I've watched them with people and even tried to get into them on my own, but they all have too much of a focus on sappy romance shit. You can tell that part is geared towards young women, and they just go too hard on all that for my tastes.

yea - The 100 (with the exception of the last two seasons), All American, iZombie, Riverdale (up to a point), Supernatural, Superman and Lois, The Vampire Diaries/The Originals, and Veronica Mars.

I hear that Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend are also good, but I never watched them.

crazy ex-girlfriend was good even if it kinda worse as it went on, with several love interests that all had no chance of being picked. there were a lot of musical duds too and i think a lot of the meta humor was really lame

I liked the arrowverse but they all started strong and burned out but still went for 5+ seasons after that. I did finish Supernatural eventually and the quality dipped a bit but it stayed enjoyable enough for me throughout.
Trying is the first step towards failure, so just dont give it a shot and you cant dissapoint.

A bunch. They are rarely high art but the CW has frequently been far more adventurous than the other broadcast networks, making their programming a breath of fresh air.

Arrow and Flash both started strong. Then fell off a cliff. So yes, when those were still good.

It's crazy how good izombie was considering the network it was on, those first 2 seasons were fantastic and the subsequent seasons were good too. I don't even like zombie related media, that's how great of a show it was. Rose mciver is fantastic. Wish more people would watch it.

Jane the virgin was the show that got me to finally get a netflix account, really funny show.

And crazy ex-girlfriend was great too. It's weird how all 3 shows have a terrible title that initially put me off watching them especially the latter 2, and yet they're easily the best thing from CW.
