On the other hand, constantly having to fuse weapons does get old pretty fast. TotK also definitively puts both games into their own timeline, if anyone cares about that, but that also kind of dulls the impact of Calamity Ganon in retrospect.

However, with Gen 4, a lot of kids started going into college and finding other people who also liked the Pokemon games, causing a resurgence in popularity among young adults.
