Republicans know they'll be dead once climate change starts really hurting humans so they're just going to try and exploit and profit as much as they can. The average conservative just believe everything Republicans and the rich say so they're fine with letting the world go to shit. They don't even care about their grandchildren and so on. Shows what kind of people they are.Republicans are accelerating doomsday and believe they'll be Raptured long before any consequences of their actions towards the environment will take hold.
And so far it's looking like people on the leftLol this guy. Anything to blame the other side
Lol this guy. Anything to blame the other side
And so far it's looking like people on the left will continue to let states get away with this crap by focusing all in on social issues and short term humanitarian crises? Not to knock other issues, but climate change should be the leading issue for all of the first world, and yet people keep getting fixated on crap that will be relatively meaningless to people alive 50 years from now. Republicans have succeeded in making climate change just a dismal afterthought to young, mainstream lefties, and it is not the leading voting issue it should be.Are young people known for prioritizing on long-term issues?
Are young people known for prioritizing on long-term issues?
When Florida is claimed by the ocean the GOP will just blame DisneyThats the stupid thing Ive heard in a while and I honestly could see some dumbass politician saying that.
"All those parks and tourists weighed it down so it sank"
Anyone that thinks Democrats aren't largely to blame with climate crises due to their own complacency is a fucking ignorant moron.Unlike you, who is bravely blaming them and refusing to blame the people who are actually getting rid of environmental protections.
Unlike you, who is bravely blaming them and refusing to blame the people who are actually getting rid of environmental protections.Largely to blame, nah.
Like the person this topic is actually talking about.
Because you're totally a legitimate poster.
They're probably over there like "It's only gonna be like 3 feet higher by 2050 no big deal"."Global temperature went up a degree or two? Uh... just turn on the AC if you're so uncomfortable, snowflake! People work outside for 40 years in such weather!"
How does DeSantis manage to keep getting away with this kind of shit with no pushback?
How does DeSantis manage to keep getting away with this kind of shit with no pushback?Because the state is ruled by the GOP and we keep voting idiots into office here

How does DeSantis manage to keep getting away with this kind of shit with no pushback? The republicans in Florida have had unassailable control of the government there for over twenty years.

You clearly don't pay a damn bit of attention to the things I post if you think I'm refusing to blame the people getting rid of environmental protections. I'm frustrated that Democrats aren't putting more focus on this issue as it continues to spiral out of control. DeSantis supporters don't post here, and if they do, they're trolls not worth engaging with. Seriously, anyone trying to tell me I don't want to hold Republicans accountable can screw the hell off.
You clearly don't pay a damn bit of attention to the things I post if you think I'm refusing to blame the people getting rid of environmental protections.Huh, that's weird.
Anyone that thinks Democrats aren't largely to blame with climate crises due to their own complacency is a fucking ignorant moron. In a topic about Republicans actually gutting the protections, Democrats are "largely to blame." Republicans get a pass for unknown reasons.
Huh, that's weird.
Because what you said was:

So were you full of shit then or are you full of shit now?

Even Nikki Haley acknowledged climate change. Most Republicans know it's a problem. Even fucking Mitch McConnell acknowledged climate change happening due to human influence. They just don't want to do anything about it unless they feel absolutely compelled to.
Democrats as a whole have lost sight on this being the biggest issue we should tackle right now. This includes moderates that want to support the capitalist status quo and young protestor progressives that act like the President that passed the largest energy bill we've gotten is nothing more than a genocidal dictator. There is a real problem with Democrats that needs addressing because we're letting the real issues continue to fuck the world while infighting over lesser issues runs rampant.

LOL.
"In a topic about Climate Change I am going to bash Democrats and praise Nikki Haley and Mitch McConnell.
I also am a really super serious poster!!"
This is utter clownshoes.
If anything, I'm keeping the discussion going toward how we might better handle this issue instead of just sitting at the sidelines saying "Yup, Republicans sure suck!"
Even Nikki Haley acknowledged climate change. Most Republicans know it's a problem. Even fucking Mitch McConnell acknowledged climate change happening due to human influence. They just don't want to do anything about it unless they feel absolutely compelled to.Only so much you can do when the Republican arm of Congress believes that China created the hoax of global warming.

Literally no President has done more for climate change or green initiatives than President Biden. Dems are also frequently talking about it in general, the threat it poses, and that we need solutions. Though I can't speak for the FL party in particular, I imagine as a state party suffering heavily from it I can't imagine they're not discussing it.

It's time to quell that hateboner of yours. You're literally giving praise to Haley and McConnell while saying Dems are doing nothing. You're either so far left that you hate Dems more than Repubs and ironically help Republicans do further damage, or you're a right-winger trying to present yourself as anything else and doing a rather poor job of it.
continue to sidestep it because Democrats let themwuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut
And we've reach the Sean Hannity "I'm just asking questions" part of our program. Unreal.
Any human being over the age of 7 that focuses and blames climate change more on Democrats than Republicans is simply not worth the time. It is so ridiculous that if it isn't a trolling attempt then that person should be universally ignored.
Work on your reading comprehension. I actually very openly praised Biden, while I used Haley and McConnell examples of how Republicans currently acknowledge the issue but continue to sidestep it because Democrats let them. The Democrats I'm frustrated with are the ones attacking Biden, for all kinds of shit he can't really control and still win the election, even though he's actually got his head where it needs to be (yes, in spite of his age) in terms of what we can do as a country in mitigating as much of the issue as possible.
My biggest takeaway from this is that I would urge people to keep voting Democrat, regardless of whatever distractions come up within the party, because the worst thing you can do is let Republicans win.
wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut
It's not an issue of reading comprehension if I just don't read something you said. I haven't read every post you've made in response to other posters because that's between you and them.
What I saw is you come into a thread talking about how Ron DeSantis and Republicans made it illegal to mention climate change in any government documentation and almost immediately talk about how it's largely the fault of Democrats.
That will never be the case when Republicans are actively working towards ruining the planet in the name of fossil fuel interests.
No matter how disappointing and limp-dick Dems may be on the issue here and there, they will never be more at fault than those actively causing harm.
For the umpteenth fucking time, I never once said Democrats are MORE to blame. That's still weird, because again, you said:
Anyone that thinks Democrats aren't largely to blame with climate crises due to their own complacency is a fucking ignorant moron.
That's still weird, because again, you said:
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signs bill that strikes climate change from state lawHe heard the only way to kill Woke is to drown it.

Give it to the manatees and alligators at this point.
It's weird because overall Republicans have shifted away from "Climate change is a hoax and not real, stop talking about it as if it is. Those 99% of scientists whose job involves knowing where they're talking about in regards to the climate doesn't matter because I can point out dentists and chiropractors who say it's fake" to "ok fine, it's real, but it's too late to do anything and fossil fuel money go brrrrrrr".
People are not even denying it anymore but just care to much about there personal enjoyment over a doomed future...it really is at the point were most know they are screwed but would rather spend every moment they can how they want and let everyone else live in ruins.
Its like, we know now that most plastic stuff might give you cancer and just shrug it off...humanity really is becoming a race that knows its dooming itself for short term pleasure and is a race that as a whole has no real restraint.
If we fail to elect Biden in 2024, we will be letting Republicans continue to fuck the world through climate change. A lot of Democrats are still shitting on Biden during an election year and suggesting others not vote for him out of protest even though he's actually been the best president we've had for this particular issue. Those Democrats are the ones I really would like to call out. That has nothing to do with what you said. You blamed Dems for not getting Republicans in line, as if they had any choice in how Republicans act.
