Between this and Trump getting 10 extra days to get the money for a reduced bond, rich white men will never be held accountable. Stop telling people to "just vote harder" when the deck is so heavily stacked against them, whether it's from voter suppression or a corrupt justice system.

It's up to people to hold them accountable.

Seeing as voters punished anyone who tried holding Paxton accountable through impeachment in local election primaries, it's on some level on them.

This is the man who banned porn.

He's also the man who through out hundreds of thousands of mail-in ballots, and sued to stop the certification of the 2020 presidential election, and used millions in tax payer funds to settle a lawsuit stemming from his corruption and bribery charges, and has vowed to prosecute doctors who perform abortions in the state of Texas, and literally - and I do mean literally, this isn't hyperbole - fled someone serving him a subpoena, claiming he thought it was a home invader.

$300k to make those charges go away.

What a fucking joke.

I'd be a lot more behind this if he also had to resign his position and they revoked his law license. People have lost their licenses for a lot less than this.
