Sushi really isn't good. I love seafood but sushi has to be the most overrated food currently in existence. It's one of those things that's tolerable as long as you have the right sauce that people get with their friends to feel like they're on Fear Factor or some shit, then brag to everyone for a week about how they ate sushi or like sushi in general.

Its fine to not like sushi, but its pretty arrogant to think that everybody else is lying about liking it.

Yeah it just sounds like they dont get it and thats fine, but saying its something to brag about just sounds as if they just eat potato chips or something. Most people dont eat something for bragging rights. Everyone in my country ears this and I can promise you its not some scam.

Oh I got one. Pizza is THE American food. Our version is different enough from Italian and you are hard pressed to find an American that doesn't like it. There is enough variety there is almost a version for anyone's tastes.

Also on that note they should quit with the stereotype fried chicken is a black thing. Everyone not vegan loves fried chicken. I've seen people not eat it because it's unhealthy but never heard them say it tastes bad.

Actually knew a girl dating my brother who was vegetarian. My grandma cooked fried chicken one night and it broke her. I caught her in the middle of the night scarfing down a few pieces. When she noticed me she just said fried chicken was her weakness.

-All cheese tastes the same to me, cheddar, mozzarella, american, swiss, all taste the same to me, never had spicy cheese
-ketchup, mustard are amazing and belong on all meat besides steak, mayo is gross and an abomination

See this is why I think I'm a picky eater. I can definitely pick up on various tastes. If you can put onion in my food and I don't notice you didn't use much or you are masterful.

I hate people don't get me as a picky eater. I will try new foods but I'd rather do it home. I got a bad gag reflex and if I'm gonna hurl I'd rather do it at home.

Also hate it when I tell someone I'm probably not gonna like something but they insist I try it and end up not liking it and they get upset about it. Just cause I haven't tried a food I can usually tell ya if I'm not gonna like it based on what's in it.

That sushi looks gross.

Scrambled eggs are best when prepared to what would be considered overcooked by most people/chefs. I like when it has a rubbery texture and even has some browning.

I enjoy the white part of the watermelon rind.

Meatloaf is gross.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. I've seen packages labeled everywhere from 50% to 99% and all of them are disgusting.

Yeah I hate that. My mom is a good cook so I can assure you I've tried it when it was good. She only screws up if it's her first time making a dish.

I don't particularly like Chicken Wings or Chicken Thighs. A chicken breast can be just as tasty with the right preparation. Will it be as moist? Probably not. But any preparation that can be done with Thighs/Wings can be done with white meat.

I also think that Chicken Hearts are absolutely delicious, while Guacamole and Salmon are not that tasty. But that more or less has to do with specific tastebuds.

If it's not a food allergy or for health reasons, I don't understand people being so picky about food. Most things taste pretty great.

In fairness, most people are more picky than they realise.

Ive seen plenty of people who claim they eat everything balk at balut, century eggs, chicken feet, fermented shrimp paste, etc.

another one I have strangely enough is that Buldak noodles taste like ass. I love spicy food, but that's just heat for the sake of being heat. At least with Shin Ramyun Red there is some sort of pleasant taste to them.

Ordering drunk pizza is not a faux pas. That's basically half the reason for delivery.

That's not being a picky eater. Picky eaters don't eat things that are considered to be normal like onions or pickles.

For me, some $2 pasta sauce from Prego can be just as good as the fancy homemade stuff that takes 10 hours to make.

It's usually loaded with sugar as a shortcut to appeal to your tastebuds. Not saying it's wrong, but it's less healthy and when you cut down on sugars you do start to notice when they use them in products that aren't traditionally that sweet.

All that being said: Do I use cheap $2 or less pasta sauce in dishes?

Sure. Sometimes yeah.

My unpopular food opinion:

I'm not a fan of Italian sausage but I do agree bacon is overrated period

For clarification about my dislike on cheese on everything...

It's more of a dislike on it being in stuff I don't expect or don't want it to be in (let's say, cheesy bread, cheesy grits, Mexican corn which I did not expect....). I don't care for stuff that's solely cheese (cheese pizza, grilled cheese sandwiches...). Even had one bad incident where a hole-in-the-wall seafood place mixed in cheese with their fried shrimp batter. Hated it so much, I figured that was when I made decision to never go back to it.
Oh, and had a restaurant dress up my mashed potatoes "loaded" but used waay too much unmelted shredded cheese (in big chunks, too) that I wound up dumping the lot of that crap out.

only one i take major issue with is the sauce. It definitely doesn't take 10 hours to make a basic ass tomato sauce. And while there are some decent canned sauces if you really just want to get something on the table prego sucks ass, way too sweet.

I've heard that using starches other than corn starch actually helps with the breading. Potato starch is supposed to be superior in every way.

Yup. It absolutely is. In my experience, it'll help the breading stick to the meat much better than, say, regular ol' flour will.

heres my unpopular food opinion: picky eaters are annoying, close minded and were likely coddled as children. obviously if youre allergic to something, that doesnt count as being picky.

there is one thing that i refuse to eat and its sour cream. but Ill fuck with a good crema.

Bakery pizza is not that good. At least not the Sicilian style around here. I mean it's fine for a lunch or something, but I'd probably put chain pizza over it. Sometimes I think people act like it's great because they like the novelty of getting pizza from a bakery.

I haven't tried every fruit so I can't say for certain it's number one, but I definitely have always considered it terrible. Way too much mess, crappy texture and even the good ones barely have any flavor.

Unfortunately stuff like that has too much sodium. Otherwise I would make breaded Cheez-It chicken.

Eggplant parm > Veal parm

I think kraft mac & cheese is the best mac & cheese you can get. I've never had any other mac & cheese, whether it's home-cooked or not, that's better than kraft.

I also think little caesers is the best pizza chain, and I would take it over most local pizza places.
