Remember, until Trump gains 270 electoral vote in November, Trump has won jack shit.

Vote. Get everyone you know to vote. That's how we stop him.
Im in a solidly blue state.
But, havent numerous states been trying to make it incredibly hard for groups who might vote democrat to vote by changing laws over registration and how and where people can vote? Basically, trying to get Jim Crow results within the laws of the present time.
Thats nothing to say of places whove opted for voting machines from dubious sources.

Even if that's true, the line can't move until she finishes bagging, so it just makes sense to slow down, anyway, since if stuff falls on the floor... You're just causing the customer to take even longer to bag.
Idk for UK Aldis, but in the USA, theres a counter to take purchases to so that the customer can bag their groceries.
Again, Aldi uses minimal staffing, so the cashier speed-scanning is probably a necessity to deal with the lines and even if there wasnt a line, there probably often is a like so that speed becomes the default mode of the cashier.
The next question, unless the cashier was grossly incompetent (again, he sounds rude, but thats not an issue that should have affected the checkout process), why did the lady not have anywhere to put her purchases at the counter? Did she not have a cart to take the groceries away? Many people in Aldi take empty cardboard boxes from around the store to help them carry their purchases. By all accounts, this lady sounds like a dumbass. Instead of owning up to lack of planning on her part of checking out, she cries like shes been harmed.
Now imagine all the other people just trying to buy their groceries having to wait for this inefficient, idiot woman to stop being a mess.
Situations like this are why I use self-checkout when its available (and not a premium service because capitalism can be a hellscape).

Obviously the current president for the other party isn't doing a very good job if you guys think this is a serious problem. Just saying, maybe vote for someone outside these two garbage parties for a change?
The conflict on Israel is Bidens biggest embarrassment, and its a no-win situation where he isolates one group by supporting the other and loses outright taking no stance. Beyond that, republicans just hated on him for being a dem. Well, I guess some fiscally conservative people who may not be republicans could have been upset with him for spending money to help Ukraine. Considering Russias desire to undermine and manipulate politics in the USA and the constant cyberattacks Russia allows to happen, anything to disrupt and thwart Russia at this point in time is a positive.

See, you go for the moral high ground by trying to indicate that you vote to save the trans people. The reality of it is that people vote selfishly for things that benefit themselves and only themselves. You keep this rhetoric of "you are a Nazi if you don't vote for the messiah Joe Biden" when people even suggest that maybe just vote for someone else.
Im not Latino/a/e, but Trump playing up immigration fears against specific groups is disgusting and abhorrent. I am also not Arab, and Trumps statements against Arabs have also been unacceptable.
I cannot become pregnant and will likely never impregnate someone, yet I am furious at the loss of bodily autonomy inflicted upon those who can carry children because Trump stacked the Supreme Court with judges who would overturn Roe v Wade.

Im a sociopath who lacks empathy, so anyone making light or being dismissive of what is at stake raises more red flags than I raise with my normal day-to-day life. While I would support that system being dismantled from the ground-up by the voters, that is simply not what is happening, and now is not the time to take a risk where peoples lives could be at stake.

People in other countries absolutely can have views on politics in other countries. Dutertes was slaughtering Filipinos over drugs was abominable. Was it Bolsonaro who held a military parade for a dictator Brazil had to overthrow? I thought that was a smack in the face to the people of the country who had suffered under a dictator that they needed to oust.
I was a big fan of how New Zealand enforced lockdowns during the Covid pandemic, as well as their immediate and decisive response to a mass shooting to try and prevent future mass shootings. However, I am also aware of how the Mori are marginalized by the governments action in their own land.
Theres nothing wrong with holding views about politics in other countries, so long as those views arent garbage.
Watching tv, drawing, playing Sega Genesis if its 95, 96, or 97, maybe playing with a friend who lived on my block. I was a child back then.
My life has always sucked, so Im not going to try and weigh the few good things that ever happen against each other to determine what age was the time I was the least shitty.
I thought of a manatee.
Im on a train. If the manatee flops onto, Im crushed. Either way, the manatee dies.
Aldi has minimum staff, and Ive never seen one with more than two cashiers active. My local Aldi only ever has a second cashier jump on when the line gets really bad.

While the cashier sounds unprofessional verbally, and I also question not having a loose cart at checkout (my local Aldi has one so the customer can take that cart and leave the cart they brought up to the checkout line so that the cycle can perpetuate), the woman is crying over absolutely nothing and deserves berating for that.

I like the idea, but doesnt Project 2025 involve putting some shill at the top of the military (I unfortunately do not remember the title)? The average people of this country cannot handle the USAs military. The disparity between equipment and training is too vast. Thats assuming Trump doesnt have some goons like brown shirts or gestappo to do work before hes need to call on the military. Although, Trumps ego would probably have him use military power first.
Hes mused the idea in a joking manner and we saw what happened January 6th, 2021.

I never read the document, but summaries made it seem that Project 2024 has the goal of eliminating and removing all opposition to Trump and the hard rights goals and views. If they were to occur, could the USA successfully recover from such an event peacefully?
Unless Im eating Taco Bell, its much cheaper for me to cook at home in the long run. Even with current egg prices now, I can get a dozen eggs, English muffins or bagels, and cheese for like 5-7 dollars. Thats like a weeks worth of breakfasts. The same damn sandwich at Dunkin Donuts costs 5 dollars.
For dinner, I usually eat rice or pasta-based dishes. Good pasta dishes cost a helluva lot more, and if Im going to eat mediocre pasta, I dont want to pay for something thats twice the cost of the box of pasta and jar of sauce itself.

Depending on the situation, speaking out could lead to the citizens death. So whether or not the citizen speaks out is not the issue.
Whether or not the citizens support the terrorists is a different matter. Its also entirely possible, such as in the case of Palestine, the terrorists may attempt to help their people better than the alternative. In situations like that, there truly is no good answer.
As others have said nepotism and sometimes starting at the bottom can work.
I will say, more places should just train promising people who are at the bottom. That could build loyalty instead of wasting through people every few years or less.
The USA is so far right that centrists need to be better about dealing with the right. Its one thing to have a centrist view on matters such as taxation and how government money is spent. When it comes to moral issues, like protecting lgbtq+ people and dealing with violence against minorities, centrists who dont call out the villains on the right can fuck off.
Too many people are egotistical enough to the point that outright bluntness is the sometimes the only way to express a sentiment with any weight or meaning.
I would know, as I am one of the people who often in the past would behave in such a way. It is not uncommon to see others behave in such a way where tact is meaningless. This is to say, speaking with tact is often to speak without authority via the severity of the subject in ones voice. If the person can read you, the speaker, they may read you as petty as well.
This isnt to say bluntness need be rude. Simply, whatever result needs to be achieved needs to be clearly and plainly stated.

Tact is fine for harmless social interactions, but I find it useless for any situation that carries any weight.

I dont get how Jewish voters can go to Trump after Trump said there were very fine people when those people were white supremacists who shouted Jews will not replace us. Like, I could see Zionists not voting for Genocide Joe, but those Zionists (in the USA at least) supporting a man who was at most indifferent to that event is stupid and horrific.
Genocide Joe sucks, but weve heard and seen the alternative. Im not stupid enough to play some petty moral high ground game where I ignore a far worse evil.
The invasive has to outcompete. In the case of some invasive species. Like the cane toad, theyre unsafe.

Plenty of invasive species become food to the right predators. The problem is often humans have eradicated all predators in the local area.
Isolated islands are an an exception where humans ended up the outright dominant predator and therefor all subsequent invasive species have no real problems other than human management, such as in Australia and New Zealand

I do think the democrats dont ruffle enough feathers. Being crass assholes works for the republicans, so maybe the dems should give it a go.
Unlike social issues, which have fewer corporate defenders, environmental issues could actually risk these Captain Planet villain corporations from losing money. Destructive companies and industries dont care if someone is lgbtq+ or what war crimes are being committed (so long as it doesnt interfere with profits). But trying to not destroy the planet would make some people less money.

Im not the kind of person whod be flashy enough to attract a gold digger. Im super antisocial which pushes people away and while Id upgrade my outfit, what Id buy would be unlikely to make anyone aware I went up to millionaire status. Like, Id dress like a goth blob or Sonia Lazzo. That wouldnt pass beyond upper middle-class at best, and someone gold digging that turf is probably terribly pathetic. I dont drive and wouldnt get more than a comfortable residence (and lets be real, in the USA getting my own house in a place that I would consider worth living would take a sizable amount of the money anyway).
Now I could move to New Zealand, and I dont expect to become attractive there, but would it cheaper to get a house there?
Fuck it, Trump will probably win 2024 because Biden keeps bumbling and hes stuck in the shitshow of the conflict between Israel and Palestine and single-issue voters on either side will sit by while the man who called nazis very fine people and has probably suggested or outright said awful things towards Arab people climbs back into office. Housing cost be damned, lets move to. New Zealand and have be a physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially unattractive person there.

I acknowledge New Zealand hasnt been great to the Mori people, but Im from the USA, so I cant say that Im shocked about the horrid colonizers have inflicted on indigenous peoples.

I actually liked the law system. The law system made me change up the party and actually think about not just which units I used, but how I used them. It wasnt super-complex or challenging, but the restriction at the very least caused me to change it up a little.
$0. I never cared for them as an accessory and m I find them impractical as my phone serves as a timekeeping device. Ive never seen a watch strap that looked cool, and Ive seen cool bracelets and bangles that could be occupying that valuable wrist space instead.

Then maybe the people dealing with the negative consequences of these policies should be directly confronting those responsible.
You know, Id like to think the people who dont want babies would make sure contraceptives are involved, but many Americans are stupid. Theres also plenty of people who are incapable or barely capable of taking care of children that shouldnt be having kids, but the alternative answers are usually just as much of a hell for those children anyway. Its entirely possible those people either are outright voting against their own interests (Americans love to stick with a side, even when the side they chose hurts them).

Honestly, I feel bad for the people who dont have the security to move out of these states and are likely already struggling getting doctors and have long waits for appointments. The people most negatively impacted by this are likely the ones who had the least say in laws about abortion access, while the people with the most say likely can afford to go out-of-state to get the medical care they need. /pessimism

Theres no winning stance a US president can have in regards to the conflict. You lose Jewish votes or lose Palestinian votes. I would hazard that most people choosing a side who are not part of those two groups or in a family with someone from one of those two groups likely have other political issues, such as the economy, bodily autonomy, and maintaining some semblance of democracy, that are more likely to determine their vote.

FBI should be investigating this, but I doubt anything will happen even if they do. Didnt Boeing merge with some company that did military stuff? Id imagine itll take a lot more incidents, both for passengers and assassinated whistleblowers, for the USAs government not to look the other way. Like, probably enough incidents that the money Boeing needs to pay passenger victims will be more than they have to pay the government.

Also, from the article

"The new protocol which was enacted on Dec. 26, 2023, and described in an internal memo reviewed by The News as a zero tolerance drug policy beefs up the old rule by affirming that officers must immediately notify their district surgeon of any steroid prescription they receive and provide all supporting medical documentation to the surgeon backing up the need for the drug."

So basically they just have to provide the RX and proof that they're supposed to be taking it, and they're mad about that despite it being common sense.
Acab, but I hate having to list the medicinal drugs I take for my employers. I have taken prescribed steroids in the past for my lungs (I have asthma). But if were talking the kind of steroids that get athletes kicked out of competitions being taken just because, yeah, fuck them cops.
