I found this exception amusing and it is likely GoT is huge so it can get away with it.

I keep telling people this is the beginning of the end for NSFW content on the Internet. Between many sites scrubbing porn entirely and states in America making porn ban laws, sooner or later it will become illegal to even view porn even with a VPN and you'd get arrested for drawing NSFW.

Let's be real. Anything over 8 is objectively too much and is enough to kill a game. Why do you think Chrono Cross is seen as terrible beyond the mess of a story and why Suikoden as a franchise is dead? The only exception is if it is a monster catching game like Pokemon since those aren't characters.

Players can't handle more than 8 characters, story takes a nosedive, characters take a nosedive, and everything goes downhill.

It could work but you know there is gonna be a sizeable portion of people who will want Disneys head if this ever happened for obvious reasons.

This is why people want a civilization and reality without cops.

This is not what I expected and is tragic.

What i do wonder is what happens to his other ongoing projects like Dragon Ball Super and the upcoming Dragon Quest games. If it is like Berserk, either someone has a script for if something happened to him or he has someone who can take his place easily. Dragon Quest may be a bit difficult depending how far along 12 is in.

We wouldn't have a lot of anime or even games without his work influencing others.

Given how Zaslav has been actively screwing over their cartoon and comic book divisions because he simply doesn't like them regardless of profits, of course I feel skeptical with things.

With how much money is being squeezed due to modern capitalism and we have subscriptions to using cars and printers, expect in a few years. Say hello to 29.99 a month to visit Gamefaqs, Reddit, or Discord on top of a 19.99 subscription to view sites like Youtube or Wikipedia.

Yes I do. You do say that but it is an increasingly common opinion that people would rather have no law enforcement exist at all than risk having corrupted cops walk around.

I don't think they need to stop even though I 100% do not find it amusing, and almost always makes me like a character less. However, this is something that has changed as I've gotten older. It's fiction, and we don't necessarily need to clean up our fiction as long as everyone knows that it's not okay in real life and it's not something to aspire to.

Many people nowadays think fiction can affect reality. Some going as so far as to want fictional mediums to be regulated to "protect" people.

This will set a precedent that all emulators can be targeted and in ten-fifteen years, we'll be in a future without even NES emulators, much less modern emulators.

The only way for government alone to accomplish the level of safety they say they want to accomplish is to have cameras inside every room of every building in the country.

With where we're progressing, that very well may become a mandate at some point.

With how things have been going in the past few years, this is likely the path we are heading for our future in 10 years:

• We need to put our government ID in everything online and you will be questioned for having stuff like more than one Twitter account or why you downloaded a VPN.
• Speaking of VPN, those will be criminalized.
• Government mandated microchips in our body to locate us at all times. Double points if scientists go through the idea of inducing advertisements in dreams(That is actually something being researched right now).
• Subscriptions to even use appliances like microwaves and ovens.
• People arrested and jailed for looking at any kind of porn.
• The skies will have advertisement videos being played. Don't be surprised if you look up on a clear night and you see Elon Musks face trying to sell you Tesla products. Companies have been considering projecting videos of their ads into the skies.
• Misinformation becomes the norm. True news will be sniped and/or criminalized.
• Questioning the government or criticizing them will be criminalized.

Anything else you expect will happen in ten years.

I have seen it hundreds, if not thousands of times.

They may criminalize use of VPNs if KOSA passes.

There is a future where you'll have police bust down your door and slam you to the ground with handcuffs because you were using a VPN you downloaded six years ago.

I have been seeing some people who are so anti-porn that they want this to pass specifically so no one can look at porn.

And they don't know it'd also affect them. I worry this will pass and it will change our very way of life on the internet.

It'll also limit search results if you are deemed underage and be treated as such too. So imagine going on this very site and being unable to unless you have to give Fandom your government ID.
