely delicious, while Guacamole and Salmon are not that tasty. But that more or less has to do with specific tastebuds.

If anything, an FF9 remake would probably lean into the Dragon Ball comparisons by making Zidane's Trance mode have spiked-up hair.

Never was a fan of Zidanes trance mode. Largely I thought it was useless outside of really small uses and slightly higher damage. I wish they would rework specifically his, as the others seem to be fine.

I've always liked the idea of chucking them off the roof of the courthouse. Gravity doesn't cost a thing.

I also believe in the death penalty if there is no doubt that you are guilty. If there a multiple credible eyewitnesses and corroborating evidence you commited the crime, you don't get to take up space any more.

Gravity doesn't cost a thing, but cleanup does. Cleanup crew would cost more than even lethal injection.

I don't know if its far right, but I believe the death penalty has to be reformed in some way. Right now, the death penalty allows up to 30 extra years in jail to exhaust all evidence. Now, I'm for that if we don't know if the person did it. But if you have someone committing mass murder, and you caught them in the act, there really shouldn't be any point where you have people coming in to "interview" them for some book of "why I did what I did". It should be short and swift. And for those individuals it wouldn't be humane.

It depends on your definition. Mentally, I am way better than I was 4 years ago. Physically, I'm slowly getting back there, but I went through 2 stints of Cancer in those 4 years. Thankfully been Cancer free for about a year after 3 months of Chemo.

Reminds me of my experience with Suikoden 4. I stopped playing it for a couple months and didn't have a clue where I was when I picked it back up again, and for those who have never played the game, right after the start of the story the entire world opens up, and there is no diary system so your exploring everything to figure out where to go next.

I'm the on-call this weekend, so occasionally I get woken up by companies who don't know to call in the morning.

It's the sole reason my family has decided to not rent an Air B&B property when they go on their vacation. AirBnB needs to have strict rules when it comes to their service. At no point should the home owner return to their property without prior notice. The rules should be simple and to the point: No wearing shoes in the house, don't destroy the house, and do a basic tidying up before you leave. And by basic tiding up I just mean don't be a slob. Put your trash in the garbage before you go, and put the dishes in the dishwasher if there is one. You don't need to take out the trash, you don't need to run the dishwasher, that will be the job of the maid service.

And for gods sake lower the cleaning cost to something reasonable, like 200 bucks.

I only played alone In the dark cause some magazine I bought came with a disc with several games to play on PC. Oddly I remember a Duke nukem game that was a side scroller... dunno if that was legit but it was there.

It's an old game for the Turbo Grafx 16, also came out for a variety of other systems, including Arcade.

It depends on what they are going to do with it, or where its from. I'll never order sauce from my local Dominoes just because its rancid. If anything I'll order Garlic Fingers, which is just cheese, garlic butter and bacon.

I've said it for a very long time. If there was ever a time to bring back the Laguna scenarios from 8, THIS IS IT. You have a princess who is trying to regain faith with her kingdom, so you could build up her character in the background doing odd side quests, protecting outpost towns, gaining their favor. So the eventual epilogue would not only feel better, but it would mean so much more. Keep her character away from the main party for a good 2/3rds of the game and bring her in for the final 1/3.

Respectfully, I wish they would have just given the project to the people who did that insanely good UE5 remake.

As much as I hate Final Fantasy 12, it provided me with my favourite temporary character in the entire franchise, Reddas. He was able to attack extremely fast, and helped me out a ton. Sadly it was only for a short period of time, but I would literally rather kill off Vaan and Penelo to keep him in the party for the entire game.
