of their games to other systems? Patches and lawsuits only temporarily fix things but the pirates will just keep coming back.

Could you imagine a Mario, Samus, Smash, Pokemon, or Zelda game that looks like Cyberpunk 2077 fully maxed on PC or better?

That wouldn't prevent pirating done via hacking the Switch 2 itself to run pirated games. It would only prevent emulating them on other platforms, which usually isn't a huge concern until a bit later into the console's lifespan, by which point PCs would likely have caught up in power anyway.

The piracy I was referring to was emulation on to other systems. Gamefaqs topic titles allow basically no text.

I prefer the 3d models to 2d. But it is long overdue for a step up.

Yeah this will never happen. PC will always be 3 steps ahead of consoles and it should with those fucking $1k+ GPUs.

It was due for a step up with the first 3D game, tbh.

I think giving up on a hybrid system that has sold them 140+ million to stop potential emulation on PC and Android done by a handful of people would be a pretty stupid move.

Too demanding for other systems... that's a good one. Nintendo will never do that. They choose to be family friendly, knowing the market value of lower-mid class households. And in todays modern society, it won't stop hacking, if anything it will encourage it more, if only to prove a point.

Yep, whereas piracy using a hacked PS3 to play pirated games has been possible since quite early in the PS3's lifespan. It only prevented emulation - including emulation by later Sony consoles for BC purposes.

Gamefreak would probably still deliver a rushed and poorly optimized Pokemon game for gen 10 because the power of the console doesn't matter when the real problem is the lack of time and manpower

Trust me, they can't do a what if scenario. Their systems get hacked within a few months of launching.

Thing is, the Switch itself is a fairly powerful machine for something as simple as Pokemon. I mean it was running Mario Odyssey with very little issues and that was a far more intensive game than Scarlet. Truth be told by now Gen 10 should look like Pokemon New Snap. But GF will continue to push out subpar games, while fan hacks continue to get better and better.

Its all but confirmed to be being the Tegra T239 which would put it on-par with the PS4 Pro/Xbox One X at best. Realistically first party output would be on the graphical level of Luigis Mansion 3 but at 4K through DLSS.

I honestly don't care about specs that much. I'm not usually one of those "graphics don't matter" people, but....... I really would rather a game look a a PS2/Xbox/gamecube game, but have incredible gameplay and volumes of content, than look great with shallow gameplay and content.

It may be hard to do, due to it being a portable system. Plus it'll likely be based on ARM for backwards compatibility so that will make it hard to make it hard to emulate as well.

I speculate by the end of 10th gen/start of 11th, exclusives as we know them won't be a thing. Nintendo will go full on subscription service with their library on platforms like PC and others. Will probably still keep doing their own hardware too, but they wont stay exclusive. Maybe their own hardware will be the only place you can own individual games, while everywhere else you have to pay for the monthly service.

If Nintendo ever goes multiplatform they'll most likely partner with Apple.

People already know what SoC it'll most likely use and it's still comparatively a lot less capable than current consoles. The only ace up its sleeve is DLSS capabilities.

People are still holding on to this fantasy that they'll be able to get new Mario and Zelda games on top of the line hardware? The Switch was crazy successful. Nintendo's going to stick to what works for them and prioritize portability and keeping the cost down instead of trying to compete on hardware specs.
