He was able to attack extremely fast, and helped me out a ton. You have a princess who is trying to regain faith with her kingdom, so you could build up her character in the background doing odd side quests, protecting outpost towns, gaining their favor. So the eventual epilogue would not only feel better, but it would mean so much more. Also summoning Anima in that situation woulda been disastrous for his plans and it woulda kinda spoiled the Macalania temple fight. When he's in your party, it's not just a little slice of the game to show off how cool or powerful the antagonist is, it's a huge plot point that sets off the entire story. The characters that were involved in it spend most of the game dealing with the impact of it and coming to terms with what actually transpired. --- And that blood is so real, because I just can't fake it.
